Funes Mori scored his sixth Concacaf Champions Cup goal, and his first with Pumas in the competition. The three-time Champions Cup winners now have 11 wins, four draws, and four losses against Central American opposition since the 2008/09 campaign. After defeating Cavalry (2-0) and Alajuelense (2-0), Pumas UNAM has kept two consecutive home clean sheets in the Concacaf Champions Cup for the first time since the 2011-12 edition. The victory also marked the first for Pumas UNAM under newly appointed head coach Efraín Juárez.
