Sierra Leone goalkeeper Mohamed kamara sealed the show against Algeria. As we know the AFCON is underway so in a group fixture Sierra Leone and Algeria faced each other. It was expected that the raining champions Algeria will easily win the game. But there was one player in particular at the Sierra Leone side who thanked the different way, and it was their 22 years old goalkeeper Mohamed kamara. who single handedly carried his countries hope. As he a total of 7 saves against Algeria, whose attack is considered the best in Africa as they have Citizen Riyad Mahrez. It was all because of Kamara's bravery and heroism that Sierra Leone were able to tie the game nil nil. it was the first time since 2018 that Algeria failed to score. All credit goes to Kamara. Also the big headlines came when he was presented his Man of the match trophy. As the the young keeper couldn't control his emotions and he literally burst out in tears. Well is really expected as it was the first time that he played at such a big stage. #mohamedkamara #sierraleonevsalgeria #afcon #mohamedkamaracriedvsalgeria #offsidepitch _________________________________ ~Also find us on : Instagram https://www.instagram.com/offsidepitchfc Twitter https://mobile.twitter.com/offsidepitchFC Facebook https://m.facebook.com/offsidepitchFC _________________________________
#SheffieldUnited Vs #Millwall Fans reaction with #awaywin. That Millwall Podcast - Stop playing five defenders at home #22 https://youtu.be/6KEfLzMbjLw MILLWALL boss Gary Rowett said his side deserved to beat Sheffield United for the ābraveryā they showed at Bramall Lane after he had demanded a response to their 2-1 defeat against Luton Town. The Lions took the lead through Jed Wallaceās fifth goal of the season in the 11th minute before Billy Sharp levelled from the penalty spot in the 45th minute. Jake Cooper fired in a dramatic 92nd-minute winner, his second injury-time strike in successive games at the home of the Blades. Rowett was unsure if Wallace meant his goal, after the attackerās cross-shot from the right arrowed over goalkeeper Robin Olsen and into the far top corner. Morgan Gibbs-White was sent off in the 54th minute after he went down in the area claiming contact with Scott Malone, but the United winger was given a second yellow card. Millwall are up to 10th in the Championship. āWe asked the players for an honest performance, a really hard-working performance,ā Rowett told millwallfc.co.uk. āIf we did the right things tactically we would cause them problems. āA place like this is a difficult place to come, thereās always a fabulous atmosphere, they won their last home game, you know of they start brightly then all of a sudden itās a very difficult game, theyāve got fabulous players, particularly in forward areas that caused us problems. āBut I thought for the first half an hour we were absolutely brilliant. We counter-attacked, we transitioned, we got our wing-backs in dangerous positions. Our front three caused them problems, I thought we were really, really good. āAnd then I would say for about 10 minutes before half-time they just started to cause us a few problems. Theyāre going to do that with the movement that theyāve got. āThey just dragged us out of areas, they made a change as well and that made a difference, almost playing with two 10s. Those two 10s got behind our midfielders and caused us one or two problems. āWe made a mistake before half-time which was disappointing because I felt we deserved to go in 1-0 up. āThen half-time changes things a little bit just in terms of that psychology. āWe scored a very good goal, I forgot to mention. Youād have to ask him if it was a cross or a shot, Iām sure heād say it was a shot. But the fact is heās quite close to the byline and puts it in a good area with pace. āDoes he mis-hit it, is it a perfect shot? I donāt know, of course he will, thatās why I havenāt bothered to ask him! āBut itās good play, whether we get a little bit of good fortune I felt we deserved it with our performance. ā1-1 means itās a difficult game, it means the game swings in their favour. For 10 minutes the second half I have to say I was very close to changing formation, very close to changing because I felt as though I needed to. They were causing us problems. āThe sending-off, I havenāt seen it so I donāt know. Scottie felt the lad kicked his leg and then went down, so I donāt know if thereās contact. I was worried for a second that the referee had given another penalty. āThe sending-off changes it a little bit again because now we get into those transition forward areas a little easier. They still had chances and Bart had to make a couple of good saves, their keeper had to make a couple of good saves. āI felt we had to take one of our moments, we had quite a few second half when we needed to be a bit more clinical. āAnd then in the end Coops hits a wonderful, wonderful strike. It deserves to win any game of football. āI felt we deserved it based on the fact that itās a tough place to come, weād lost our last game. We deserved it for the bravery that we showed for the vast majority of the game. āI was tempted to go to 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1 [after the sending-off] and put another forward in. But you look at Sheffield Unitedās good players and every time the ball broke to them they just kept getting into good positions and looking like they might get something. āI thought it was a game where freshness might win us it rather than a tactical change. We put Mason on as a left wing-back to see if he might change the dynamic of the game. āIt was a really end-to-end game the last 15 or 20 minutes, Iām sure it was a really good game to watch for the neutral. For both managers Iām sure it wasnāt quite the game that you want. āCould we take one of our chances? We finally did. I didnāt think it was one of the chances we would take but Coops certainly makes the most of it and itās a wonderful strike.ā Credit News at Den https://newsatden.co.uk/82096-millwall-boss-on-bravery-if-jed-meant-goal-coops-strike-and-sheffield-united-red-card/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=millwall-boss-on-bravery-if-jed-meant-goal-coops-strike-and-sheffield-united-red-card

#HarryKane #England #Denmark #Euro2020 ENGLAND 2-1 DENMARK (AET) - MARTIN SAMUEL AT WEMBLEY STADIUM: Touching me, touching you. England are in their first final since 1966. At Wembley, against Italy. Drink it in. Who knows when we will pass this way again. Gareth Southgate's hoodoo breakers did it once more. Four consecutive semi-finals lost in extra-time. The fifth, won. When it was over the players and staff linked arms and sang Sweet Caroline as they stood in front of the small section of Wembley that houses family and friends Their loved ones. They are the loved ones now, too, of course. The nation will love this. Love this team. Love what they stand for, what they represent. The resilience they showed, fighting back having gone a goal down. The bravery to win in a period of the match in which England teams have traditionally stumbled. Southgate let his emotion out, too. Walked to the noisiest section of the crowd, punching the air, clenching his fists, screaming at the top of his lungs. What a manager he is proving to be. Gervonta Davis thrilled a boisterous crowd of 14,129 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, winning the vacant WBA World Lightweight title with a twelfth-round TKO over the courageous Yuriorkis Gamboa in the main event of an entertaining card on SHOWTIME Championship Boxing. Making his lightweight debut, Davis, a two-time champion at super featherweight, went into the 12th round for the first time in career, showing that he carries power late. On Friday, Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) initially weighed in at 136¼ before coming back to weigh 134.8 pounds 90 minutes later. There was some speculation that the weight cut would zap Davisās energy reservoir. He had a lull in the middle rounds, though still managed to land 120 of 321 total punches (37%) to Gamboaās 78/617 (13%). āComing into this fight, I knew Gamboa was a tough opponent, even though everybody was writing him off,ā Davis said. āI was catching him and I was hurting him, even though he was alert. I believe my performance was a C-plus. āThe (weight cut) wasnāt really a problem. I blame myself. Iām improving. I feel comfortable at both weights (130 and 135). Iām the top dog.ā Davis was sharp early on. With 1:45 left in the second, he dropped Gamboa with a short left cross. Gamboa rose but limped for the rest of the frame. Afterward, it was revealed that he had tore an achilles and would require surgery. In lasting until the twelfth, Gamboa (30-3, 18 KOs) not only showed bravery, but also had his moments during the fight. āIām a warrior, I kept going,ā the former unified world featherweight champion said afterward. āBut as soon as I felt it, I knew it was ruptured. I canāt put pressure on it.ā Gamboaās corner taped up his right ankle between the fourth and fifth rounds. It didnāt matter. In the fifth, Davis exerted more punishment on Gamboa, landing a left hook off of Gamboaās chin, then a left uppercut. The fight nearly ended in the eighth, when, late in the stanza, Davis floored Gamboa again with another left. The Cuban stumbled to his feet and was saved by a bell that rang moments later. Gamboa showed great character in hanging in against Davis. But the tone of the fight had grown monotonous. Davis was winning almost every second of every round. Finally, in the twelfth, Davis connected with a beautiful left uppercut square on Gamboaās chin. He crashed to the canvas a third time. Referee Jack Reiss had seen enough, immediately waving the fight off. Official time was 1:17. #GervontaDavis #DavisGamboa #FullFight Visit PremierBoxingChampions.com for more info.
