Habs defeat the Edmonton Oilers and refs 5-2 in fascinating game | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 56
The Montreal Canadiens played tonight in Rogers Place against the Edmonton Oilers and would end up defeating them by a final score of 5-2 in regulation. In the 1st period goals from Cole Caufield and Evander Kane would keep it tied 1-1 until late it was Brendan Gallagher's 1st goal in 17 games for the 2-1 lead into the 2nd period. In said 2nd period Ryan McLeod would controversially score his 1st in 18 games for the tie game, but Nick Suzuki after some controversy would make it 3-2 Canadiens. In the 3rd period Habs would score shorthanded with Artturi Lehkonen with his 4th goal in as many games, and Mike Hoffman would put home the empty net goal for the 5-2 victory. With this victory tonight the Montreal Canadiens are now 15-34-7 with 37 points, currently 2nd last in the NHL standings. Breaking news from this afternoon the Montreal Canadiens announce they have fired head coach Dominique Ducharme after a 7-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils last night. Canadiens get destroyed 7-2 by the Edmonton Oilers | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 43
The Montreal Canadiens played tonight at home in the Bell Centre against the Edmonton Oilers and would end up losing getting destroyed 7-2 in regulation. In the 1st period it was a repeat of last game down 3-0 with goals from Evander Kane, Zach Hyman, and Leon Draisital as Montreal would keep tanking. In the 2nd period Josh Anderson would make it 3-1 but an immediate response from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins followed up by Zach Hyman's 2nd of the game for the 5-1 lead. Tyler Toffoli would make it 5-2 but Leon Draisital's 2nd would make it 6-2 into the 3rd period. The lone goal of the 3rd period was scored by Derek Ryan for the 7-2 victory in regulation. With this loss the Canadiens are now 8-28-7 with 23 points for last place in the NHL. Canadiens defeat Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a thrilling shootout | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 31
The Montreal Canadiens played at home tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers and would end up beating them 3-2 in a shootout. Artturi Lehkonen would open the scoring in the 1st period but in the 2nd period Max Willman and Jackson Cates would score to give the Flyers the 2-1 lead but late in the 3rd period Laurent Dauphin would score his 1st goal since December 2015 to tie the game and send it to overtime! No goals would be scored in the overtime period but in the shootout the lone goal would be scored by Jonathan Drouin to win the game for Montreal and give them a 7-21-3 record with 17 points in the Eastern Conference. Canadiens lose 4-1 to the Buffalo Sabres in regulation | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 22
The Montreal Canadiens played in Buffalo against the Sabres and would end up losing by a final score of 4-1 in regulation. In the 1st period Tage Thompson opened the scoring but Josh Anderson tied it for a 1-1 game after 20. In the 2nd period goals from Cody Eakin and a shorthanded marker from Kyle Okposo would give the Sabres the 3-1 lead and in the 3rd period 2nd of the night for Tage Thompson gives the Buffalo Sabres the 4-1 victory in regulation. With this loss the Canadiens are now 5-15-2 with 12 points in the Eastern Conference. Montreal Canadiens lose 4-2 to Ducks for 2-8-0 record | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 10
The Montreal Canadiens played tonight at the Honda Center and would end up losing to the Anaheim Ducks in regulation by a final score of 4-2. In the 1st period power-plays goal from Adam Henrique of the Ducks, Mike Hoffman of the Canadiens to tie the game, and Vinni Lettieri of the Ducks for the 2-1 lead would bring us to the 2nd where Jake Evans would tie the game up late before history would be made in the 3rd period as Ryan Getzlaf with the primary assist on a Troy Terry breakaway goal would surpass Teemu Selanne as the Anaheim Ducks' all-time points leader before Connor Carrick would get the empty netter to seal the deal for an Anaheim Ducks' victory. Montreal Canadiens fall 5-2 to the Los Angeles Kings for 7th loss | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 9
The Montreal Canadiens played at the Staples Center today against the Los Angeles Kings in an early game before Halloween and would end up losing by a score of 5-2 in regulation. In the 1st period the only goal would be scored by Josh Anderson for his 2nd of the season, but Viktor Arvidsson would tie the game up in the 2nd period before a goal by Arthur Kaliyev would get the 2-1 lead, then in the 3rd period Rasmus Kapari and Adrian Kempe would get goals to make it 4-1 but after Kempe's 2nd of the night for the 5-1 lead, Ben Chiarot would score late in the 3rd to make it respectable as the final score would be 5-2 win for the Kings.
