Why Players Don't Like Stephen Curry
Why Players Don't Like Stephen Curry

NBA players keep disrespecting Stephen Curry, but why? @MJPLAYSALLDAY STREAMING RN, making Steph Curry in NBA 2K23 TikTok- https://www.tiktok.com/@mj_allday Twitter- @MJ2KALLDAY Steph Curry is not dominant…not in the traditional sense and for some reason, NBA players haven’t caught on. Curry is just catching strays. People are stunned to even put Curry in the conversation as the best player in the NBA right now. He’s getting disrespected by peers and NBA legends and it’s because he’s not 6’ 6”. And I stand by it. But while I was saying this in respect to the media underrating Curry, this is similar to how other NBA players are seeing it. They’ve accepted him as the greatest shooter of all time, but even that is limiting what Curry is. Give props to Shaq for giving Giannis his props early, saying he’s the best player in the world after winning a championship, and now saying Curry is the best player in the world, but for the most part players, they don’t believe Curry is able to take over the game by himself, that he needs screens, that he needs Draymond and Klay to be Steph. And sure he may not power through people, but did everyone just forget two seasons ago when he led the league in scoring averaging 32 points a game? When he was cooking everyone? Just because Curry runs through a bunch of screens doesn’t mean he also doesn’t score by himself. Curry tends to isolate less than other superstars which is why this conversation even begins. However, Steph does rank as one of the most efficient isolation players in the league. In 2020-2021 for all players averaging over 1 iso possession per game, Steph was 5th in points per iso possession. But the sample size was small simply because of the low iso frequency. It isn’t like he’s not creating shots. Let’s look at Game 4 in the NBA Finals. Moving off-ball, running off screens, these aren’t shots that were just there. These are shots created by Curry running tight routes, catching the ball the right way into the shot. But none of these are isos because Curry didn’t create a shot off the dribble. The Warriors play with a faster pace and move the ball quick, usually ranking top 5 in the NBA. Curry himself prefers to attack quickly so rather than isolate the switch, man just takes the opportunity to cook. But we can even look at something so simple as finishing. Again, Steph is not powering his way through the paint, but what he is doing is being one of the most efficient finishers in the NBA. Again, Curry isn’t a leader in drives per game, more like top 40 in the NBA, still more than a lot of player. Yet he is usually amongst the league leaders in finishing inside the paint, even shooting 70% from the paint in 2016, higher than LeBron. And again, I will always say this, if it was so easy to do what Curry does, constantly run the entire game, juking defenders without the ball, everyone would do it. And because Curry isn’t 6’ 6” or above, his size is a liability which is rightfully so. This isn’t a pound for pound conversation. However we’ve never said that about Kevin Durant while he was winning Finals MVPs. Just a double standard when it comes to Curry but I’ll admit, this is a legitiment claim. However, more players bring up the flaws in Curry’s offensive game. **But what do you think? Is Curry in the conversation for best player in the NBA?**

How Is THIS Happening AGAIN?!
How Is THIS Happening AGAIN?!

The Kevin Durant drama gets even crazier as both Marc Spears from ESPN and Marcus Thompson from the Athletic write that the Warriors superstars have been in communication with KD and a potential comeback to Golden State for him has been mentioned. Wait what?! Let’s go through all the details and explain everything. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it. Ok so we already know that Brooklyn is asking for an All star level player and multiple young prospects. Golden State has a lot of young players with tremendous potential in Poole, Kuminga, Moody, and even Wiseman who’s still a mystery box at this point. Also, the value of Andrew Wiggins right now is the highest that’s ever been, so he could as well be thrown into this deal. But does it make sense to do it? Poole developed into a blistering hot scorer, putting up 18.5 points per game last season, Kuminga and Moody both showed flashes of being great 2 way players even in the limited time that they got last season. This is a great young core that could help the aging core of Steph, Klay and Draymond bring this team a few more championships. So then this report looks strange. The Warriors superstars have been in conversations with Durant. In addition to catching up, the Hall of Fame-bound peers did entertain the idea of a reunion. You can pause the video to go through the entire paragraph, but why would they swap their bright future for 2-3 years of who knows what type of circus with a 34 year old KD? Well, someone from the Warriors revealed to the Athletic the real reason for that: Because it’s Kevin freaking Durant. A once in a generation type of offensive player and we saw how unstoppable that team was. So according to people in the Golden State organization, the guys are open to having Durant back. Which is interesting to hear because Draymond and KD have had a few back and forth sneaky jabs. Whether it’s on a podcast And there was also this petty exchange on twitter where Durant tweeted after game 1 of the finals which Golden State lost, and then check the date, Green remembered and waited for almost 2 weeks to tweet those same exact words back after he won the title. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the slight back and forth between the 2 sides ever since KD left, but hey, I guess winning heals everything. To me however this makes the least sense for Durant himself. He couldn’t win in Oklahoma, then joined the Warriors in a move that’s probably the most scrutinized in NBA history, and got his wish fulfilled regardless. He won 2 championships and 2 finals MVP’s, but as he said it himself, it didn’t feel good. He wasn’t happy. So from there to go to Brooklyn ending up in a debacle, and to once again come to Golden State? That’s ridiculous. And how would it feel to win yet another championship on this superteam that’s not going to be acknowledged by the critics? What would that do to his legacy? I don’t really care about legacy to be honest, and those top 10 debates on ESPN are beyond insane. MAD DOG BOB COUSY CLIP But as we know Durant is one of the more sensitive when it comes to criticism and how he’s perceived, so to do a full replay of what happened the last time- after already admitting how that made him feel- to me that’s unthinkable. So we’re all waiting to see if Kevin Durant is about to do the unthinkable. Can you imagine this team being formed once again? Do you think they win the title by default? Let me know in the comments. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

Stephen Curry Just EXPOSED The NBA Media
Stephen Curry Just EXPOSED The NBA Media

Stephen Curry just exposed NBA media by carrying the Warriors and winning FMVP, and it’s time we call him dominant. I’m recording this as the Warriors are dogging the Celtics right now in Game 6. Curry is carving the defense and I’m just thinking to myself…this is the same Celtics defense that made Durant not wanna shoot, the same defense that couldn’t stop Giannis, but have two games shooting under 40%. We were told that this is one of the best defenses in the past few years. And while the Celtics shortcoming was their streaky offense, like why are you not passing or shooting this, the Warriors were able to score 110 points per game. And the entire Warriors offense no matter if you’re drop coveraging or not letting him touch the ball revolves around Stephen Curry. This is a short video meant to start a conversation, Charles Barkley. The Curry FMVP videos are coming, but I just want to understand. When are we going to admit that Curry is dominant? The NBA media has been unable to wrap their heads around Curry. They don’t know how to evaluate the greatest shooter ever because calling him that still isn’t enough to capture his greatness. His dominance is not traditional. It’s not posting up, not dunking over players, shooting midranges, he’s a point guard. And this through the wire podcast clip got my interest. Steph Curry is the best player 6’ 3” and under. But all the people he’s compared to, LeBron, Magic, heck KD, all of them have shown the traditional way, powering through, getting the ball in the low block elbow iso. Curry doesn’t fit any of that, but he dominates. He runs off screens, he makes defenders forget where they are, he has the defense in a panic all the way to half court. Heck in college, he was doubled for an entire game even when he didn’t have the ball. Defending Curry is mentally exhausting. Curry has faced double and triple teams while other stars got single coverage. I think it’s time to change the definition of dominance. And now the media is forced to acknowledge that. But don’t forget they are the same media that were telling you 3 years ago that Curry couldn’t carry a team. And at every level, Curry has had to prove them wrong. From leading the league in scoring when his peers said he won’t get the same looks without Klay and KD to now being the main man again winning a championship as if 2015 didn’t exist. If the 3 pointer is now the most important shot in the NBA and this guy is the best to ever do it, that’s dominant. But what do you think? And where do you rank Steph Curry all-time now.
