Senadores deja tendido (3-4) a Samanes y sigue invicto en la temporada
Caracas- Senadores de Caracas vivió este martes 21 de abril una jornada muy especial, ya que inauguraron la temporada 2026 en su estadio, el Parque de la Ciudad Universitaria y lograron extender su invicto. Esto después de vencer al actual campeón, los Samanes de Aragua, en entradas extras y con una pizarra de 4 carreras por 3. El pitcheo de ambas organizaciones fue el centro de atención de los fanáticos que se citaron a la UCV esta noche. De hecho, de las siete carreras que anotaron, solamente cuatro fueron limpias, ya que los corredores que pisan el plato por la regla panamericana no cuentan como limpias en el box score. Eduardo Díaz siguió conduciendo a los aragüeños y esta vez sonó un nuevo inatrapable para impulsa la tercera rayita en la parte alta del décimo inning, pero una vez más, Senadores de Caracas le arruinó la fiesta a los visitantes con un infield hit al campocorto para volver a poner las tablas en el marcador. Gabriel Rodríguez se puso la capa de héroe con un hit al cuadro que produjo la carrera de la diferencia y así darle la victoria a los Senadores de Caracas, en un encuentro que duró 3 horas y 51 minutos. La victoria se la adjudicó Mayckol Guaipe (1-0) y la derrota se le anotó a Johan Montero (0-1). Ahora, los capitalinos se adueñan de la tabla de posiciones con récord de 3-0 y Samanes de Aragua sigue sin saber lo que es ganar en este inicio de campaña y su marca es de 0-3. Para la jornada de este miércoles, el tres veces campeón de la Liga Mayor estará recibiendo la visita de Marineros de Carabobo a partir de las 6:00 pm y a la misma hora, los aragüeños estarán jugando ante los Delfines de La Guaira en el Forum de Macuto.
