What the hell happened in England Vs Poland? Walker & Glik Half-time bust-up; FIFA investigation
The Poland Football Association are adamant their players did not racially abuse England footballers after FIFA launched an investigation into the bust-up that marred Wednesday's World Cup qualifier. The England FA are refusing to publicly comment on the controversy as they conduct their own enquiries in search for total clarity on what happened at half-time in Warsaw. But their Polish counterparts have strenuously insisted that any assertions that their players made racially motivated comments or gestures to the England players are false. 'The English FA made a complaint at half-time to FIFA to investigate and review what happened at half-time,' confirmed Jakub Kwiatkowski, the Poland team manager to Sportsmail. 'But I am 100 percent sure the players were not racist, I am convinced of that. I know the players and they would not do that.' Both two teams clashed at the end of the first-half with footage showing Glik pinching Walker's throat. The flashpoint sparked a mass confrontation between both sides as they headed for the tunnel. Glik insisted it was only a 'verbal scuffle.' It is understood that at half-time two officials from the Football Association, team manager Emily Webb and head of security Tony Coniford, communicated to the fourth official the a complaint which was then lodged to the match commissioner. Witness statements were taken and it was decided the game should continue. Glik, who plays for Italian Serie B side Benevento, admitted trading insults with Walker and revealed that the Manchester City defender refused the offer of a handshake later on. Speaking to TVP Sport after the game, Glik said: 'There was some scuffle. Later, I wanted to shake Walker's hand but he didn't accept it. 'There was some verbal scuffle but nothing more happened there.' That came as Fifa began its own probe. A statement from FIFA said: 'FIFA is in the process of analysing the official match reports of the FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Poland and England. 'The relevant information will be assessed by the competent disciplinary bodies in order to decide on next steps.' Referee Daniel Siebert signalled for the interval after 45 minutes of feisty and full-blooded action in Warsaw, but both teams then suddenly met in the middle of the pitch in an altercation. Both Glik and Harry Maguire were shown yellow cards after the row, and footage quickly surfaced showing Glik bizarrely pinching Walker's neck at a free-kick, leading to the reaction from his Three Lions team-mates. The two players were seen getting involved in a heated exchange just after the start of the break, with both aiming gestures at each other and clearly irked. Broadcast cameras panned to the crowd initially, but quickly flashed back on to the pitch to show the brawl, with more and more stars piling in to intervene. Three Lions captain Harry Kane looked to pull away several of his colleagues, and the officials were eventually able to lower tensions and restore some control. Glik, despite his grab on Walker, was guided towards the tunnel first, before the referee ordered him back to show him the yellow card. After the booking was brandished to both men, Maguire was left to walk away, apparently bemused as to why he had also gone into the book. Racism row: Gareth Southgate praises 'maturity' of England players

Nice vs Marseille end in horrific brawl!
The Ligue 1 match between Nice and Marseille ended in a horrific brawl that resulted in the game being abandoned. Marseille decided to forfeit the match after the Nice fans attacked their players in quite brutal manner. Some of the Marseille players were left injured and bruised after the clashes with the opposition's fans. Football should be played and watched with fairplay and encourage unity and solidity. The incident has been escalated to the disciplinary committee of both the clubs and a meeting will be held subsequently to review the incident. UEFA to investigate alleged racism and homophobia incidents at Hungary games UEFA have appointed an inspector to investigate alleged abuse which took place during Hungary's matches against both France and Portugal. The game against France, which finished 1-1 with Attila Fiola and Antoine Griezmann getting the goals, took place in Budapest on Saturday afternoon, with Kylian Mbappe alleged to have been racially abused during the Euro 2020 fixture. As reported by De Telegraaf, during the 90 minutes some of the Hungarian fans in attendance aimed racist abuse at Mbappe. Monkey noises are said to have been heard around the stadium with Karim Benzema - who has Algerian roots - also subject to the vile treatment. In Hungary's previous Euro group match against Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo was subjected to homophobic abuse, with several images of homemade discriminatory banners circulated on social media. Meanwhile, one right-wing supporters group also organised a march against players taking the knee before kick off. UEFA have now released a statement which reads: "In accordance with Article 31(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations, an UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector has been appointed to conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding potential discriminatory incidents which occurred in the Puskás Aréna, Budapest, during the 2020 European Championship group stage matches between the national teams of Hungary and Portugal on 15 June 2021 and between the national teams of Hungary and France played on 19 June 2021. "Information on this matter will be made available in due course." Hungary is the only host nation in which full crowds are allowed thanks to the country's lax social distancing rules. However, in both of the games played in the capital city so far there has been crowd trouble. Hungary's performances on the pitch have been overshadowed by some of their fans' behaviour This is not the first time Hungary's fans have been accused of discriminatory behaviour. Back in 2015 the country's football federation was hit with a €70,000 (£60,000) for a similar incident during a game against Romania. Hungary's final group game of the tournament will be played in Munich on Wednesday. The city council hope to light up the Allianz Arena in the pride rainbow to show solidarity with the country's LGBTQI+ community.
