The good news however is that it's not raining currently in Napier and live pictures show the players going about their warmups. When it comes to bilateral T20Is it's fair to say that no one comes close to India. This is one team that has consistently performed well both home and away and are a win away from securing yet another series win. Since the loss at home to Australia in February 2019 the team in blue have lost just one bilateral T20I series a Covid-19 stricken Indian team losing to Sri Lanka in 2021. The first T20 saw rain play the spoilsport and it seems that it is still chasing the Blue and Black Caps. The good news is it has paused for some time and we can expect some play. After a rain-consumed first T20I both New Zealand and India move on in the three-match series as they get ready to play the second game at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Talking about New Zealand they have been playing a great bit of cricket in the recent past. While both of them topped the group stages they also had a horrible turnout in the semifinals.
