Apart from this, Shikhar Dhawan has become the fourth batsman in the world to score 5000 runs in the lowest innings. The Caribbean great Brian Lara also scored 5000 runs in 118 innings. While South African batsman Hashim Amla made the record in the fastest 101 innings. Virat Kohli and Vivian Richards had completed 5000 runs in 114 innings. Duanne Olivier ripped through Pakistan to leave South Africa in control just one day into the second Test in Cape Town. The seamer returned four for 48 from 15 overs as the Proteas skittled Pakistan for 177 - their third score less than 200 in the series. South Africa picked up where they left off from their six-wicket first Test victory, denying Pakistan the chance to build any kind of total. And at stumps on day one, South Africa were 123 for two, with Aiden Markram having made 78. Visiting captain Sarfraz Ahmed hit 56 amid Pakistan's latest batting collapse, with Shan Masood mustering 44. Mohammad Amir was left stranded unbeaten on 22, while Asad Shafiq with 20 was the only other tourist to hit double figures. Dale Steyn bagged three wickets and Kagiso Rabada two for the hosts. Amir had Dean Elgar caught behind for 20 once the Proteas replied, before Masood bowled Markram in a rare chink of Pakistan light. That dismissal proved the final act of the day, with Hashim Amla poised to resume on 24 and South Africa trailing by 54 runs.
