#Bangladesh vs #Afghanistan #Cricket #TufailShahzad- 3rd ODI - 28th-Feb-2022 - Afghanistan tour of Bangladesh 2022 Its time for game no.3 of the ODI series between Afghanistan and Bangladesh and the hosts are in a commanding position with 2-0 lead. With just one match to unfurl, it's sure that the Afghans will be participating in this contest for pride. Bangladesh has incurred a fighting and a comfortable victory in the first two ODI's and Tamim Iqbal has led the team quite well in both the games. The youngsters have been brilliant for the Bangladeshi Tigers and have made things easy for a clean-sweep. Afghanistan on the other hand, has lacked proper depth in their batting order. Scores of 215 and 218 aren't enough to win games in 50 overs, specially when the opposition has experienced batters and is playing in their home turf. Though it's a dead rubber on Monday, but surely, the Afghan side has to put out some good plans and execute it well against this formidable Bangladesh side. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in the 3rd and final ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The hosts, Bangladesh have already won this 3-match ODI series as they are 2-0 up. They will now try to get a clean sweep out of this while Afghanistan will look for a win here to save their nations pride. In the last two ODI's probably Afghanistan had a clear chance to win the first one as they reduced Bangladesh just to 45/6 chasing 219 to win. It was all Fazalhaq Farooqi in the initial stages as he picked up 4-wickets. This was their game to lose and they couldn't handle the lower-order of the hosts resulting in a 4-wickets loss. Mehidy Hasan and Afif Hossain's unbroken seventh wicket stand of 174-runs was the climax of the game. But the second ODI was completely dominated by Bangladesh as they crush aside the visitors by a comfortable margin of 88-runs. The senior pros of Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim played exceedingly well as they posted 306/4 in the 50-overs. The former scored a brilliant century while the latter ended 14-runs short of what would have been a cracking hundred. Since all the three ODI's are taking place at the same venue both the teams will have a fair idea about the surface and will field a balanced eleven for sure. Batting first looks like a good choice because in both the games chasing has been very difficult. Though the first game was won by a chasing side, it was only because of Bangladesh's brilliant lower-order batting display as they were in a deep trouble at one stage. So it should be ideal for a captain to bat first if they win the toss. Afghan might go with the same playing XI but Bangladesh might think of giving opportunities to the players who are there in the waiting list as they have already sealed the series.

India vs Sri Lanka - 2nd T20I - 26th-Feb-2022 - Sri Lanka tour of India 2022

#India #Sri Lanka - #2ndT20I #SriLankatourofIndia 2022 After a stellar performance in the shortest format throughout the season, team India will aim to whitewash another team in their home conditions after they won the first game in convincing fashion. Sri Lanka at the other hand will try to make a big comeback and try to keep the series alive for the decider that is to be played tomorrow. Some injury concerns for team India continue as it has been reported that Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the series and will undergo a rehab at NCA. Mayank Agarwal has been named as his replacement for the remaining two games. India had a terrific game at Lucknow. First up with the bat as skipper Rohit Sharma and his new opening partner Ishan Kishan made merry of the conditions and also took lots of doubles and triples as the ground dimensions were a bit larger, putting the fielding team under tremendous pressure. Thanks to a quickfire knock from Shreyas Iyer at the end, India put up a massive total of 199 runs in their 20 overs. The bowlers then took over and allowed Rohit Sharma to experiment with the bowling attack which included using Venkatesh Iyer at the death and also allowed a smooth comeback for Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja at the international arena. The only positives for the Sri Lanka team were the fighting knocks from Charith Asalanka who scored a patient half century, holding one end batting at number 4. Fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera also fluently played his strokes batting lower down the order and scored his highest T20 score. Only Ravindra Jadeja bowled his full quota of four overs as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer picked up a couple of wickets each with Jadeja, and Yuzvendra Chahal chipping in with a wicket apiece. Vice captain Jasprit Bumrah, debutant Deepak Hooda and Harshal Patel (2 overs) went wicketless and Venkatesh finished his spell on the expensive side as he was taken to the cleaners in the death overs when Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were relieved off their bowling duties. Toss and the pitch report coming up and live action to follow.

Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi - Eliminator 1 - 24-Feb-2022 - Pakistan Super League 2022 - PSL 7

This match comes to us from the legendary Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Good evening and welcome to THE ELIMINATOR! A high stakes encounter is before us today as Islamabad United face off against Peshawar Zalmi for a chance to stay alive in the tournament! I am Anirudh Modi, soon to be joined by my co-commentators Ajay Singh and Badal Pareek, will bring you the live ball-by-ball coverage of this much anticipated encounter! Well, we are in the endgame now. Multan Sultans continued their brilliant run this tournament by defeating the Lahore Qalandars and becoming the first team to reach the finals of PSL 2022. But we are focused on the eliminator today. Islamabad United will take on Peshawar Zalmi in today's game to face Lahore Qalandars in the second eliminator. Islamabad United's negative run rate impacted their season in a bad way. They were level on points with Lahore Qalandars after the round robin stage. However, Lahore's superior run rate meant they were the team to have 2 bites of the cherry. Islamabad Untied led by Asif Ali will be relying on their in form batter Alex Hales to provide them a flying start today. The Englishman has scored 255 runs from just 7 matches at an average of 42.50. Shadab Khan will be the man to watch. He is the highest wicket taker this tournament with 17 wickets in 7 matches. However, he can be a threat with the bat too. He has scored 232 runs this season at a strike rate of 165.71! Peshawar Zalmi on the other hand will be looking to the veteran Shoaib Malik to step up for them today. He has amassed 346 runs this season from 10 matches at an average of 43.25! His experience will be crucial to hold the Zalmi's batting lineup together today. With the ball, the bowling duo of Irshad and Riaz will have to do most of the heavy lifting. Many players, battles to watch out today and the action is just a few minutes away!

India vs Sri Lanka - 1st T20I - 24th-Feb-2022 - Sri Lanka tour of India 2022

We are back for yet another T20I series and this time team India will face a stern test in the form of the Lankan Lions. Ever-since Rohit Sharma took the reins of the Indian limited-overs side, they have been nearly untouchable and have won three back-to-back white-series. Yes, they'll be missing a couple of key players in their ranks, but this Indian side is a formidable unit in their own backyard. The series provides a perfect opportunity for Rohit Sharma to test his sides' bench strength. Now talking about Sri Lanka, they played well in bits and pieces against the Aussies, but failed to steer past the victory line in four out of five games. Their win in the last T20I against the Aussies will give Sri Lanka loads of confidence ahead of a daunting task that lies ahead of them. With no Wanindu Hasaranga, Sri Lanka will heavily rely on Theekshana to come up with the goods in the middle overs.

Warriors vs North West Dragons - 28th Match - 23rd-Feb-2022 - CSA T20 Challenge 2022
Warriors vs North West Dragons - 28th Match - 23rd-Feb-2022 - CSA T20 Challenge 2022

#Warriors vs #NorthWestDragons #CSAT20Challenge2022 The 28th match of the tournament will see the North West Dragons square off against the Warriors in which is expected to be a keenly fought contest. Both these teams haven't had the best of tournaments so far having won just two of their six matches so far. The Dragons have a better net run rate in this regard but the Warriors need to play out of their skins to harbour hopes of going through to the next four. Both teams still have a theoretical chance of going through to the next four but it certainly looks very bleak. The Dragons gave their best in the previous match against the Titans but eventually fell short by 33 runs in the pursuit of a target of 168. The result of this match might not have a great bearing on the tournament but we can be in for a classic encounter. We are in here for the last match of the league stage in the CSA T20 Challenge 2022 as Warriors take on North West Dragons at St. George's Park in the beautiful city of Port Elizabeth. This is game number 28 and doesn't have any threat on the teams that are at the top 4 in the points table. Currently, Warriors are at the 6th position with 8 points from 6 matches while North West Dragons are at the 5th place with 9 points from same number of matches as the Warriors. If Warriors win then they will occupy the fifth place and if they lose then there will be no change on the positions of the teams in the table. In their previous game, Warriors beat Lions by 5 wickets with 25 balls remaining. They were clinical with both bat and ball. All-round performance from Wihan Lubbe, Ndwandwa's terrific spell with the ball and Ngoepe's match winning cameo were the highlights from this game. But they haven't been at their best throughout the tournament as they won only 2 out of 6 games which is the reason why they are eliminated from the race to play-off. Today they will try to end the season on a winning note. North West Dragons, who are at the similar position as that of their opponents but just ahead by them with a margin of one point. They also won just two games out of 6 played and are also out from the play-off race. Their previous game was nothing good to remember as they bowed down to Titans by 33 runs. They finished on 134/7 chasing 168 runs to win. They didn't make enough inroads in their opponents batting line-up and also didn't bat well enough to hunt the target down. This has been their story in almost every matches they have played. They will like to end the tournament on a high and secure their 5th spot in the table.
