HIGHLIGHTS | Arsenal v Everton (2-0) | Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka | Charm City Match

Gabriel Jesus continued his goalscoring start to life at Arsenal, netting the first in a comfortable 2-0 win over Everton in Baltimore. The Brazilian fired home at the far post from a corner, before setting up Saka for the second. Playing at the home of NFL side the Baltimore Ravens, our supporters far outnumbered their Everton counterparts, and created a fantastic atmosphere in the 70,000 capacity stadium. After a fairly quiet opening 10 minutes we gradually upped the tempo, and Jesus forced a good low save from Jordan Pickford before Granit Xhaka glanced a header against the post from a corner. At the other end Matt Turner had his palms stung by a Niels Nkounkou strike at the near post – to chants of “USA, USA” from the crowd. Just after the hour mark we took the lead, and it was that man Jesus again. Fresh from his brace against Nurnberg last weekend, the Brazilian made no mistake when an inswinging Cedric cross looped over Pickford and fell to him at the far post. He took a touch, steadied himself then fired home right-footed. Moments later Jesus created the second for Bukayo Saka. His clipped pass forward was intended for Gabriel Martinelli, but fell all the way for Saka to tuck home at the far post. Two goals in the space of three minutes had put us well in control at the half-time break. Mikel Arteta made half a dozen subs at half-time, with the boss switching to three at the back. We continued to dictate the play, but without adding to the scoreline. All in all though it was another excellent workout, as we made it three wins out of three so far in pre-season. #arsenal #gabrieljesus Enjoy match highlights, training and behind the scenes to get closer to the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Vivianne Miedema, Nicolas Pepe, Leah Williamson, Bernd Leno, Nikita Parris, Mana Iwabuchi, Jordan Nobbs, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kim Little, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale, Beth Mead, Ben White, Thomas Partey and more. Napoli Vs Verona: Draw, Partenopei points at the top of the standings equaled by Milan

Run of the Game: Napoli appeared attacking at the start of the match. Luciano Spalletti's team was very aggressive, but in the first 10 minutes it was difficult to get a shot. Verona even surprised the hosts first through Giovanni Simeone's goal in the 13th minute. The goal came from Antonin Barak's penetration from the right side, who then stabbed into the penalty box to release a pull bait to Simeone. Verona's advantage only lasted five minutes. Fabian Ruiz got the ball from a free-kick, which then passed to Giovanni Di Lorenzo for a goal. The score changed to 1-1. Napoli and Verona played very openly. Buying and selling attacks is inevitable during the first half. Napoli almost turned ahead in the 42nd minute. Victor Osimhen's shot from inside the penalty box hit the post, which made the score 1-1 until halftime. The Partenopei tried everything in the second half to look for the lead. Verona defended very well, which made it difficult for Napoli to get into the penalty box. Attack after attack continued to be launched by both teams. Verona got a golden opportunity through Antonin Barak, but his shot from close range was countered by David Ospina. Verona had to play with 10 men in the 88th minute after Daniel Bessa was given a second yellow card for violating Eljif Elmas. Bessa even though just entered as a substitute in the 75th minute. Dries Mertens almost broke into Verona's goal in injury time. His effort through a free shot still hit the post. Verona were down to nine men in injury time after Nikola Kalinic was shown a second yellow card for elbowing an opposing player. Kalinic was actually a substitute who had only entered in the 84th minute. Luckily for Verona, there were no additional goals during the outnumber of players. Napoli vs Verona finished 1-1. Lineup: Naples: Ospina; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui; Anguissa, Fabian Ruiz, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Insigne Verona: Montip; Dawidowicz, Gunter, Ceccherini; Faraoni, Tameze, Veloso, Casale; Barracks, Caprari; Simeone

So 24 years later, no home games missed, this ironman was going strong and looking forward to celebrating The Big 25. “And then came COVID. “I had started to count down to my 25th anniversary season, a goal I’d set. I would crest an anniversary jersey with my Section E. My name would forever be etched in Commonwealth Stadium on that special giant bronze display they created to honour long-time season ticket holders. I would celebrate with my entire football family. And in one swoop the entire football season was gone.” Nobody writes about fans. But is there anybody in sports that hasn’t missed them, especially in Edmonton where we became the world capital of hub city bubble hockey with 81 Stanley Cup playoff games, the entire IIHF world junior and an entire Edmonton Oilers season schedule without fans? Whether you were a player, coach or even a media member in the press box we missed them more than most of us would ever have expected or imagined. And they missed each other. “Since then I have had good days and bad days. I tried to stay hopeful that one day I would sit in my seat again, see my football family and watch ‘my boys,’ ” said Miller. “I so missed doing my pregame ritual and seeing my friends down the road at the legion before the game, watching the players come running out and feeling the excitement, singing the Canadian anthem loud and proud, ringing my bell for the defence and jumping up and down for all those touchdowns. “During COVID everything changed. I decided that once the CFL announced it was returning that I wouldn’t allow myself to get excited until I was sitting in MY seat. “I knew the tears would come as soon as I hung up the flag this morning and boy did they ever. I think it was a release of everything lost and everything that is about to be gained.” The other opening week CFL games, Thursday before 29,376 in Winnipeg, Friday before 33,350 in Regina and in the first game of the doubleheader Saturday in Calgary that drew 23,921 involved fans experiencing all those same emotions. But Saturday night in Edmonton, while all of that was in play with the CFL’s long-time flagship franchise, it was also dealing with cheering for a team that was no longer named the Edmonton Eskimos. It was instead the inaugural game of the Edmonton Elks. The team lost more than few long-time fans because of it, to be sure. But they didn’t lose Miller, who actually holds eight season tickets she uses to invite friends to join her at games. “It was truly heartbreaking for me because I associated it with the good football memories tied to it. I’ve listened. I’ve accepted that it is painful for some others. “My true love is this football team. I have embraced the new name. I feel excited and exhilarated to move forward in this next chapter, ready to leave a new footprint behind.” Last night she drove to the game with “ELKS” license plates. The freshly rebranded franchise had 35,000 ‘Antler Up’ new logo t-shirts created for the occasion and with empty seats outnumbering occupied seats at kickoff, obviously didn’t need them all. Chantelle couldn’t see the special logo the Elks wore on the back of their helmets from Sec. E. But they showed it on the scoreboard as the team said goodbye to the legendary locker room attendant Joey Moss, by having him sing the national anthem again via their video vault. The helmet decal: JOEY 1963-2020. Once. Always. The new logo on the field wasn’t the same giant-sized version that was out there for the launch but it was visible. “It was very emotional seeing everyone. Lots of hugs. Tears. I am so happy to be home,” said Miller after kickoff. They’re not the ever-lovin’ Esks anymore but they’re still Edmonton.

Please Guys Subscribe to this channel it Helps me Reach 1k, It Would Mean the world to me 🙏🏻 This time we won't stop Posting. Let's Goo Football Lovers https://youtube.com/channel/UCDOdXiT4ACKE2D8g9SNTYPQ Germany have edged their way into the Euro 2020 knockout stages after managing a late 2-2 draw to Hungary at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, setting up a last 16 tie against England. The 2016 World Cup champions finished second in Group F after a dramatic evening of action that saw France draw 2-2 to Portugal. France, who finished top of Group F with five points, face Switzerland in the next round, while Portugal face Belgium after finishing third. Hungary looked to cause an upset when they opened the scoring on 10 minutes with an impressive diving header from the captain Adam Szalai, who had connected with Roland Sallai's superb whipped cross behind the German back line. Germany's Kai Havertz looked to have bought his side a lifeline on 66 minutes when he scored his second goal of the tournament. The Chelsea midfielder headed the ball home into an empty net after a goalkeeping error from Hungary's Peter Gulacsi. But Hungary struck back moments later as midfielder Andras Schafer nodded the ball past as an on-rushing Manuel Neuer. Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka levelled the match once more on 85 minutes to secure his side's place to the round of 16. The build-up to the match was dominated by UEFA's decision to reject a request from Munich city council to light the Allianz Arena in rainbow colours. Rainbow flags outnumbered German flags when fans arrived to the match. Supporters were met at the exit of a local subway station by a host of volunteers from groups including Amnesty International, CSD Germany and S'AG Munich distributing rainbow flags. Germany captain Neuer also showed support for the LGBT community by wearing a rainbow armband, as he did in his side's previous match against France. UEFA said the rainbow symbol was not the reason rejecting the request to light up the stadium but Hungary's presence at the game.
