Miami gave shooting guard Tyler Herro a max rookie deal extension. Herro was the NBA 6th Man of the Year in 2022 and averaged 20.7 PPG for the Miami Heat. Last season the Heat were the no. 1 seeded team in the Eastern Conference. They managed to stretch the favorited Boston Celtics to a game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals before Jimmy Butler missed a potential game winning three at the end of regulation. Butler and the Heat will enter the 2022-2023 season undoubtedly with that same energy. Herro hopes to act as a spark plug from range as he has the past two seasons. Bam Adebayo remains their interior defensive menace. Kyle Lowry will hope to put a bad postseason behind him. The Heat did lost P.J. Giannis on the Bulls : "It's obvious, everyone would like to play in Chicago. They've won multiple championships with per the best player in history. In the future who knows, I am now engaged to the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis is signed to play with the Milwaukee Bucks until the 2025 season where he has a player options. Eastern Conference Finals Preview : Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat Predictions | The Slumpbuster Pod
The Boston Celtics defeated the defending NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks in seven games to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Grant Williams seven 3-pointers and 27-points propelled the Celtics to a crushing defeat of the Bucks. Jayson Tatum contributed with 23-points and went five-for-nine from behind the arc as well. Boston will travel to Miami for game one of the conference finals on Tuesday night. The Heat have had since Wednesday to rest after taking care of the Philadelphia 76ers. Butler put up 32-points in the close out game to knock out Joel Embiid and James Harden. Miami and Boston have two of the better defenses in the league but which teams offense will provide the biggest spark? Welcome in Slumpbusters! The Championship round in the NFL was electric to say the least. For the first time since 1988 the Cincinnati Bengals will advance to the Super Bowl. Cincinnati had to overcome a 21-3 halftime deficit to get there though. The Bengals defense after getting burnt early was dominating late, holding the Chiefs to a mere three points in the second half. Joe Burrow threw two touchdowns in the victory and has made a Super Bowl in only his second year starting coming off major knee surgery. Welcome in Slumpbusters! For the third time this season the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will faceoff. The 49ers have gotten better of the Rams twice this season and in six consecutive games. To get here the 49ers have had to win back-to-back-to-back road games and will be coming back to California after a game on the frozen tundra. San Francisco was stifled offensively but thanks to some key special teams plays walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers. The Rams had to travel to Tampa to beat the defending Super Bowl Champions. Tom Brady battled back from a 27-3 deficit but his heroics weren't enough as Los Angeles won 30-27. Will San Francisco be able to extend their winning stream over Los Angeles?
