Canadiens get destroyed 7-2 by the Edmonton Oilers | Habs 2021-22 Season | Episode 43

The Montreal Canadiens played tonight at home in the Bell Centre against the Edmonton Oilers and would end up losing getting destroyed 7-2 in regulation. In the 1st period it was a repeat of last game down 3-0 with goals from Evander Kane, Zach Hyman, and Leon Draisital as Montreal would keep tanking. In the 2nd period Josh Anderson would make it 3-1 but an immediate response from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins followed up by Zach Hyman's 2nd of the game for the 5-1 lead. Tyler Toffoli would make it 5-2 but Leon Draisital's 2nd would make it 6-2 into the 3rd period. The lone goal of the 3rd period was scored by Derek Ryan for the 7-2 victory in regulation. With this loss the Canadiens are now 8-28-7 with 23 points for last place in the NHL.
