Curtis Campher 4 in 4 | Scotland shock Bangladesh | T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 Review
Curtis Campher 4 in 4 | Scotland shock Bangladesh | T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 Review

Curtis Camper takes 4 wickets in 4 balls at the T20 Cricket World Cup and Scotland beat Bangladesh. We’re 2 days in and already have had some sensational individual and team performances. G1 Oman v Papua New Guinea - 11am Sun 17th - First Round Group B, Al Amerat PAPUA NEW GUINEA 129/9 (20 overs) Assad Vala 56 (43) Charles Amini 37 (26) (MOM) Zeeshan Maqsood 4/20(4) Bilal Khan 2/16(4) OMAN 131/0 (13.4/20 ov, target 130) Jatinder Singh 73* (42) Aqib Ilyas 50* (43) Oman won by 10 wickets (with 38 balls remaining) The hosts got off to an emphatic start clinching a 10-wkt win, set up in large part by their experienced skipper Zeeshan Maqsood who ripped through the PNG middle order. PNG got off to a shocker of start sitting 0-2 in the 1st 9 balls but captain Assad Vala (56) and Charles Amini (37) got them up to 81. It all went downhill from here, staggering to 112-5 and then 129 a/o. Jatinder Singh (73*) and Aquib Ilyas (50*) then made light work of the PNG attack, comfortably getting home inside 14 overs to get them off to a flying start. No shortage of MOM nominees for Oman with the unbeaten openers and 2 wkts for quick Bilal Khan but it was the winning skipper, Zeeshan Maqsood that was rightly awarded the honor. Bangladesh, who will neup next for the hosts. G2 Bangladesh v Scotland - 3pm Sun 17th - First Round Group B (N), Al Amerat SCOTLAND 140/9 (20 overs) Chris Greaves 45 (28) George Munsey 29 (23) Mahedi Hasan (26 y/o little offie) 3/19(4) Shakib Al Hasan 2/17(4) BANGLADESH 134/7 (20 overs, Target 141) Mushfiqur Rahim 38 (36) Mahmudullah 23 (22) Brad Wheal 3/24(4) Chris Greaves 2/19(3) Scotland won by 6 runs Another incredible team and individual performance in game 2, this time by Scotland who made life as difficult as possible for themselves before coming back to beat the favored Bangladeshis. Star for Scotland was Chris Greaves playing in only his 2nd game – and who was until recently working delivering parcels for Amazon – whose top score knock of 45 batting at 7 helped Scotland to 140/9 after they had slipped to 53/6, before snaffling 2/19 in the Bangladesh reply including the wicket of star batsman Shakib al-Hasan. As for Shakib, his 2 wickets established him as the leading wicket taker in T20i history – with 108 victims – one more than SL legend Lasith Malinga. Tim Southee (99) and Rashid Khan (95) will both be looking to catch him up! No time to wallow for the Lions as it’s a tough one against the hosts Oman next. G3 Ireland v Netherlands - 11am - First Round Group A, Abu Dhabi NETHERLANDS 106/10 (20 overs) Max O'Dowd 51 (47) Pieter Seelaar 21 (29) Curtis Campher 4/26(4) Mark Adair 3/9(4) IRELAND 107/3 (15.1 overs) Gareth Delany 44 (29) Paul Stirling* 30 (39) Fred Klaassen 1/18(3) Pieter Seelaar 1/14(2.1) Ireland won by 7 wickets (with 29 balls remaining) Another game, another young player stepping up… this time it was 22 y/o Joburg born Curtis Campher who put in a MOM performance to give Ireland a huge 1st win against this experienced Dutch side. Whilst Mark Adair took an impressive 3/9 in his 4 overs, it was Campher who will grab the headlines after taking 4 wkts in 4 balls in the 10th over – seeing off Colin Ackermann, Ryan ten Doeschate, Scott Edwards and Roelof van der Merwe. After which, the Netherlands were 51 for 6 before setting Ireland the modest target of 107 thanks to a plucky 21 from skipper Pieter Seelaar. Paul Sterling’s 30* and a fluid 44 off 29 balls from Gareth Delaney got Ireland close before he was dismissed, allowing MOM Campher to be in at the end with an unbeaten 7 to go with 4 mightily impressive wickets. Netherlands are up against it now. G4 Namibia v Sri Lanka - 3pm - First Round Group A (N), Abu Dhabi NAMIBIA 96/10 (19.3 overs) Craig Williams 29(36) Gerhard Erasmus 20(19) Maheesh Theeksana 3/25(4) Lahiru Kumara 2/9(3.3) Hasaranga 2/24 SRI LANKA 100/3 (13.3/20 ov, target 97) Bhanuka Rajapaksa 42*(27) Avishka Fernando 30*(28) JJ Smith, Tumpleman & Bernard Scholtz – 1 each Sri Lanka won by 7 wickets (with 39 balls remaining) Qualifying stage big boys SL got off to a solid 7 wicket win with time to spare over Namibia to round out day 2. The England Lions squad to tour Australia has been announced with Dom Sibley headlining the team. Squad Tom Abell (Somerset), Josh Bohannon (Lancashire), James Bracey (Gloucestershire), Brydon Carse (Durham), Mason Crane (Hampshire), Matthew Fisher (Yorkshire), Ben Foakes (Surrey), Alex Lees (Durham), Saqib Mahmood (Lancashire), Liam Norwell (Warwickshire), Matt Parkinson (Lancashire), Dom Sibley (Warwickshire), Jamie Smith (Surrey), Rob Yates (Warwickshire).

Luís de Camões characterised Table Mountain as the mythological giant, Adamastor. The petrified titan provides fast and technical, at times, riding for the opening kilometres of the 2021 Absa Cape Epic, in Table Mountain National Park. Returning riders will be well briefed on what to expect; steep gradients heading both up and downhill.. The Prologue features climbing from the off; through campus and the UCT XC Track and onto the dual tracks of Table Mountain National Park. The first significant challenge is the Quarry Climb, riders will then ascend to Dead Man’s Tree; virtually the highest point of the stage. The asphalt of Table Mountain Road provides rolling respite before the white knuckle descent of the day’s Land Rover Technical Terrain: Plum Pudding. 🔔 Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/CapeepicMTB/ 🌐 Visit our website to access more content: https://www.cape-epic.com/ 📲 And Follow us on all our social networks: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/capeepic/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/capeepic Twitter: https://twitter.com/capeepic

Questions, Thoughts and Concerns After UCF's Disaster at Cincinnati
Questions, Thoughts and Concerns After UCF's Disaster at Cincinnati

The biggest issue from this 56-21 loss be how the players came out and performed early in the game. Not enough energy, bad body language, and a lack of 100% effort doomed UCF from the outset. There were plenty of situations for blame on the coaching staff, but the disaster begins with the UCF players. Next, UCF's offensive game plan did not attack down the field. After bringing it up several times this week, today's game is why any college football team must attack, in a very specific way, the Cincinnati secondary. The Bearcats sit on short routes and play downhill. So what's UCF do? Throw short passes. Bad idea. UCF needed to physically beat up on Ahmad Gardner and Coby Bryant. Run the football directly at them, run Joey Gatewood directly at them, run screens with massive offensive linemen running right at them. For the most part, that did not happen. Finally, UCF's inability to play smart football led to easy situations for Cincinnati. Special teams plays like a shanked punt, a return man hesitating after catching the football, and the quarterback using a snap count that allowed the Cincinnati defenders to time up the snap and gain an advantage over the UCF offensive tackles all took place today. That's bad football and it's 100% on the players. Those are common sense issues that must be fixed before the Knights play Memphis this next Friday.

Carolina Panthers vs Dallas Cowboys: NFL Week 4 Preview
Carolina Panthers vs Dallas Cowboys: NFL Week 4 Preview

FRISCO, Texas – With an impressive 41-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys improved to 2-1 and sit atop the NFC East. The Cowboys exploited the Eagles’ two-high shell with 160 yards on the ground from their one-two punch of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. Dallas played a complementary football game with the defense notching two takeaways. The Cowboys will look to carry the momentum against the undefeated Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Here are some storylines for both teams entering Sunday’s NFC showdown. Panthers The Panthers are coming off a 24-9 victory against the Houston Texans in Week 3 and will once again head to Texas to face the Cowboys. Despite the win, Carolina lost two key playmakers on both sides of the football. The team’s featured back, Christian McCaffrey, strained his hamstring in the second quarter and the club’s 2021 first-round pick Jaycee Horn broke multiple bones in his foot and will be placed on IR. Without McCaffrey, the team’s primary workhorse on the ground and his dynamic pass-catching ability, more stress with fall on quarterback Sam Darnold. Rookie running back Chuba Hubbard totaled 79 yards in Week 3, and he will look to mirror that performance against Dallas to create favorable matchups on the outside for weapons like D.J. Moore. To help solidify the cornerback position with Horn’s absence, the Panthers acquired C.J. Henderson from the Jaguars for a third-round pick and tight end Dan Arnold. Henderson is expected to make his debut against America’s Team. Carolina will arrive at AT&T Stadium with the top-ranked defense in the NFL. The Panthers are allowing just 191 yards-per-game, a byproduct of Phil Snow’s penetrating defensive front. Snow utilizes exotic fronts and creative pressures, centered around the athleticism of Haason Reddick and Brian Burns. The Panthers lead the league with 14 sacks, curtesy of Reddick (4.5) and Burns (three). Their explosive get-offs have consistently harassed opposing quarterbacks. Winning the battle in the trenches will be critical for the Cowboys’ offensive line on Sunday. “They’re really crowding the ball, getting off the ball, a lot of activity,” Mike McCarthy told D210SPORTS on Carolina’s pass rush. “We got to make sure we know these guys. They’re playing with good juice.” Cowboys Dak Prescott’s command at the line of scrimmage and quick release has created the team’s favorable tempo. He posted a 143.3 passer rating against the Eagles, but the Cowboys ability to establish the run in the previous two games has factored into their two wins. Against the Chargers’ light box, Kellen Moore dialed up a perimeter-based attack to get Pollard in space. His shiftiness and ability to elude tackles carved up L.A.’s defense. A week later against the Eagles, the team found success with a downhill rushing attack that maximized Elliott’s power through tackles. Elliott is tied for the league lead with three rushing touchdowns and Pollard has eclipsed the 60-yard marker in the Cowboys past two games. With the number of playmakers on the Cowboys’ offense, defenses will have to pick their poison. Dallas has scored on the opening drive in each of the past two games. Prescott noted “starting fast” against the Panthers will be pivotal. The Cowboys lead the league in takeaways (8) and are tied for the lead in turnover differential (+5), largely due to Trevon Diggs’ impact in the secondary. Diggs has three interceptions in three games that has spearheaded the defense’s turnaround under Dan Quinn. Rookies Micah Parsons and Osa Odighizuwa have contributed to the revamped unit. Each week, the defense’s relentless pursuit of the football is on full display. Parsons rare closing speed and Odighizuwa’s quick first-step have wreaked havoc on offenses. They will play a key role in disrupting Darnold and getting him off his spot.

Trading Wins | NYCFC 1-2 NE Revolution | Episode 42

It looked good early, but once NYCFC lost Santi it all seemed to go downhill. After a great effort in the first 15, NE started to show why their the first team in the East (at least statistically). We're ready to go for FC Dallas. This was another one of those losses where it doesn't feel like it means much in the grand scheme of things.
