Oxford United 1-1 Hull City | Review | TOUGH GAME BUT A GOOD POINT
After the horror show ending last week and the somewhat disappointing result against Ipswich Oxford welcomed League Leader Hull City to the Kassam Stadium with OUFC looking for a Christmas Miracle. Fans being back in the stands made this game seem like a proper game of football and both sides put in a good display but neither side could win. It finished Oxford United 1 -1 Hull City. Oxford took the lead early with James Henry and really tried to pressure Hull buoyed on by the 1000 yellows fans in the stadium. Hull are top for a reason, and showed their class and found and equaliser in the 2nd half. I really tough game but a hard-fought point which I think (with my yellow glasses on) that Oxford deserved. Football feels like it is slowly coming back now. Oxford United 1-2 Swindon Town | Review | SHOCKING END!! DERBY STREAK OVER
A shocking end is putting it mildly as Swindon ended the hoodoo and the derby streak is over. Its finished Oxford United 1-2 Swindon Town. After a great first half by the yellows they led through Matty Taylors goal and the only thing missing was that 2nd goal, and oh boy did they need it was a woeful 2nd half performance saw Swindon come back to pinch it late. Utd got worse as the 2nd half went on and invited the pressure on themselves, but the goals were avoidable and came down to a lack of concentration and pressure. The winning goal is laughably bad and one which opens up the Eastwood debate again. Swindon get the bragging rights, so well done to them. Oxford......... need a reaction as this is the sort of performance which makes the fans lose faith. Oxford United bowed out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle today. They lost to Peterborough for the 2nd time this season. It Finished. Oxford United 1-2 Peterborough United. It was a tight game that could have gone either way, but as usual Oxford came out on the wrong side of it. Both sides were much changed and Ian is left scratching his head at what Robinson has done to Dan Agyei. Not too upset to be out as it clears some space in the fixture list. Another game and another defeat for Oxford United as the poor form continues. The score finished Fleetwood Town 2-0 Oxford United. Oxford conceded after only 45 seconds and it was all downhill from there. A missed penalty from James Henry made it worse. Can't keep clean sheets, can't score, where the hell do we go from here. The next game seems massive. Oxford look like they are getting worse and quite frankly look easy to play against. This was painful. February is going to be a long tough month for the yellows. Has to be said this was a pretty pathetic display today. it ended Peterborough United 4-0 Oxford United. The Posh are in amazing form, and once they took the lead they never looked back. Oxford have been competitive in most games this season, but were nowhere near Peterborough's level today.
