Islanders fans team up with singer for epic national anthem performance ** (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) ** This rendition of the national anthem will give you chills. Singer-songwriter Nicole Raviv, who’s a regular opening act at Islanders games, teamed up with the sellout crowd of 13,917 fans inside Nassau Coliseum to sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of New York’s 6-2 win over the Bruins. Raviv started to sing the anthem, before she lowered her microphone to let the loud crowd take over. She closed out the song with a stunning vocal performance in Isles blue. The moment was extra special for Raviv, who experienced technical difficulties during her performance Saturday before Game 4 of the second-round playoff series. But Isles fans ended up singing the anthem, and clearly kept the new tradition alive in Game 6. #news #Islanders #fans #team #singer #epic #national #anthem #performance -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "NASA : ‘Concerning’ asteroid will break into Earth’s orbit in a week" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTC4RnjcSpM -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Michael Jordan made scoring look easy, while James Harden is defying basketball mathematics by remaining ridiculously efficient on all-time high usage volumes; Durant is up there, and it’s his combination of athletic gifts and natural talents that make him unstoppable. Even though KD is listed at 6-foot-10 in his official NBA profile, it’s widely known he’s somewhere closer to 7 feet, if not right at 7 feet, with shoes. This sort of length, combined with an elite jump shot, makes it nearly impossible for fellow forwards and wings to block him or defend him consistently. This man nearly averages a 50/40/90 line for his entire career, having averages of 27 points, seven rebounds, and four assists on 49.3% shooting from the field, 38.2% from three, and 88.3% from the free throw line. Since the 2011-2012 season, he’s never shot below 50% from the field. He’s been 94th percentile or above among forwards on points per shot attempt since 2011. He’s a four-time scoring champion. These are just some examples of his accolades and numbers, but it’s really hard to put into words how ridiculously efficient Durant is considering the high volume of shots he takes. It’s been like this ever since his second season as a member of the OKC Thunder. In his first year in the league, he averaged 20 points on 43% field goals and 29% from three, which is quite inefficient for his standards. By next year, he was already up to 25 points per game on 48% field goals and 42% from three. His high-scoring, efficient show continued in OKC for seven seasons before he decided that his “Next Chapter” would come in a Golden State Warriors jersey. When we thought KD was at the apex of the point where efficiency and volume could possibly meet, he proved us all wrong and took things to a whole different level. After averaging 29 points per game in seven seasons from his third year in the league to 2016, his last one in OKC, Durant didn’t have a single campaign of over 26 points per game in Golden State. That may sound like a step back, but KD actually took a step forward in efficiency. In his three years as a Warrior, he shot 52.4% from the field, compared to 49.2% in his previous seven seasons. His three-point shooting was equally lethal in OKC and Golden State, but it was his two-point shooting that shot up. Durant shot 58.6% on two-pointers while in Golden State, compared to 53.3% in OKC. The defensive gravity of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson allowed KD to drastically improve his efficiency in exchange for just three points per game. The partnership paid dividends, as the Warriors won two championships on the two years Durant was healthy, with both Finals MVP awards going to him as well. He was criticized by anybody who wasn’t a Warriors fan. He was told that he was a snake and a sellout, that he got two cheap rings after signing with the team that beat him in the playoffs, that his Finals MVP trophies didn’t mean a thing, that Steph Curry was the true leader of the team and that Durant could never lead a franchise to a championship as the alpha male. All of these things weighted hard on Durant’s mind, which is why he knew that when he became a free agent on the summer of 2019, he was out of San Francisco. Welcome to Hoopers Nation where we go over the latest NBA 2020 news, from life inside the NBA bubble to the backstories of players in the league. Today, we look at the Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets. With the new addition of James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant the Nets are looking like a real threat to the LeBron James and the rest of the NBA this 2021 season. Will Kevin Durant finally get his ring? Or will another be upset to the Eastern Conference. This makes the East a lot more interesting with the Nets now being better favorites to win the East, but not the NBA championship. Shows such as First Take, The Herd, First Things First, and other FS1 and ESPN shows. Kevin Durant highlights speak for themselves to show how good he is, but the real question is Kyrie Irving situation and when he plans to return. With James Harden aslo coming to the Nets it Puts Kyrie in the 3rd seat in the big 3 they formed #NBA #HoopersNation #Nets

February 16th, 2020 | Seattle Seawolves vs Old Glory DC

In front of a sellout crowd of nearly 3,000 faithful, history was made in Washington, D.C. when Old Glory DC notched its first Major League Rugby victory against the two-time defending champion Seattle Seawolves, 28-22. At Cardinal Stadium at Catholic University, OGDC took more than 80 minutes of rugby to defeat its foe, but the team never backed down, never quit. In the final moments on their own goal line, the defense stood tall and held up the attacking Seawolves in the try zone for the victory. The grandstand erupted in jubilation after the final whistle, and Old Glory DC celebrated its first professional triumph with its fans on the pitch. It was a night and day performance from Old Glory’s first match against NOLA. The takeaways from the first week and addition of Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira changed the attitude, mindset, and confidence of the club. The set piece improved, setting a platform that allowed Old Glory DC to maintain possession for long stretches of the game. The increased pressure on defense forced Seattle to make some uncharacteristic errors, which ultimately caused them difficulty in exiting their own half. The fans willed the team to excel on the field in the last ten minutes, and Old Glory DC gave them an extremely satisfying victory in return.
