Red & Black Big Kites on Faisalabad Basant 2020 #Basant2020 The #Basant Kite Festival has been a historic spring time kite flying event during the #BasantPanchami festival in the #Punjab region in India and Pakistan. Yellow outfits are worn on Basant (Rakhi Vijan)) It falls on Basant, also called Basant #Panchami. According to the Punjabi calendar it is held on the fifth day of lunar month of Magha (in late January or early February) marking the start of spring. Kite fighting is a very popular pastime all around Pakistan, but mostly in urban centers across the country (especially Lahore). The kite fights are at their highest during the spring celebrations and the fighters enjoy competing with rivals to cut-loose the string of the others kite, this is popularly known as "#Pecha". During the #spring #festival, kite flying competitions are held across the country and the skies are colored with kites. As people cut-loose an opponents kite, shouts of 'Bo kata' ring through the air. They reclaim the kites, after they have been cut-loose, by running after them. MLB: fans leave stadium after shots heard during Padres-Nationals game
The game Major League Baseball game between the San Diego Padres and Washington was suspended in the sixth inning on Saturday night after a shooting outside Nationals Park. The gunshots caused panic among fans inside the stadium, some of whom ducked for cover, hiding underneath tables and behind seats as announcers warned people to stay inside the park. The shooting, an exchange of gunfire between people in two cars, left three people injured, according to the police. Shooting outside of Nationals Park stops Padres-Nationals in the middle of the game
A chaotic and surreal scene unfolded inside Nationals Park Saturday night during a Padres-Nationals game, as gunfire was heard. The game was stopped for the night in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Padres leading, 8-4. The score of the game is far less important than the scene right outside the ballpark, however. People on the scene described hearing multiple gun shots, which caused some panic in the crowd. Players from both bullpens could be seen hustling to the dugout to run down to the clubhouse.
