Hello and a warm welcome to our coverage of the fifth and final day's play of the first Test match of this 3-match Test series featuring the hosts Pakistan against the visitors England from the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. That will be Stumps on Day 4. Another intriguing day comes to an end. At the end of the day all three results are possible. England may have their noses in front but Pakistan are not out of it by any means. It was an action-packed Day 4 to say the least. Pakistan resumed today with a deficit of 158 with 3 wickets in hand. Salman Agha scored a valuable 53 off 67 balls to take Pakistan closer to England's first innings. Naseem Shah contributed with 15 off 21 balls. Zahid Mahmood did well as he hung around for 48 balls to score 17 runs. Haris Rauf scored 12 off 32 balls as Pakistan ended at 579 in 155.3 overs with the help of 18 extras given by the English bowlers. A couple of wickets apiece for Naseem Shah Mohammad Ali and Zahid Mahmood. Mahmood went for a lot of runs today. Agha Salman picked up the other wicket despite being very expensive. All the bowlers were taken to the cleaners. Chasing a target of 343 to take a 1-0 lead Pakistan lost Abdullah Shafique for 6. Azhar Ali faced just 2 balls before retiring hurt as he was hit on the gloves and hurt his finger badly. The big wicket of Babar Azam was scalped by his opposite number Ben Stokes for 4. Pakistan was 25/2 at one stage. Since then the duo of Imam ul Haq and Saud Shakeel has added 55 runs for the third wicket and has taken their side close. Imam is batting on 43* off 60 balls while Shakeel is batting on 24* off 42 balls as Pakistan ended Day 4 at 80/2 after 20 overs needing a further 263 runs more to win the contest. A wicket apiece for Ollie Robinson and Ben Stokes. A lot of hard work awaits the English bowlers when action resumes on the fifth and final day tomorrow. So the equation is simple. Pakistan needs 263 more runs to win while England will require a further 8 wickets to win the contest. Azhar Ali is retired hurt and we don't know whether he will be able to bat tomorrow. A fascinating Day 5 awaits us. We have had four absorbing days of Test match cricket in Rawalpindi where the bat has dominated the ball on a lifeless track. But thanks to England's aggressive brand of cricket and declaration they have pushed the game forward and made sure that all results are possible coming into the final day's play. When we started off we felt like we maybe staring at a dull draw. But that won't be the case today as this game can go either way. It was an action-packed Day 4 to say the least. Pakistan resumed Day 4 at 499/7 and added 80 runs for the last three wickets to finish with 579 in 155.3 overs. They got there thanks to Salman Agha who notched up a very important half-century to score 53 off 67 balls. He was ably supported by Zahid Mahmood who hung around for 48 balls for 17 runs. Haris Rauf battling an injury hung around for 32 balls for his 12 runs. 18 extras contributed to the total as Pakistan handed 78-run first innings lead to England. The debutant Will Jacks was the pick of the bowlers for England as he sent down 40.3 overs and picked up 6 wickets for 161 runs. He was ably supported by Jack Leach as he sent down 49 overs and picked up a couple of wickets for 190 runs. A wicket apiece for the pace bowlers James Anderson and Ollie Robinson. India vs Bangladesh 1st ODI Live This Match Will be Played at Shere Bangla National Stadium Dhaka on 4th December 2022 This Match Will Start at 11.30am From Indian Standard time. This will be the first bilateral ODI series between the two teams after 2015. Injury has struck both teams on the eve of the series. While Bangladesh will miss Tamim Iqbal and Taskin Ahmed India will be devoid of Mohammed Shami who has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury. However both these teams are blessed with incredible bench strength which is why we expect a cracking series to be on the cards. Bangladesh have been ordinary in white-ball cricket of late. Despite being a good team the Tigers were handed a two-one drubbing by Zimbabwe in their last ODI series. Furthermore they blew hot and cold in the T20 World Cup failing to qualify for the knockouts. So moving on to this series they will aim at a resurgence capitalising on the home advantage under the leadership of Litton Das. On the other hand India will treat this series as a dress rehearsal for the ODI World Cup scheduled next year. They are yet to find their best possible combination. With Shami ruled out this series will be a golden opportunity for Kuldeep Sen and Umran Malik to make a strong case for their inclusion in India's first-choice ODI XI. At the same time the focus will be on India's decorated top three comprising Rohit Sharma Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli who will play together in an ODI series after more than five months. Considering the squads of both teams we reckon India will start as the firm favourites to win this match. However Bangladesh have surprised the Men in Blue in the past and it won't be an upset if they emerge victorious in this game. What to expect: There is a high possibility that the series is likely to witness high-scoring games with the wickets expected to favour the batters. Clear skies with a high of 30 degree Celsius is forecast for the match day. Bangladesh Team News: Litton Das has been handed the responsibility of leadership after Tamim was ruled out of the series due to a groin injury. With Taskin also not available for the first ODI due to a back issue Ebadot Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman will have to handle the bulk of the responsibilities in the pace department. India Team News: With Mohammed Shami ruled out of the series due to a shoulder injury Umran Malik has been roped into the squad but he may not get a game straightaway with India likely to go in Siraj Thakur and Chahar in their pace department. Axar Patel was hit near his chest while batting in the nets on Saturday and was being monitored by the medical team. But he is likely to be available for selection. Pitch Report: The average first innings score in the last five ODI matches at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka is 212 runs and the team batting first have won three matches. Spinners are likely to dominate in this game. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Live This Match Will be Played at Seddon Park Hamilton on 27th November 2022 This Match Will Start at 7.00am From Indian Standard time. The game holds paramount importance for India as they must win it to stay alive in the series. It didn't take long for New Zealand to bounce back from the T20I series defeat as they demolished the visitors by seven wickets in the first ODI. Barring Adam Milne the Kiwi bowlers fared well in Auckland a venue that usually sees truckloads of runs being scored on its flat deck. Although Tim Southee was expensive towards the backend he scalped three wickets to derail the Indian innings. Latham and Kane Williamson stitched a partnership for ages helping their team chase 307 without breaking a sweat. New Zealand have been unbeaten in their last eight ODIs in Hamilton. It's a venue that suits their traditional style of play which is why we expect the Kiwis to emerge triumphant in this encounter. Toss will be the key and India can end their four-match losing streak at this venue if they chase. Having seemingly moved on from Trent Boult and Martin Guptill the hosts seem to have built a solid foundation as they build towards the 2023 World Cup. Michael Bracewell isn't a guaranteed starter despite his stellar recent form and even injury to James Neesham couldn't prevent them from India in the series-opener in Auckland. Their quartet of fast bowlers offer both pace and movement while Neesham Bracewell and Mitchell Santner complete a trio of allrounders. Batting depth might be New Zealand's one major concern given that they can't accommodate all their allrounders and that Tim Southee's returns with the bat have faded of late. India meanwhile are still in search of a sixth bowling option. None of the top six batters who played in Auckland bowl and with no Hardik Pandya Ravindra Jadeja or Axar Patel in their squad for this series. They could look to address the sixth-bowler issue by bringing Deepak Hooda into their line-up but that would leave them with the dilemma of who to leave out. They have the luxury of experimenting however since they have qualified as hosts of next year's World Cup. But they still have a series to win which would need them first and foremost to win on Sunday and end a five-match losing streak against New Zealand. New Zealand Team news: were forced to leave Neesham out in Auckland due to a niggle. If he returns they might have a difficult choice to make. While they will welcome the extra batting depth he offers if he replaces one of the four specialist quicks they might need him to bowl his full ten-over quota with Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips having been used very sparingly of late. India Team news: There is a chance India might bring in Hooda as a sixth bowling option but this could force them to leave out Suryakumar Yadav who hasn't yet replicated his T20I success in ODIs. He was the only member of India's top seven to be dismissed for a single-digit score in Auckland and his last seven ODI innings have brought him a highest score of just 27. India's three fast bowlers were all expensive in Auckland so there is a chance that Deepak Chahar could replace one of them. Pitch and conditions Seddon Park in Hamilton has hosted only three ODIs since 2020 with two of them producing first-innings scores in excess of 330. India scored 347 in one of them only for New Zealand to hunt it down comfortably thanks to a Ross Taylor century. Expect another high-scoring game come Sunday. There remains a good chance of rain interrupting play however with showers forecast throughout the afternoon and evening. The good news first up is that there's no rain at the moment but the conditions remain quite murky as the players engage in a warm-up session on the sidelines. New Zealand are on a red-hot winning form in ODIs at home and they would like one more tonight to nip out a series win against a side they haven't lost against since the 2019 World Cup. Seddon Park is usually a high-scoring venue and India will be well aware of that fact before devising their bowling plans and more importantly of the Latham-sized threat. Pitch report: "Looks like a very hard deck can sense 300 again. Maybe a little bit of moisture early because the covers have just come off. It's a good wicket and unlike start-stop nature of this surface there's enough covering of grass which means it could come on nicely onto the bat" reckon Ajay Jadeja alongside Ashish Nehra. What to expect: A rain dampener. A 90% chance of rain - beginning with a heavy shower forecast for the morning - could see a delayed start and maybe even a curtailed game if at all. New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to field Kane Williamson: We are gonna have a bowl. Surface has been under covers a little so hopefully our seamers can extract whatever little help they can get. We are playing the extra slow option today in Michael Bracewell in place of Adam Milne. He (Southee) is racking up the numbers in all formats and breaking a few records along the way great achievement and a very special player for us. India batted well and got a competitive total on that surface but I certainly liked the intent from the bowling attack so hopefully we can start strong again and build on from the last performance. Shikhar Dhawan: We would have bowled first as there's moisture in the wicket. Even in the last game the wicket was seaming for the first 10-15 overs we got to keep the positive intent and go for the runs. We got 2 changes. Instead of Shardul Thakur Deepak Chahar comes in and Deepak Hooda comes in place of Sanju Samson. We only need 10 percent of improvement and it makes a huge impact and especially in the death bowling we got to be a bit more smarter. A heavy rain threat looms over New Zealand's shot at acquiring pole position in Super League standings and India's chances of levelling the ODI series as the teams prepare for Game 2 of the three-match rubber in Hamilton on Sunday (November 27). Records tumbled in Auckland as Tom Latham and Kane Williamson put on a batting masterclass that enabled the hosts to successfully chase down a 300 plus target only for the second time against India for an early lead in the ODI series. The 7-wicket win already saw them climb two places in the Super League table and with a quick turnaround time between the two games New Zealand would have hoped to surpass Australia (120) England (125) and even India (129 but already qualified by virtue of being hosts) to secure an easy passage to the 2023 World Cup. The inclement weather forecast however may see all of that postponed until Christchurch. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. India vs New Zealand 3rd T20 Live Scores This Match Will be Played at McLean Park Napier on 22nd November 2022 This Match Will Start at 12.00pm From Indian Standard time. The good news however is that it's not raining currently in Napier and live pictures show the players going about their warmups. When it comes to bilateral T20Is it's fair to say that no one comes close to India. This is one team that has consistently performed well both home and away and are a win away from securing yet another series win. Since the loss at home to Australia in February 2019 the team in blue have lost just one bilateral T20I series a Covid-19 stricken Indian team losing to Sri Lanka in 2021. This white-ball dominance hasn't extended to multi-nation tournaments as the results themselves signify. Let now dive into tonight's game at Napier - Hardik Pandya's new set of T20I stars go into the game with a 1-0 lead and India can't lose this series now a creditable achievement considering they're up against a strong New Zealand outfit barring Trent Boult. The hosts will also be without Kane Williamson who misses out due to a 'pre-arranged medical appointment'. He has been replaced by Mark Chapman who should slot in straightaway with Tim Southee taking over the captaincy duties. McLean Park is baked in sunshine at the moment. There are some dark clouds hovering in the background but the groundstaff have started to peel off the square covers Pitch Report | Anjum Chopra and Ajay Jadeja - The pitch has been under covers for the last couple of hours. It looks like a belter it's hard and not a lot of moisture. Side boundaries are really small. There is an even covering of grass so the bounce could be spongy and that'll help the spinners to grip. The captain winning the toss will want to chase. Ground Dimensions - the square boundaries are short at 57m and 60m. Longer straight boundaries at 80m and 77m at either end large pockets as well Toss Update: New Zealand have won the toss and have opted to bat Tim Southee - We will bat. Looks like a pitch where we can put the runs on the board. We can't really control the weather but the history of this ground suggests good batting conditions. Our bowling the other night wasn't the best but credit to SKY. Mark Chapman comes in straightaway. You look back at places where we can improve as a team. Hardik Pandya - We wanted to bowl first anyway so we got what we wanted. I think the pitch will remain the same for the entire 40 overs but with the grass on it there could be some lateral movement for our pacers. We do keep the dimensions in mind but we do have the skill-set in our bowling line-up. We can't think too much about the conditions - One change Harshal comes in place of Washington Sundar Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. India vs New Zealand 2nd T20 Live This Match Will be Played at Bay Oval Mount Maunganui on 20th November 2022 This Match Will Start at 12.00pm From Indian Standard time. The first T20 saw rain play the spoilsport and it seems that it is still chasing the Blue and Black Caps. The good news is it has paused for some time and we can expect some play. After a rain-consumed first T20I both New Zealand and India move on in the three-match series as they get ready to play the second game at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The enthralling encounter will come live beginning at 12:00 PM IST on Sunday! An overview of New Zealand: As always host comes first. Talking about New Zealand they have been playing a great bit of cricket in the recent past. The Kane Williamson-led side reaches the knockouts of the ICC tournaments almost every time but cannot get through the semi-final or the final hurdle to lift the silverware. Some call it choking while some describe it as the disability to hold the pressure in crunch situations. Though opinions change luck doesn't. As we know the Blackcaps are without Martin Guptill and Trent Boult in the series and have most of the players who witnessed the semi-final exit against Pakistan. With the series being reduced to only 2 T20Is after the first match was called off due to persistent rain in Wellington New Zealand would be itching to get out there and take the lead in the series to put the opposition on the back foot. New Zealand: The impressive Finn Allen should get another opportunity at the top of the order with Martin Guptill being left out of the squad. Barring Trent Boult's absence the team should resemble the setup that featured in the T20 World Cup. An overview of India: After the T20 World Cup semi-final humiliation India will officially take the field tomorrow with a completely different set-up. India has a very good opportunity to test the youngsters with a couple of senior stars in the mix. Hardik Pandya is high on confidence with his young guns as they sneak into the field at Bay Oval tomorrow with the dream of making it 1-0. After the washout at the Sky Stadium on Friday now it is important for the tourists to get some game time. In the prematch interview Shubman Gill spoke about his potential T20I debut and given that he should be opening the batting for the Men in Blue. Rest there is a debate on who is his opening partner and the most likely candidate is Rishabh Pant. India Team News: Rishabh Pant should get to play with Dinesh Karthik not picked for this series. But it remains to be seen if he bats at the top of the order. Yuzvendra Chahal who went without a game in the T20 World Cup should get in too in the absence of R Ashwin. New Zealand vs India 2nd T20I So who is taking an early lead in the series? Will it be the hosts or will it be the visitors? Only time will tell. What to expect: Thunderstorms are forecast on the match day and could lead to a curtailed game or even a complete washout. Teams batting first have won all T20Is at this venue. Pitch Report: The fact that the average run rate at the venue is 9.18 pretty much sums up the nature of its surface. So we expect a high-scoring encounter tomorrow. However as rain is predicted the toss-winner will likely opt to field first. Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. This time the white-ball series consists of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The first of the 3 T20Is begins at the Sky Stadium in Wellington as both teams eye for an early series lead. An overview on the visitors: The Men in Blue have sent a completely different squad with a nice mixture of youngsters and experienced players to this New Zealand T20I series. Hardik Pandya will lead the side with Rishabh Pant doing the duties of his deputy. They have also inserted Shreyas Iyer back in the T20I setup with Shubman Gill getting a T20I call-up as well. While a few players continue their T20I journey from the World Cup a few other players get back to play the short format series back after their bilateral series against South Africa back at home a month earlier. India are coming off after having a horror show in the semi-finals against England as the tournament favourites bowed out in another ICC knockout match. Now the eyes are set on future tournaments with this being a perfect opportunity for the new stars to rise in the absence of some senior players. So the Hardik Pandya-led side is expected to go with a line-up that has balance in all aspects of the game. An overview on the hosts: New Zealand are no different from India if you talk about the World Cup performance. While both of them topped the group stages they also had a horrible turnout in the semifinals. Kane Williamson is leading the side as usual with many of the familiar names in the squads as they had in the showpiece event. They have moved on from Martin Guptill at least for this series alongside giving rest to their swing king Trent Boult. The management has also brought the pacer Blair Tickner into the side and he should be in the playing XI straightaway. Just before the World Cup New Zealand featured in a T20I tri-series consisting of Bangladesh and Pakistan and for their bad Pakistan took the trophy with them. Now they have another home assignment to clear off and this is a big challenge as they have India infront of them. With a lot at stake both teams will be itching to get their feet on the ground. While Hardik Pandya would love to continue the Indian dominance in the Island Nation yet again Kane Williamson and co will be keen on having a better home summer. What to expect: The intervention of rain. Showers are expected in Wellington in the evening leading to the possibility of a delayed start at the very least. The first one officiates at Adelaide Oval🏟 where India lost to England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022. The Chop and Changes (England🏴): The ODI Champions have quite a tinkered setup post the T20 World Cup. Ben Stokes is not a part of the 50-over-format as he retired back in July 2022. Jonny Bairstow continues to miss matches and Jason Roy has been summoned after a breather during the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2022. James Vince Sam Billings and Olly Stone are a part of the side with Luke Wood chipped in as well. Wood had a good outing against Pakistan in the 7-match T20 series. Jos Buttler as usual will be leading the side with quite a few renowned faces that include the likes of Moeen Ali Adil Rashid Chris Woakes Dawid Malan Sam Curran and Chris Jordan. The Chop and Changes (Australia🇦🇺): Australia have more or less familiar faces who used to be a part of their ODI side barring a wee. Aaron Finch is not a part of the side and the board has spotted Pat Cummins as the better successor. Glenn Maxwell is going to miss the series due to a freak accident at his friend's place. Sean Abbott has been named a replacement for the flamboyant all-rounder. Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green are to cover up the lower middle order spot whereas Travis Head has earned a call-up and will be opening alongside David Warner thereby filling the shoes of Aaron Finch the batter. The ever-entertaining duo of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne is expected to be the wall of the batting line-up at no.3 and 4 respectively as it used to be. The spin department is led by Adam Zampa and the pace-battery-trio remains a constant for Australia across formats. THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND🧠: 📣 The tournament is not a part of the ODI Super League. 📣 The series kickstarts the preparation for the 2023 ODI WORLD CUP which is 12 months away. 📣 With a lot of gloominess in the air governing the 50-over set-up the series devoids excitement. 📣 A full crowd at the Adelaide Oval is something we might not get to witness despite a rivalry show up on the cards. Remember the high-stake Afghanistan versus Australia clash in the T20 World Cup saw an affinity of only 18000 folks. 📣 The last ODI series that both sides played was in 2020 where Australia edged 2-1 in England. 📣 The last time 'The Kangaroos' and 'Three Lions' squared up in Australia was in 2017 when England gushed a 4-1 series win after a disheartening Ashes. What to expect: There's rain forecast in Adelaide for the upcoming weekend but Thursday is expected to be a perfectly sunny day for some ODI cricket.
