Penn State & Matt Campbell Have a Huge QB Recruiting Decision to Make

Penn State football is still working through its 2027 quarterback recruiting board, and Peter Bourque remains one of the biggest names to watch. But with Auburn and Ohio State now involved, the Nittany Lions may have a real decision to make as Bourque’s recruitment continues to gain national attention. On this Locked On crossover, Zach Seyko and Zac Blackerby break down Penn State’s pursuit of Peter Bourque, Auburn’s push at quarterback, Ohio State’s possible involvement, Will Wood’s rise as a legitimate Penn State QB option, and how NIL, early playing time, and quarterback depth could shape the 2027 recruiting cycle. This matters because Penn State cannot afford to miss on multiple quarterback targets while the rest of the 2027 QB market starts to settle. If Bourque wants to extend the process, Penn State may need to decide how aggressively it wants to pursue Will Wood before another program gets involved. Texas Tech Football SHOCKER: BIG 12 Moves To Ban Brendan Sorsby?!

Texas Tech football has been hit with a massive quarterback crisis as Brendan Sorsby has taken an indefinite leave of absence to enter a residential treatment program for gambling addiction while the NCAA investigates alleged sports betting activity. Sorsby, who transferred from Cincinnati to Texas Tech, was expected to be the centerpiece of the Red Raiders’ 2026 season, but now his eligibility is in serious doubt. Reports say Sorsby allegedly placed thousands of online sports bets, including wagers tied to Indiana football games during his time at Indiana, though reports also state he did not play in those games. NCAA rules prohibit athletes from betting on college and professional sports, meaning this case could have major consequences for Sorsby, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, NIL collectives, and the future of college football gambling enforcement. On today’s episode of The Monty Show, we break down what happened, whether Brendan Sorsby could be ruled ineligible, how Texas Tech moves forward at quarterback, and why this story is much bigger than one player. Is this the beginning of a much larger college football gambling crisis? Drop your thoughts in the comments: should Brendan Sorsby be allowed to play again, or should the NCAA make an example out of this case? Big Ten QB Rankings
Big Ten QB Rankings

Bring on the hate. I already know people are going to be upset with a couple of these. Who’s too high? Who’s too low? Who is just right? Dante Moore and Jayden Maiava are easily the best 2 QBs in the Big 10. Some would even argue in the country. Some people may argue that Julian Sayin is the best QB in the Big 10. I think he just has the best weapon. I think Demond Williams has a chance to finish as the best QB. Last year it felt like he disappeared against defenses with a pulse. Let’s see if he can take that next step this year. This is one might get some hate. I think Drake Lindsey is a top 5 QB in the Big Ten. I think last year we saw a few glimpses of how great he could be. Josh Hoover turn the ball over a little too much to be top 5. Maybe that drops now that he’s on a better team. Time will tell. Rocco Becht is a good QB, not a great QB. He’s not a Quarterback that is going to elevate the offense, but give him some solid weapons and he will thrive. Malik Washington didn’t get enough love last season. A lot of that has to do with his receivers failing to hold onto the ball, and he was on a bad Maryland team. Nico Iamaleava was one bright spot on a pretty bad UCLA team. Hopefully with a new coaching staff we see him take a significant jump. Let’s see if Katin Houser can make that jump back into the Big Ten after a good season at ECU. I think he’ll be fine. Not great. I cannot wait for the Anthony Colandrea experience at Nebraska. There’s gonna be a lot of ups and downs. It’ll be fun to watch. This is the one that could potentially make me look dumb. I wasn’t impressed with Underwood’s first season, but some of it wasn’t his fault. A new coaching staff and potentially better weapons might change my mind. Lonergan was one of the few bright spots on a bad Boston College team. I’m sure he’ll be fine for Rutgers. Colton Joseph is dangerous with his legs, and he’s probably going to give the Gophers problems. He is not the greatest passer though, and that will be his downfall in the Big Ten this year. Alessio Milivojevic played really well after he took over as the starter. Maybe I’m not being fair, but it’s only been 4 games. Aidan Chiles is too up and down with too many turnovers. Maybe Chip Kelly can bring some consistency to his game. Peace and love to Ryan Browne, but he’s never done anything to show me that he belongs any higher in the rankings. In his defense, he does play for Purdue. Idk who Iowa’s QB is going to be. I don’t think it matters. It will be a step down from Gronowski in my opinion. #collegefootball #viral #football #foryou #fyp #shorts #BigTen #bigtenfootball #b1gfootball #OhioStateFootball #OhioState #OhioStateBuckeyes #Oregon #OregonFootball #OregonDucks #USC #USCFootball #USCTrojans #Washington #WashingtonFootball #WashingtonHuskies #Minnesota #MinnesotaFootball #MinnesotaGophers #RTB #SkiUMah #GoGophers #Indiana #IndianaFootball #IndianaHoosiers #PennState #PennStateFootball #PSU #PSUFootball #Maryland #MarylandTerrapins #MarylandFootball #UCLA #UCLAFootball #UCLABruins #IllinoisFootball #Illinois #Nebraska #GBR #NebraskaFootball #NebraskaCornhuskers #Michigan #MichiganFootball #MichiganWolverines #GoBigBlue #Rutgers #RutgersScarletKnights #RutgersFootball #Wisconsin #WisconsinBadgers #WisconsinFootball #MichiganState #MichiganStateFootball #MichiganStateSpartans #Northwestern #NorthwesternFootball #NorthwesternWildcats #Purdue #PurdueFootball #PurdueBoilermakers #Iowa #IowaHawkeyes #IowaFootball
