Stone's and Dias continue to be a stalwart partnership as Man City won their 5th Premier League game in a row. Capitalising on Crystal Place's errors, they waltzed to a comfortable 4-0 victory - no surprise then, that the bookies have them as odds on favourite's to claim the title. However, are they really though? Lastly, Arsenal strolled to a 3-0 win over a limp Newcastle, making it 4 wins from their last 5 games for Arteta's men. The young guns - Smith-Rowe and Saka - produced the goods again, but the best part was Aubameyang finally hitting the back of the net, twice! Overall it was one of the best matches in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Right from the Gully cricket type of hitting by Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul, to the beautiful stroke play of Sanju Samson and then to the last few overs heroics of Rahul tewatia to bring the cup home. I feel for Kings Xi Punjab and I really do! The fielding was outstanding and they did justice to having the great Jonty Rhodes as their Coach! Nicholas Pooran oof that effort is unforgettable in the boundary line. Overall the Rajasthan Royals just showed us that nothing is over until the last delivery is bowled in T20 Cricket, hats of to their perseverance and this match sets the tone for the upcoming matches. Talking of the 10th game, The Mumbai Indians take on the men in Red the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rohit sharma’s men are now looking like the champs they are meant to be after their comfortable victory over KKR. Rohit Sharma looks like his form is back and the other under rated player Surya kumar Yadav is oozing class with his batting. The RCB on the other hand have a problem at plenty, their batting seems to be doomed without the contribution from their 2 stalwarts AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli. The over dependence on these 2 super star batsman makes life difficult and the RCB need someone to put up their hand in this crucial junction of the IPL. Recalled youngster Luke Jephcott certainly made the decision to bring him back worthwhile in the 3-1 victory at Scunthorpe United in Sky Bet League Two, scoring a predatory brace for the Pilgrims. Having been out on loan to Truro for the majority of this season, Luke has been playing under former Argyle stalwart Paul Wotton in order to get himself some experience and regular game-time. Gopal finished with a spectacular 3/12 in four overs to fold RCB for 158/4 at the end of 20 overs which included the dismissals of the two big guns Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. And with those two crucial wickets, Gopal joined Ashish Nehra in an elite list. The two batting stalwarts have been dismissed by the same bowler in an IPL inning 19 times. In fact, earlier this season, in the IPL 2019 opener between Chennai Super Kings and RCB, offie Harbhajan Singh had got the better of two batters in Chepauk. Well, with the two dismissals on Tuesday, Gopal emulated his 2018 heroics for the second time in IPL to become the second bowler after Nehra to achieve it. Gopal had dismissed Kohli and AB at the same venue last season, while he dismissed the South African in Bengaluru in their first meeting in 2018.
