Minnesota Wild vs Vegas Golden Knights Game 2 Preview

The Minnesota Wild and the Vegas Golden Knights will face off in Game 2 of the first round Tuesday at 7pm at the T-Mobile Arena. The Wild defeated Vegas in Game 1 1-0 in overtime. Both Cam Talbot and Marc- Andre Fleury were solid in Game 1. Talbot recorded 42 saves on 42 shots, and Fleury saved 29-30 shots. In injury news for the Vegas Golden Knights. Max Pacioretty is day-to-day according to Coach DeBoer. The medical staff will see if he can play in game 2. DeBoer also described that Vegas needs to get depth scoring and the Knights need to be dangerous throughout the lineup. Also, it should be interesting to see who DeBoer starts in goal. The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in the first game of the team's two-game series. Marc Andre-Fleury and Devan Dubnyk started in goal for their two teams. Both goaltenders played well enough to give their teams a chance to win, and the Golden Knights took advantage of their opportunities. Max Pacioretty scored on a Vegas powerplay halfway through the first period, and while the Sharks were controlling the play, the Knights found themselves leading after one. In the second period, the Golden Knights put their feet on the gas, outshooting the Sharks 16-4 in the second frame. Then, early in the third period, Mark Stone scored from Pacioretty to increase the Golden Knight lead to 2. San Jose did pressure though and cut the deficit in half with less than 6 minutes remaining after a Meier goal. In the last two minutes, there were a couple of close calls, but the Golden Knights held on. Vegas is four points ahead of second place in the West division, and while his team lost tonight, Devan Dubnyk played great. These two teams will face off against one another again on Wednesday.
