Will David Warner Play For Sunrisers Hyderabad Again In IPL? SRH Coach Explains

David Warner was left out of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing XI for their clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). And, it looks like David Warner’s comeback into the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side might not happen anytime soon. SRH Head Coach Trevor Bayliss has stated that the makeup of the SRH team is changing. Stating that they wanted more bowlers in the side, Bayliss said that the SRH outfit had preferred to go in with Mohammed Nabi in the encounter against Rajasthan Royals. Bayliss also reasoned that Jason Holder will help to bolster the pace bowling department as well. Bayliss even went on to state that the SRH side will stick with the same playing XI for the next couple of games as well. “Difficult decision, big decision but we wanted to try and change the makeup of the team. Try and help our bowlers with a few extra overs from another bowler. We have gone with Nabi in this game. Someone like Jason Holder in that middle order will help our pace bowling as well. We want to stick with the same team, rather than dropping players from one or two matches,” said Bayliss in a chat with Star Sports. đź”´ CSK vs SRH Live Score and Commentary | IPL Live | Chennai vs Hyderabad, 23rd Match - Live Cricket

Preview by Prakash Govindasreenivasan Outlook After a season like 2020, even the most ardent supporters would've expected Chennai Super Kings to be under the cosh in their first leg of this season. A lot of last year was spent with Stephen Fleming repeatedly pointing out that the CSK squad was tailor-made for Chepauk pitches, and the struggle in UAE was down to unfavourable conditions. But four rousing performances at the Wankhede has not just flipped the expected narrative for CSK, but also re-adjusted what would've begun as modest expectations. Conditions at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi should be closer to CSK's comfort zone, but wins based on incredible individual performances in Mumbai will give them the confidence to not be too perturbed by how the pitches play at the national capital. The same cannot be said though, for David Warner & Co. who have quickly slid to four defeats in five games and are at risk of falling well behind in the playoffs race that will soon start to gather steam. SRH began in Chepauk, where they should've had better performances despite their record there. But they have once again been let down by the lack of balance in the middle-order. SRH have found a way to pack the top-order with David Warner, Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson, but how well the rest can bat around them will shape their fate going forward. When: Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 23, April 28, 2021, 7:30 PM IST Where: Arun Jaitley stadium, New Delhi What to expect: The pitches in Delhi are expected to be slow and aid bowlers with the ability to use change of pace. Spinners should do well too. It's a venue that will suit both these sides. Head to head: In 14 meetings, CSK have won 10 and SRH just 4. In the last three years, CSK have enjoyed a 6-2 record against SRH. In the 2018 season, CSK beat SRH four times, including in the final, to win the title. Team Watch: Chennai Super Kings Injured/Unavailable: In a chat during CSK's previous game, Robin Uthappa allayed fears of a lengthy layoff for Moeen Ali. "He should be ready to go in the next game," he said. Given Moeen's impact so far, he's likely to slot back in right away. If CSK decide not to rush him back, they can stick with Dwayne Bravo who has a good record against SRH. Ambati Rayudu appeared to struggle with a fitness issue while running between the wickets and was seen limping even after the previous game. If he's out, CSK could bring in Robin Uthappa and use him in the top-three, should Moeen also be unavailable. Tactics & Match-ups: Shardul Thakur, who now has 50 IPL wickets to his name, has created problems for Kane Williamson before. The SRH stalwart has faced 33 balls from Shardul, hitting 38 runs and getting dismissed twice. Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali/Dwayne Bravo, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa/Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Sam Curran, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Imran Tahir Sunrisers Hyderabad Injured/Unavailable: Bhuvneshwar Kumar missed the last game after "pulling up sore". Remains to be seen if he is ready for this fixture. Even if he is, SRH are likely to retain Jagadeesha Suchith in the line-up after his impressive outing in the narrow defeat to DC. Bhuvneshwar could come back in place of one of two quicks - Khaleel Ahmed or Siddarth Kaul. Probable XI: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Virat Singh/Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Kedar Jadhav/Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Jagadeesha Suchith, Khaleel Ahmed/Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul Did you know? - Rashid has the lowest average, lowest SR and third lowest ER against CSK among all opponent teams in IPL - Ambati Rayudu has 496 runs in 15 innings against SRH - at an average of 45.09 and a strike-rate of 132.27 - Kane Williamson has 301 runs in 8 innings against CSK - at an average of 43.00 and a strike rate of 139.35 Squads: Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad: David Warner(c), Jonny Bairstow(w), Kane Williamson, Virat Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Rashid Khan, Jagadeesha Suchith, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddarth Kaul, Wriddhiman Saha, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shreevats Goswami, Manish Pandey, Mohammad Nabi, Jason Roy, Shahbaz Nadeem, Jason Holder, Sandeep Sharma, Basil Thampi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad Chennai Super Kings Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni(w/c), Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Imran Tahir, Robin Uthappa, Cheteshwar Pujara, Karn Sharma, Moeen Ali, Jason Behrendorff, Krishnappa Gowtham, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Santner, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Hari Nishanth, N Jagadeesan, KM Asif, Harishankar Reddy, Bhagath Varma #ipllive #2021ipl #livescore

Bhuvneshwar could come back in place of one of two quicks - Khaleel Ahmed or Siddarth Kaul. Warner appeared to suggest dropping Manish Pandey for the last couple of games was a harsh call. The management could turn back to him. Abdul Samad missed the last two fixtures with a hamstring pull. If he's fit, he should take back his place in the lower middle-order too. Tactics & Match-ups: No better time for David Warner to take control of SRH's batting innings as they look to recover from a dreadful start to the season. He has five 50-plus scores against CSK in eight innings and has hit them at a strike rate of 151.97. Probable XI: David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Virat Singh/Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Kedar Jadhav/Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Jagadeesha Suchith, Khaleel Ahmed/Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Siddarth Kaul Did you know? - Rashid has the lowest average, lowest SR and third lowest ER against CSK among all opponent teams in IPL - Ambati Rayudu has 496 runs in 15 innings against SRH - at an average of 45.09 and a strike-rate of 132.27 - Kane Williamson has 301 runs in 8 innings against CSK - at an average of 43.00 and a strike rate of 139.35 What they said: "I think an important aspect of a team's batting performance is the opening partnership. We have got such a long batting line-up, but what you need is a good start in any format that you play. Obviously pleasing that we as a partnership can make sure that we get that good start and lay the foundation for the guys to come in and hit towards the end." - Faf du Plessis #ipllive #ipltoday #ipllivescore #CSKvsSRH #ipl2021 #todaymatch

Not only is it their first matchup against a well-coached Boston troupe, they’ll be allowing fans in the arena for the first time all season – and the first time since March of 2020.In this game, the Suns are honoring medical professionals for their tireless work during this pandemic by giving them free tickets to the game (need only show medical ID badge for entry). Tickets are given out in 2- and 4-packs for these pros and their families/friends. Many COVID safety protocols will be enforced.Limited capacity restrictions will continue to remain in place – but still – any person who plays basketball professionally can wholeheartedly attest to the tremendous difference in the air that percolates arena atmospheres when fans are present, vs. absent. Plus, the distinction between jeering opposers and supportive followers can oftentimes be a deciding differentiator between a win, and a loss. The matchup will be especially important for one Cam Johnson, who holds a personal appreciation for the special invites the team sent out to a few healthcare workers to watch them compete in person. Johnson’s own mother is a registered nurse:Jaylen Brown. The C’s have played just one game without their budding star guard – and it just so happened to be against one of the Western Conference’s top stalwarts in the LA Clippers. They were able to substantiate (to a certain degree) as second-year man Grant Williams saw his minutes swell to an amount (32) that more than doubled his previous outing (15).But Brown’s absence in the lineup proved costly, and as Jayson Tatum transforms into the lone primary focus for attacking defenses with his sidekick sidelined, he’ll be forced to take on an especially accentuated scoring role. Brown is posting 26.4 ppg on a plus-50% shooting clip from the floor, and that type of rapid-fire potency is going be mammoth-sized hole to fill. Plus, Kemba Walker’s sputtered start isn’t going to Mae things any easier.Frank Kaminsky turned a ton of heads when he erupted for a 15-point shooting masterpiece in the Suns’ last matchup vs. Detroit - a team that absolutely bludgeoned the Valley Boys inside in the previous pairing between the two. But head coach Monty Williams also turned a few startled necks when he announced that Kaminsky was likely to be the team’s starting four-man going forward. Of course, all coach-initiated decisions are fluid, and subject to change by game, but Phoenix has shown massive holes down low (and these reared themselves full-frontal when Zion Williamson drove a territorial claiming stake in his paint on his way to 28 big ones Wednesday).Kaminsky was Uber-efficient Friday, so look for Daniel Theis to place a central focus on quenching his shooting inferno. Meanwhile, Thompson recently claimed he was still the “hardest working” big man in the league, so he’ll be chomping at the bit to get his hands on a young gun who’s poised to challenge him on that sentiment in Deandre Ayton.Oh, and last but not least, we can’t forget about the potential All-Stars, especially Mr. “Sicko Mode” himself – Devin Booker. I expect him to push the scoring issue more as he strives to elevate back into his quintessential form after a four-game hiatus due to a hamstring ailment. Book will look to get bucket-train rumbling fast and promptly in his team’s earliest start time of the year, while CP3 coaxes his way to a quiet, but invariable double-digit assist afternoon. The Suns take down an undermanned Celtics regime 110-105.
