Big GC Gaps Open On Long Time Trial | Volta Ao Algarve 2022 Stage 4 Highlights
At 32.2km-long, this is the longest individual time trial used at the Volta ao Algarve since 2013! There are no real technical aspects to this course, but there is some climbing to contend with. The riders will also need to pay close attention to the wind forecast on this stage. Battle For The Podium | Tour de La Provence - Stage 3
For the first time in its seven-year history, the Tour de la Provence’s organisers have placed the traditional summit finish stage on the final day of racing. With 3,289m of climbing to conquer and a finish line that lies atop Montagne de Lure - a 16km-long climb that averages 6% - this stage guarantees fireworks. Crosswinds, Crashes & Chaos | Tour De La Provence - Stage 1
Day two offers up the only opportunity for the sprinters at this year’s race, so you can bet that they, and their teams, will be doing everything in their powers to keep the breakaway on a tight leash. The finish line will be passed twice before the end of the stage, giving the fast riders a chance to do a detailed recon and choose their sprinting lines for later on. Stage 2 | Live Broadcast | 2021 Absa Cape Epic
The Witzenberg Valley is undoubtedly one of mountain biking’s most challenging playgrounds, making Stage 2 a fitting holder for the title of Queen Stage. Sheets of sandstone provide the ultimate testing ground for man, woman and of course, machine. No quarter is given by Mother Nature in this fertile valley. For those strong enough not to require one, there are rewards around every kink in the trail. First though you have to reach the fabled playground. Crossing the Ceres Valley is the first step on the journey. Then comes the Old Gydo Pass. On the Bokkeveld plateau the dual track climb gives way to singletrack. Snaking ever upward into the Witzenberg Mountains the trail becomes increasingly technical. As it starts to weave its way between sandstone outcrops the Land Rover Technical Terrain begins. It is far from the only technical section of the day’s route however. In the valley below, nearly 20 kilometres of virtually uninterrupted singletrack awaits. Only the day’s final climb brings an end to the singletrack. From the summit Table Mountain is visible on clear days, as is the stage finish, at Saronsberg.
