Bridgend's home form has truly taken a huge swing in the right direction with their forth consecutive win at the Brewery Field. The Ravens managed to pass 3 tries and a penalty kick over a hapless Swansea side who failed to put a single point on the board!

Ayr United 1-6 Rangers: Blues cruise into last eight despite scare Published: 13:31 EST, 11 February 2018 | Updated: 13:31 EST, 11 February 2018 One of the enduring attractions of football is the boundless chances for redemption it always seems to offer. Alfredo Morelos should be thankful that occasionally they arrive at the most opportune moments. Doubtless, the Colombian striker has never heard of Peter van Vossen but, with half an hour of this cup tie having expired, he produced a miss worthy of the hapless Dutchman all those years ago. At that point trailing by Alan Forrest’s opportune goal, you wondered if Morelos would be left to regret it for the rest of his days. Within 60 seconds, we had our answer. Alfredo Morelos missed an open goal from two yards when Rangers were trailing Ayr 1-0 However the striker scored 60 seconds later as Rangers came from behind to win 1-6 Morelos spared his own blushes and later scored another as Rangers made the last eightSmashing a rebound beyond Ayr keeper Jack Ruddy, the striker spared his own blushes and consig... --------------------- DONT FORGET SUBSCRIBE FOR ME : https://goo.gl/r8kgfa

David Silva inspires Spain to 5-0 thrashing over Costa Rica in friendly
David Silva inspires Spain to 5-0 thrashing over Costa Rica in friendly

David Silva scored two and set up another as he inspired Spain’s 5-0 hammering of a defensively woeful Costa Rica side in Saturday’s friendly clash at La Rosaleda.Julen Lopetegui’s men played with immense freedom throughout, as they stroked the ball around in style and took full advantage of Costa Rica’s poor defensive organisation, as the away side made errors for each of Spain’s first four goals.Costa Rica actually showed flashes of promise early on, but that quickly vanished as Spain took control, with Jordi Alba’s Silva-influenced opening goal after just six minutes ushering in a period of real dominance.READ | Republic of Ireland hold Denmark 0-0 in first leg of FIFA World Cup play-off The lively Alvaro Morata added a second in the 23rd minute and probably should have scored at least hat-trick before his half-time withdrawal. But Spain’s attacking unit hardly suffered for Morata’s substitution, as Silva added two goals in four minutes shortly after the restart, making the most of hapless goalkeeping and calamitous defending.Andres Iniesta added a fifth towards the end to wrap things up, with Costa Rica left realising that they have much to improve upon if they are to emulate their 2014 World Cup showing next year, while Spain already look ready to prove a point in Russia. Both sides looked purposeful in attack during the early exchanges, but defensively Costa Rica left a lot to be desired and Spain took the lead just six minutes in.Silva’s low cross into the penalty area was not dealt with by Costa Rica and Alba was there to meet it, sending a fierce first-time effort into the right side of the net.READ | Sergio Aguero gives Argentina win over Russia at FIFA World Cup final stadium Morata then went close twice in as many minutes shortly after, testing goalkeeper Danny Carvajal from a tight angle on both occasions.Carvajal gifted Morata a goal a little later, though.Silva and Iniesta combined down the left with a clever one-two and the Manchester City man eventually played the ball into the area along the ground, with Carvajal inexplicably palming it right into the path of Morata, who had an easy finish.Morata should have had another just before the break, but he shot straight at Carvajal when played through by Isco’s exquisite defence-splitting pass.Spain were arguably even more relentless in attack upon the start of the second half and they extended their lead early on, with Silva sweeping home from close range after Francisco Calvo’s attempted clearance smashed against Oscar Duarte and dropped kindly for the midfielder.Silva doubled his tally a few minutes later, robbing Bryan Oviedo with a brilliant tackle and then finding the bottom-left corner from 18 yards, despite Carvajal getting a hand to it.A flurry of substitutions for both sides soon impacted on the play, but Spain scored again once they re-discovered their rhythm.Costa Rica freely invited Iniesta to charge towards their penalty area and the Barcelona star sent a 25-yard drive in

KENYAN FOOTBALL FANS ON FUN MATCH
KENYAN FOOTBALL FANS ON FUN MATCH

The ugly face of football hooliganism reared its head yet again last night as irate Gor Mahia fans went on rampage, occasioning the abandonment of their Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Top 8 match. The enraged supporters were simmering when referee Sylvester Musonye's decided to chalk off what would have been Gor's equaliser after the assistant flagged Moses Odhiambo's effort for offside. Substitute Ivan Anguyo was adjudged to be impeding on Ulinzi custodian Jackton Odhiambo in an offside position before Odhiambo sent the free-kick to the net. Minutes later, Musonye failed to spot a blatant handball in the Ulinzi box and awarded a corner instead and this was the catalyst of the uproar that set off the fans forcing the game to be called off with 23 minutes left. At that point, the KPL league runner-ups were trailing 1-0 to Ulinzi Stars when veteran Mike Baraza scored on the rebound in the first half in the return leg of the first Top 8 semi final at Nyayo National Stadium. The teams had drawn a blank in the first leg a fortnight ago in the knock-out competition where the winner will pocket Sh1m. The fuming fans went on a violent orgy, hurling missiles and holding both sets of players, security officers as well as hapless journalists hostage at the centre of the pitch. The rampage spilled outside the stadium with Ulinzi's team bus pelted with stones leaving no window intact as the irate mob made away with the personal effects left at the vehicle. It is said they attempted with fail to torch the bus. Several other cars were also vandalised and within time, Nairobi's Aerodrome Road, Uhuru Highway and Langata Road turned into a battle zone. Motorists and fans not involved in the fracas were forced to speed off from the scene in haste to seek refuge in nearby estates. A crew member of official broadcaster, SuperSport was also injured in the melee and taken to hospital while a number of those within the precincts of the stadium were struck by the flying missiles. Police resorted to firing into the air to quell the rioting supporters who were set off by Musonye's failure to spot a blatant handball in the Ulinzi box minutes after the disallowed goal.
