Washington thrashes the New York Giants 22-7 | US News | NewsRme

It was a miserable season for the New York Giants (4-13), who lost 22-7 to the Washington Football Team on Sunday. The Giants' last six games were all losses by double digits, tying a team record for the most such defeats in a season. Their 158-point disparity was the worst of any NFC team. As terrible as the Giants' 2021 season has been, this past Sunday's game was a microcosm of the whole season. Despite Jake Fromm's poor performance, New York's offensive was still terrible. He threw 15 of 31 passes for 103 yards, a dismal percentage. The fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Darius Slayton was his first of his career, but he also threw two interceptions, the latter of which came on the last play of the game. The last play of the game, in which he intercepted a pass, was a fitting finale to a terrible season. Coach Joe Judge has often claimed that his players haven't given up despite the team's record. Some players didn't appear to give it their best, though, on Sunday.
