The Montreal Canadiens played in Buffalo against the Sabres and would end up losing by a final score of 4-1 in regulation. In the 1st period Tage Thompson opened the scoring but Josh Anderson tied it for a 1-1 game after 20. In the 2nd period goals from Cody Eakin and a shorthanded marker from Kyle Okposo would give the Sabres the 3-1 lead and in the 3rd period 2nd of the night for Tage Thompson gives the Buffalo Sabres the 4-1 victory in regulation.
