The Mississippi native majored in psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi while competing on the track and field team. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Bowie won a silver medal in the 100-meter race and bronze in the 200. She ran the anchor leg for the U.S. 4x100m relay. That team brought home the gold medal.
