Fenerbahce looked in control for three quarters of a rugged and physical contest but Zalgiris roared back thanks to ironclad defense in the final 10 minutes, nosing ahead 74-72 for its first lead of the game. Big man Azoulas Tubelis served up a monster performance with a tied career high of 26 points and 6 boards as he also posted a crucial block in the home stretch to deny Tarik Biberovic. Nigel Williams-Goss scored 18 while Sylvain Francisco racked up 12 to go with 7 boards and 8 assists, while Moses Wright amassed 11 and 6 rebounds with Zalgiris overcoming a poor start to win the battle of the boards 36-31. Fenerbahce led 12-25 after the first quarter and enjoyed a whopping lead in the second but the EuroLeague champs were undone by the home team’s ironclad defense in the second half, with Wade Baldwin leading the charge on 16 points. Big Ten QB Rankings
Bring on the hate. I already know people are going to be upset with a couple of these. Who’s too high? Who’s too low? Who is just right? Dante Moore and Jayden Maiava are easily the best 2 QBs in the Big 10. Some would even argue in the country. Some people may argue that Julian Sayin is the best QB in the Big 10. I think he just has the best weapon. I think Demond Williams has a chance to finish as the best QB. Last year it felt like he disappeared against defenses with a pulse. Let’s see if he can take that next step this year. This is one might get some hate. I think Drake Lindsey is a top 5 QB in the Big Ten. I think last year we saw a few glimpses of how great he could be. Josh Hoover turn the ball over a little too much to be top 5. Maybe that drops now that he’s on a better team. Time will tell. Rocco Becht is a good QB, not a great QB. He’s not a Quarterback that is going to elevate the offense, but give him some solid weapons and he will thrive. Malik Washington didn’t get enough love last season. A lot of that has to do with his receivers failing to hold onto the ball, and he was on a bad Maryland team. Nico Iamaleava was one bright spot on a pretty bad UCLA team. Hopefully with a new coaching staff we see him take a significant jump. Let’s see if Katin Houser can make that jump back into the Big Ten after a good season at ECU. I think he’ll be fine. Not great. I cannot wait for the Anthony Colandrea experience at Nebraska. There’s gonna be a lot of ups and downs. It’ll be fun to watch. This is the one that could potentially make me look dumb. I wasn’t impressed with Underwood’s first season, but some of it wasn’t his fault. A new coaching staff and potentially better weapons might change my mind. Lonergan was one of the few bright spots on a bad Boston College team. I’m sure he’ll be fine for Rutgers. Colton Joseph is dangerous with his legs, and he’s probably going to give the Gophers problems. He is not the greatest passer though, and that will be his downfall in the Big Ten this year. Alessio Milivojevic played really well after he took over as the starter. Maybe I’m not being fair, but it’s only been 4 games. Aidan Chiles is too up and down with too many turnovers. Maybe Chip Kelly can bring some consistency to his game. Peace and love to Ryan Browne, but he’s never done anything to show me that he belongs any higher in the rankings. In his defense, he does play for Purdue. Idk who Iowa’s QB is going to be. I don’t think it matters. CHADRON, Neb., — Press release courtesy of Husker Athletics: The Nebraska volleyball team capped off its spring with a 4-0 sweep over Northern Colorado in front of a sold-out crowd at the Chicoine Center on the campus of Chadron State College on Saturday. The Huskers posted set wins of 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 and 25-21. Nebraska hit .242 in the match, while Northern Colorado hit .162. The Huskers had the edge in kills (53-38), digs (54-45) and aces (11-3). Teraya Sigler had 10 kills and seven digs to pace the Huskers. Skyler Pierce chipped in seven kills and two aces. Harper Murray added six kills with three aces, and Kenna Cogill and Andi Jackson each had six kills. Jayden Robinson added four kills. Bergen Reilly dished out 19 assists with six digs playing the first two sets. Campbell Flynn finished out the match with 20 assists. Laney Choboy had 14 digs in sets one and two.
