Axel Jungk of Germany grabbed silver, 0.66 seconds behind him, while Yan of China made history by taking bronze, 0.76 seconds behind him. In the five sliding competitions so far at these Winter Games, German athletes have taken home eight of the 15 medals available, including all five golds. Germany also dominated Olympic test events at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre in October and November of last year. Captain of Cameroon makes bizarre criticism about Mo Salah| Egypt News| NewsRme

Cameroon's Vincent Aboubakar has slammed Egypt's Mohamed Salah in a peculiar "honest" critique ahead of Cameroon's Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against Egypt. Cameroon captain Aboubakar has scored six goals in this year's competition, helping his side to the semi-finals with his six goals. For a spot in the final versus Senegal, they will face Egypt on Thursday night. Aboubakar, a member of the Porto team that drew 0-0 with Liverpool in 2018, spoke to French outlet RFI before of the match about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. At the end of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final, he was pitted against a player largely regarded the finest in the world today, and the 30-year-old insisted: "He doesn't impress me much." Salah "doesn't generate a lot of things in the game," according to Aboubakar, who compared the Egyptian to Paris Saint-Kylian Germain's Mbappe. I find it unusual that a player who is just five months older than Salah has chosen to play in Saudi Arabia instead of one of Europe's top five leagues. Sadio Mane taken to hospital following AFCON success with Senegal | UK News | NewsRme

An image of Liverpool forward Sadio Mane lying in a hospital bed after Tuesday's frightening head collision at the Africa Cup of Nations has surfaced online. In Senegal's 2-0 last 16 triumph against Cape Verde, Mane had an exciting second half before being substituted after 70 minutes. As Sadio Mane was about to score a goal, Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha was sent off for a clumsy challenge on the outside of the area. Mane seemed to be 'knocked out' after the collision, according to BBC's John Bennett. He was allowed to play, and just six minutes later, he made an amazing curling goal that put the game on the board. With 20 minutes to go, he seemed to be concussed by his collision with Vozinha. Washington thrashes the New York Giants 22-7 | US News | NewsRme

It was a miserable season for the New York Giants (4-13), who lost 22-7 to the Washington Football Team on Sunday. The Giants' last six games were all losses by double digits, tying a team record for the most such defeats in a season. Their 158-point disparity was the worst of any NFC team. As terrible as the Giants' 2021 season has been, this past Sunday's game was a microcosm of the whole season. Despite Jake Fromm's poor performance, New York's offensive was still terrible. He threw 15 of 31 passes for 103 yards, a dismal percentage. The fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Darius Slayton was his first of his career, but he also threw two interceptions, the latter of which came on the last play of the game. The last play of the game, in which he intercepted a pass, was a fitting finale to a terrible season. Coach Joe Judge has often claimed that his players haven't given up despite the team's record. Some players didn't appear to give it their best, though, on Sunday.
