The 31-year-old forward struck for a pair of first-half goals to pace the Reggae Boyz to a 3-2 win over Honduras in both teams CONCACAF Gold Cup Group C opener Monday night at the National Stadium in Kingston. Jamaica became the first Caribbean team to host a Gold Cup match and they got the fans in the Office buzzing just 15 minutes into the match. Bailey, the 21-year-old Bayern Leverkusen winger, chipped ahead to Peter-Lee Vassell and the LAFC midfielder’s shot was tipped by Honduras goalkeeper Luis Lopez. The rebound fell to Dever Orgill, who guided his header into the net. Orgill then pulled out all the stops for his goal celebration, starting with a backflip and ending it with a Usain Bolt victory pose, fittingly from the track. Orgill had his brace four minutes from halftime, putting a deflected attempt past Lopez with his left foot after a feed from Brian Brown following a penetrating run from FC Cincinnati right back Alvas Powell. Leon Patrick Bailey (born 9 August 1997) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays as a winger for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. Bailey grew up in the Cassava Piece area of Kingston, Jamaica. He played for the Phoenix All-Star Academy operated by his adoptive father, Craig Butler. In 2011, Butler arrived in Europe to find a club for his son Kyle Butler and Leon Bailey. They wandered around Austria, Germany, and Holland, before ending up in KRC Genk, where Bailey went on trial at the beginning of 2012. Genk was convinced of his qualities, but because of the very strict regulations on minors by FIFA, they couldn't offer him a contract. Alex Marshall (born 24 February 1998) is a Jamaican international footballer who plays for Cavalier, as a left winger. Born in Kingston, Marshall attended St. George's College. Club career Marshall began his senior career with Cavalier in the 2014–15 season. In 2015 he trained with the American club Philadelphia Union.[3] In May 2017 he scored in the KSAFA Super League final.[4] In October 2018 he was linked with a transfer to several English teams, including Leicester City, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and West Ham United. While playing for the Jamaica under-17 team, Marshall was awarded the 'Most Valuable Player' award in a Caribbean Football Union tournament in October 2014. Darren Dimitri Mattocks (born 2 September 1990) is a Jamaican professional footballer who plays for FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer and the Jamaica national football team. Mattocks played for the University of Akron where he made 47 appearances and scored 39 goals over two years. He was nominated for several awards during his tenure, including one to the first-year All-American teams by several different media outlets. Mattocks was selected by Vancouver Whitecaps FC with the second overall pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft. He made his club debut on opening day against the Montreal Impact coming off the bench. Soon after his club debut he suffered severe burns from a cooking accident and missed almost two months before returning to the line-up on 9 May against FC Edmonton when he scored his first goal for the Whitecaps in the 93rd minute. Mattocks scored his first MLS goal on 26 May 2012 against the Portland Timbers. Mattocks scored six goals in his first nine MLS appearances in 2012. In the Whitecaps' first-ever playoff game versus the LA Galaxy, Mattocks scored the first ever playoff goal for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the fourth minute of play. He earned the team's Golden Boot award that year with seven goals. Mattocks was traded in March 2016 to Portland Timbers in exchange for targeted allocation money and general allocation money. On December 10, 2017, Mattocks, after having his contract option rejected by Portland, was traded to D.C. United in exchange for an international roster slot. D.C. United exercised Mattocks' option for 2018, but he lost his starting role after Wayne Rooney arrived in the mid-summer as a Designated Player.
