We moved back into the top four thanks to a pulsating victory over Manchester United. It was a highly charged, incident-packed encounter from start to finish. Nuno Tavares and Bukayo Saka fired us into a two-goal lead inside half an hour, before United rallied to halve the deficit through Cristiano Ronaldo. Bruno Fernandes then missed a penalty before Granit Xhaka sealed the points with a superb 25-yard drive. These lunchtime kick offs can often have a sedate atmosphere early on. Not this one. The crowd were up for it from the kick off, and the team responded immediately. There were just two minutes on the clock when Tavares gave us the lead. Xhaka’s deep cross was missed by everyone in the United defence and found its way though to Saka. His shot was parried by David de Gea but Tavares was in the right place at the far post to tuck home. It was the full back’s first goal for the club since joining from Benfica last summer. United came back. Anthony Elanga had a low shot well saved by Aaron Ramsdale before Gabriel put in a great block after Ramsdale had presented the ball to Fernandes. Diogo Dalot was next to go close for the visitors, curling a shot from 20 yards over the keeper and against the crossbar. Chances were coming at both ends, and Eddie Nketiah had a great chance after being slid through on goal by Martin Odegaard but his shot was straight at de Gea. Moments later Nketiah thought he had beaten the keeper, only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR for a very close offside call. However there was a foul on Saka in the build up, and a spot kick was awarded instead. For the second time in a week the England man stepped up and netted from the penalty spot. The two-goal advantage didn’t last long. United had been a threat throughout the opening half hour, and pulled a goal back through Cristiano Ronaldo, who stole in at the far post to fire home a looping cross. Ramsdale’s moment of hesitation proved costly. The first half was action-packed, and had flown by. Odegaard had another shot tipped away in injury-time – one of six attempts on target in the opening 45 minutes for us. Tavares should have hit the target soon after the interval. He found space inside the box, beat his man superbly, but blazed a shot high and wide. Tavares’s eventful afternoon continued when he gave away a penalty for handball. Fernandes stepped up, but his shot hit the post and went behind for a goal kick. It was a big let off, and moments later there was another when Ronaldo’s goal was ruled out for offside by the barest of margins. Ramsdale came up with a huge save at his near post to turn Dalot’s shot onto the woodwork. We were living dangerously, but Granit Xhaka’s fierce drive relieved the pressure. He picked up the ball five yards outside the box, shifted it on to his trusty left foot, and arrowed his shot beyond the despairing de Gea just inside the post. The Emirates erupted. With the two-goal cushion restored, we closed out the game to earn a second big win in the space of four days. Liam Patterson-White picked up his second five-wicket haul in the space of three matches as Nottinghamshire enjoyed a productive first day of their LV= County Championship clash with Durham at Riverside. Having won the toss and opted to bowl first, Notts took two wickets before lunch as Luke Fletcher took his 600th scalp in all formats with the final ball of the morning. Durham amassed 96 runs by the interval, before fiery spells from overseas signings James Pattinson and Dane Paterson reduced the hosts to 135/5. However, Patterson-White stole the limelight by taking all of the final three wickets. That left Durham with a first innings total of 230, which the Green and Golds made inroads into in the 15 evening session overs they batted through, closing on 50 without loss.
#wanindu #ipl2022 #vmaxsports ‘Wanindu Hasaranga not bowling his first over till 11th was blunder’ – Brad Hogg reviews CSK vs RCB clash Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg felt that the Chennai Super Kings were tactically ahead of Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 22 of IPL 2022 at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. CSK registered their first victory of the season by 23 runs in the fixture against RCB and have finally got points on the board after losing four games on the trot. The Ravindra Jadeja-led side posted a massive total of 216 for four in their 20 overs on account of an excellent third-wicket partnership of 165 runs between Robin Uthappa (88) and Shivam Dube (95*). With the ball in hand, the CSK side kept picking up wickets at regular intervals and did not allow the chasing side to be up with the required run rate. Maheesh Theekshana in particular was quite brilliant with his mystery spin as he accounted for both the openers of RCB and came back later to pick up the set batters Shahbaz Ahmed (41) and Suyash Prabhudessai (34). However, Dinesh Karthik gave a real scare by hitting some big ones in the last few overs with a 14-ball 34. It was only a matter of time for CSK’s victory as Karthik was dismissed in the 18th over of the game. Have to give your secret weapon an over earlier: Brad Hogg Hogg mentioned CSK’s tactical prowesses by bowling a lot of spin in the first ten overs whereas Faf du Plessis was reluctant to go to his match-winner Wanindu Hasaranga until the 11th over. He added that Hasaranga should have come earlier and it was a big surprise that the Sri Lankan wrist-spinner did not complete his quota of four overs as well while the other bowlers were taken to the cleaners. “CSK tactically superior last night. They bowled 7 overs of spin in the first 10 overs compared to 3 from RCB. Hasaranga not bowling his first over till the 11th was a blunder. Have to give your secret weapon an over earlier than that. #CSKvsRCB #IPL2022,” Hogg tweeted This is RCB’s second loss in the tournament and their next game will be against the Delhi Capitals on 16th April (Saturday), while CSK will play the Gujarat Titans on 17th April (Sunday).
Exeter City continued their solid home form thanks to victory over Crawley Town on Tuesday evening. Despite an uneventful first 25 minutes, the opening half livened up as it grew older, and a Timothee Dieng brace gave the Grecians a two-goal advantage. Kwesi Appiah’s goal just before the interval brought Crawley back into it, but the stop-start nature of the second half limited the clear-cut chances; Zanzala and Nadesan wasting their respective team’s best openings. #ECFC #ExeterCity #OneGrecianGoal 📺 Make sure you SUBSCRIBE 👊 https://ecfc.co/YouTubeSub 📼 View more videos 👉 https://ecfc.co/YouTube 🔎 Find us online: 📌 Facebook 👉 https://ecfc.co/Facebook 📌 Twitter 👉 https://ecfc.co/Twitter 📌 Instagram 👉 https://ecfc.co/Instagram 📌 Snapchat 👉 search 'officialecfc' 📌 Website 👉 exetercityfc.co.uk 📌 Club Shop 👉 shop.exetercityfc.co.uk 🎟 Buy tickets 👉 ecfconline.co.uk 📧 Ticket help 👉 tickets@ecfc.co.uk
- THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FANS CLIPS DIRECTLY FROM THE STADIUM 🗣There Is No Life Without Football - Welcome To : PASSION ULTRAS ⚽ Rangers FC - Crvena Zvezda 3-0 | Alfredo Morelos Goal vs Crvena Zvezda In EUROPA LEAGUE - PLAY OFFS - 1/8-FINALS #RangersFC #CrvenaZvezda #RedStarBelgrade #RangersRedStar ⚽ James Tavernier takes the corner and Leon Balogun (Rangers) rises highest near the penalty spot to plant a brilliant header into the right side of the goal. The score is 3:0. _ Rampant Rangers crush Red Star Rangers put one foot into the UEFA Europa League (UEL) quarter-finals with a pulsating 3-0 win over Red Star Belgrade at Ibrox. The Scottish champions continued their imperious form on home soil, having now gone 20 games without defeat on their own turf. VAR proved crucial in an electrifying opening 15 minutes. First, Aleksandar Katai’s gorgeous curling finish into the top corner was ruled out for an offside in the build-up after just three minutes. A review came to the hosts’ aid once more, as Slavoljub Srnić was penalised for a challenge on Ryan Kent inside the box. Rangers skipper James Tavernier stepped up to finish emphatically into the top corner from 12 yards and send Ibrox into raptures. Much to the frustration of Red Star manager Dejan Stanković, Katai saw another goal ruled out for offside moments after the visitors fell behind. As with the first disallowed strike, the visitors conceded almost immediately, as a clever Rangers corner routine disorganised the defence before a poor clearance landed to Alfredo Morelos to slam home. A crazy half showed no signs of slowing down as Red Star’s intricate build-up opened the hosts’ defence, before Ryan Jack hauled Mirko Ivanić down inside the box. However, Katai was denied by a phenomenal save from 40-year-old Allan McGregor. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men were looking lethal on the break, and Glen Kamara nearly added a third before the interval, but his effort sailed over the bar. Red Star continued to struggle while defending set-pieces and it cost them once soon after the restart. Tavernier’s precise delivery was met by Leon Balogun, who produced a phenomenal header which nestled into the far corner. Connor Goldson was the next to threaten from a dead-ball situation, but his looping header was cleared off the line. It was not a night without danger for Rangers, highlighted by Guelor Kanga rattling the barn as Red Star aimed to reduce the deficit. However, another historic night at Ibrox will leave the ‘Gers’ faithful dreaming of European glory, and they are now odds-on to end a two-year run of UEL last-16 exits. _ MATCH REPORT: RANGERS 3-0 CRVENA ZVEZDA RANGERS will travel to Belgrade next week with a three-goal lead in place after tonight’s stunning UEFA Europa League, Round of 16 win over Red Star at Ibrox Stadium. A brilliantly taken penalty from captain James Tavernier, a terrific finish from Alfredo Morelos and a stunning penalty save from Allan McGregor meant the Light Blues were in a strong position at the end of a pulsating first half that was action packed from start to finish. The second half provided more of the same with a further goal from Leon Balogun on 51 minutes giving Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side a hugely memorable first-leg victory over Dejan Stankovic’s men. As expected, the pre-match atmosphere was electric as the teams emerged from the tunnel, with Rangers wearing their all-blue kit and the Serbian visitors sporting their famous red and white striped jerseys The game started at a high tempo and with just two minutes on the clock Red Star had the ball in the net when playmaker Aleksander Katai curled a terrific shot beyond McGregor in front of the Copland Stand. Thankfully, there was a player in an offside position in the build-up, which was confirmed by VAR. // Source Vidéos : 👇🏽 _ https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca8PIXtsyFl/ Welcome To : PASSION ULTRAS ⚽ In this channel we cover all interesting football activities from all the league's ~generally football content everything interesting in the World of FOOTBALL : Fans Support Videos 🔥 Matchday Videos 🔥 and more... instagram : https://www.instagram.com/passionultras007/ Every subscription motivates us more to create videos for you! We moved into the top four with a hard-fought win at Watford on Sunday in a rollercoaster of a game at Vicarage Road. After the drama of our last Premier League clash some 10 days earlier against Wolves, Mikel Arteta would have been after a more serene affair this time around. But his heart would have been in his mouth when, 19 seconds into the match, Emmanuel Dennis raced behind our defence and beat Aaron Ramsdale to seemingly open the scoring. The assistant referee’s flag spared us from an early concession though. But a blockbuster opening to the match saw us take the lead minutes later as a slick move up the right saw the superb Martin Odegaard flick the ball to Bukayo Saka. Our England international raced up the right and picked out Odegaard, who took a touch before finding the far corner for his fifth goal of the campaign. But our lead did not last long as the Hornets stung us with a sharp move up the right, with Kiko Femenia crossing for Cucho Hernandez to send a brilliant overhead kick past Ramsdale – and this time it did count. We weren’t at our very best in the first half, but regained the lead when fine work by Saka to steal the ball in front of the Watford box saw his then find Alex Lacazette in the area. The captain did what he does best, holding off Craig Cathcart before playing it back to Saka to curl the ball high into the roof of the net. We couldn’t add to our lead before the interval, but after half time we opened up a two goal advantage in clinical circumstances. Credit to Saka, who took a quick throw to release Cedric up the right and he found Lacazette on the edge of the area, he then laid it off to Gabriel Martinelli and the Brazilian found the top corner with a fine first-time effort. The game still had plenty of life still in it, and the hosts soon had a penalty shout waved away, with Moussa Sissoko and Tom Cleverley in quick succession. Lacazette then had an opportunity to extend our lead after good work from Odegaard but fired wide, while Ben White skewed a volley wide when well placed. Dennis had a big chance to pull one back for Watford in the closing stages but scuffed his shot with the goal gaping. We kept pushing to kill off the game, and Eddie Nketiah – on for a matter of moments – nearly did just that but hit the post after a rapid counter attack. But Roy Hodgson’s side added another twist when Sissoko forced the ball home from a tight angle, setting up a grandstand finish. But despite a tense finale, we held on for the three points in another vital victory in the hunt for a top-four finish. #arsenal #saka #martinelli Enjoy match highlights, training and behind the scenes to get closer to the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Vivianne Miedema, Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Leah Williamson, Bernd Leno, Nikita Parris, Tobin Heath, Mana Iwabuchi, Jordan Nobbs, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kim Little, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale, Beth Mead, Ben White, Thomas Partey and more. NZ-W vs BD-W Dream11 Match Preview It’s match #5 and it’s a clash between the host New Zealand and the World Cup debutants Bangladesh. Both are coming on the back of a defeat in the first game. New Zealand might be a bit shell-shocked after losing the game despite being in a winning position at the start of the last over. All they needed was 6 off 6 before Deandra Dottin put her hand up and decided to take matters into her own hands. Sophie Devine scored a hundred and looked as if she will take her side home until Chinelle Henry took a blinder off her own bowling. Meanwhile, Bangladesh fought tooth and nail with South Africa who were definitely a superior team between the two despite the absence of Dane van Niekerk and Lizelle Lee. The Bangladesh women started really well with regular wickets and never allowed South Africa to run away with the game and managed to restrict them to a below-par total. In the run-chase, they got off a to a very good start and looked to be running away the game for most part of the innings, but a collapse followed and they fell short of the total. Ayabonga Khaka was yet again the star of the match by picking up 4 wickets. Mbappé and Messi leave St Etienne feeling green Kylian Mbappé scored two and assisted another as Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to defeat Saint-Étienne at the Parc des Princes. Another turnaround victory means the champions-elect have now recovered 21 points after conceding first - more than any other side in Europe’s top five leagues. ‘Les Verts’ made a superb start to proceedings, immediately causing the Ligue 1 leaders problems by exploiting their high line to launch counter attacks. Both Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe were forced into challenges as the last man after a St. Étienne player had run in behind them, before Gianluigi Donnarumma produced a fabulous reaction save to deny Zaydou Youssouf. Mauricio Pochettino’s men were the architects of their own downfall in conceding the opener, as Danilo Pereira’s ill-advised turn on the edge of his own box was severely punished. Denis Bouanga picked the Portugal international’s pocket before slotting home calmly beyond Donnarumma to silence the home crowd. ‘Les Parisiens’ did find their feet as the half progressed and drew level just before the interval. Lionel Messi produced a simply outrageous through ball to find Mbappé, with the Frenchman’s shot bursting through the gloves of Paul Bernardoni. That same combination linked up after the break to give PSG the lead, Messi’s weaving run through the defence opening space for Mbappé to arrive and finish with aplomb into the far corner. The hosts had well and truly found their groove and Mbappé was running the show, and his glorious outside-of-the-foot cross found Danilo in acres of space to nod home. That third goal took the sting out of St. Etienne, who had no answer for their extremely talented opponents. PSG now sit 16 points clear at the top of Ligue 1, meaning it looks increasingly certain they will retain their crown. Meanwhile, the visitors’ H2H record against PSG now stands at zero wins in their last 26 meetings, with the side from the French capital having won an incredible 20 of those games. // Source Vidéos : 👇🏽 _ _ https://twitter.com/Iamsege1 _ Welcome To : PASSION ULTRAS ⚽ In this channel we cover all interesting football activities from all the league's ~generally football content everything interesting in the World of FOOTBALL : Fans Support Videos 🔥 Matchday Videos 🔥 and more... instagram : https://www.instagram.com/passionultras007/ Every subscription motivates us more to create videos for you!
