#NHL #CSP #LEAFSNATION #GMAE1 #2022PLAYOFFS The Tampa Bay Lightning grabbed home-ice advantage in their first-round playoff series, but the Toronto Maple Leafs could have the momentum entering Game 3 at Tampa on Friday night. A 5-3 victory Wednesday night gave the Lightning a split of the opening two games at Toronto in the best-of-seven series. Three of the next five games, as needed, are scheduled to be played in Tampa. The Maple Leafs aren't down and have kept the focus on scoring twice late in the third period on Wednesday as a positive step. Toronto responded with Michael Bunting's goal, but Kucherov scored on the power play soon after with Toronto right winger Wayne Simmonds in the box. Mitchell Marner had a goal and an assist for Toronto and Auston Matthews added two assists. The Lightning staged a comeback of their own on Wednesday after losing a 5-0 embarrassment in Game 1. Led by Victor Hedman's playoff career-best four points (one goal, three assists) and Andrei Vasilevskiy's goaltending, the Lightning showed why they're in the running for a third straight Stanley Cup. After going 0-for-5 on the power play Monday, the Lightning were 3-for-7 with the man advantage on Wednesday. They were 4-for-4 in killing penalties. Nikita Kucherov added a goal and two assists for Tampa Bay. Through two games, Keefe felt that not much separated his team from Tampa Bay, and being sharper and more disciplined would be a major key going forward. Vasilevskiy made 31 saves and his best was with a flash of his glove on Timothy Liljegren at 1:26 of the second period. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0, Liljegren wired a shot to the top corner, but Vasilevskiy plucked the puck from the air. Less than a minute later, at 2:21, Hedman's stretch pass sprung Corey Perry for a breakaway goal, a key moment for the turnaround. How I Lost 7kg in 8 Weeks (Without Counting Calories)

Started this cut at 97kg or so in late February. Finished late April at 90.3kg. Kept all my upper body strength, lower body compounds suffered a bit due to the QL injury I've been dealing with, but lower body isolations still up. Didn't count calories or macros. Feel pretty minimal diet fatigue. Got as lean as I wanted, now back to a lean bulk. Viva la gainz. #NHL #CSP #LEAFSNATION #GMAE1 #2022PLAYOFFS The Tampa Bay Lightning begin the quest for their third straight Stanley Cup when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night to open a first-round Eastern Conference playoff series. The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, will be trying to win a first-round series for the first time since 2004. They have not won the Stanley Cup since 1967. Last year, Toronto lost a seventh game at home to the Montreal Canadiens after building a 3-1 lead in the series. This is the first time the Lightning have faced the Maple Leafs in the playoffs. They were 2-1-1 against Toronto in the regular season. The Maple Leafs have the home-ice advantage in the best-of-seven series, with Game 2 in Toronto on Wednesday. The Lightning defeated the Maple Leafs 8-1 on April 21 in Tampa, but Toronto was without top scorer Auston Matthews and No. 1 goaltender Jack Campbell. Matthews had a hat trick in Toronto's 6-2 win over the Lightning on April 4 in Tampa. On Tuesday, Matthews became the first NHL player to reach 60 goals in a season since Stamkos did it for the Lightning in 2011-12. Matthews finished the season with 106 points and linemate Mitchell Marner had 97 points. Stamkos finished the regular season with a franchise-record 10th career hat trick Friday against the New York Islanders. He finished the season with 42 goals and 106 points. Stamkos had 26 points over his final nine games. His 33 points in April were the most by a Lightning player in a calendar month and the most by any NHL player since Mario Lemieux had 34 in December 1995. Goaltending will be a key to the series. Andrei Vasilevskiy has been a mainstay for the Lightning in their Cup runs. Campbell's NHL playoff experience is limited to the seven games in last season's loss to the Canadiens. #CSP #NHL #Kraken The expansion Kraken return home after a 1-3-1 trip that culminated with a 4-3 shootout victory Saturday in Montreal. Philipp Grubauer made 30 saves and then stopped all seven Canadiens attempts in the shootout. The Canadiens' tying goal, with 2:12 remaining in regulation, came on a seemingly benign pass from the point that deflected off the skate of Seattle defenseman Adam Larsson. The Lightning beat the Kraken 3-0 in their previous meeting Nov. 26 in the Lightning's home arena. The road has been a bit bumpy for the Tampa Bay Lightning recently, and they undoubtel won't be disappointed when their six-game trip concludes Wednesday night in Seattle. The two-time defending Stanley Cup champions suffered their third consecutive defeat Saturday, 4-1 at Edmonton. They were on the bus to the airport following that game when they learned their flight to Vancouver for Sunday's contest had been canceled due to mechanical issues. The Lightning stayed an extra night in Edmonton, lost an hour of sleep because of Daylight Saving Time and didn't get checked in at their Vancouver hotel until about 3 p.m. Sunday -- four hours before the puck was to drop against the Canucks. The Lightning overcame those obstacles, scored twice in the opening six minutes and held on to win 2-1 as Vasilevskiy made 35 saves. Victor Hedman and Ross Colton scored for the Lightning, who are chasing Florida in the NHL's Atlantic Division.
