As we come closer and closer to the business end of the CSA T20 Challenge 2022 we are getting more and more mouth-watering fixtures. We are now in the 26th game of this tournament. This time it's the Rocks who are playing the Knights at the St. George's Park in Port Elizabeth. Rocks are currently sitting safe at the third spot with 17 points from 6 matches and this is their last match of the league stage. They are almost certain of playing in the second semi-final. On the other hand, Knights who are having a poor tournament as they are at the last position with just 4 points from 6 matches and add to that it is also their last match in the league stage. But they will love a win to end their campaign. In their last match, Rocks won against Dolphins defending a low total of 120 runs. They won the game by a margin of just 8 runs. Their bowlers were able to sneak through the overs quickly without leaking much runs. And also they took wickets at crucial moments. Rocks initially lost a couple of games but then they made a strong come back by winning back to back matches. Now they have enjoying a 4 match winning streak and will love to make it five heading in to the knockouts. Talking about Knights, they are having a poor season as they lost five games out of six played. In their last match, they lost to Lions by 5 wickets. They have problems in their batting department as well as in their bowling department. Neither they are posting formidable total nor they are able to defend the total which has been put on the board. They will like to end the season on a high and try to dent the confidence of their opponents. So this should be an intriguing fixture as one team is on a high at the top half of the table and the other which is trying to end the season on a winning note. Their performance has been boosted by the inclusion of young leggie Alana King, who has picked up five wickets from the couple of matches and has been posing a threat to all kinds of batters around the World! With just one match to unfurl, it's sure that the Afghans will be participating in this contest for pride. Bangladesh has incurred a fighting and a comfortable victory in the first two ODI's and Tamim Iqbal has led the team quite well in both the games. The youngsters have been brilliant for the Bangladeshi Tigers and have made things easy for a clean-sweep. Afghanistan on the other hand, has lacked proper depth in their batting order. Scores of 215 and 218 aren't enough to win games in 50 overs, specially when the opposition has experienced batters and is playing in their home turf. Though it's a dead rubber on Monday, but surely, the Afghan side has to put out some good plans and execute it well against this formidable Bangladesh side. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the 3rd and final ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The hosts, Bangladesh have already won this 3-match ODI series as they are 2-0 up. They will now try to get a clean sweep out of this while Afghanistan will look for a win here to save their nations pride. In the last two ODI's probably Afghanistan had a clear chance to win the first one as they reduced Bangladesh just to 45/6 chasing 219 to win. It was all Fazalhaq Farooqi in the initial stages as he picked up 4-wickets. This was their game to lose and they couldn't handle the lower-order of the hosts resulting in a 4-wickets loss. Mehidy Hasan and Afif Hossain's unbroken seventh wicket stand of 174-runs was the climax of the game. But the second ODI was completely dominated by Bangladesh as they crush aside the visitors by a comfortable margin of 88-runs. The senior pros of Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim played exceedingly well as they posted 306/4 in the 50-overs. The former scored a brilliant century while the latter ended 14-runs short of what would have been a cracking hundred. Since all the three ODI's are taking place at the same venue both the teams will have a fair idea about the surface and will field a balanced eleven for sure. Batting first looks like a good choice because in both the games chasing has been very difficult. Though the first game was won by a chasing side, it was only because of Bangladesh's brilliant lower-order batting display as they were in a deep trouble at one stage. So it should be ideal for a captain to bat first if they win the toss. Afghan might go with the same playing XI but Bangladesh might think of giving opportunities to the players who are there in the waiting list as they have already sealed the series.

The Titans have been the most consistent side in the tournament having won six of their seven group games. They had all their bases covered in the crucial junctures of the game and managed to win their semi-final clash against the Dolphins quite comprehensively by 6 wickets and with 35 balls remaining. On the other hand. the Boland Rocks haven't been at their best in the competition but still managed to go through to the final. They managed to scrape through to the last four courtesy four wins out of seven but they were quite astounding in the semi-final clash beating the Western Province by 7 wickets (11 balls remaining). Some injury concerns for team India continue as it has been reported that Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the series and will undergo a rehab at NCA. Mayank Agarwal has been named as his replacement for the remaining two games. India had a terrific game at Lucknow. First up with the bat as skipper Rohit Sharma and his new opening partner Ishan Kishan made merry of the conditions and also took lots of doubles and triples as the ground dimensions were a bit larger, putting the fielding team under tremendous pressure. Vice captain Jasprit Bumrah, debutant Deepak Hooda and Harshal Patel (2 overs) went wicketless and Venkatesh finished his spell on the expensive side as he was taken to the cleaners in the death overs when Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were relieved off their bowling duties.
