ANAHEIM -- After throwing a career-high 117 pitches over seven strong innings and reaching as high as 100 mph on the radar gun in a 3-2 win over the Rangers on Friday, Angels manager Joe Maddon wouldn’t have blamed two-way star Shohei Ohtani for asking for a day off on Saturday. But Ohtani asked to be in the lineup and again proved he’s not dealing with any late-season fatigue, as he crushed a three-run homer in the sixth inning to put the Angels up 4-0. Ohtani leads the Majors with 43 blasts, three ahead of Kansas City’s Salvador Perez. No Angels player has ever led the Majors in homers in a season, and the club record is 47 homers by Troy Glaus in 2000. #Shohei_Ohtani #Angels #MVP
You won't believe how the Pirates vs Cubs game ended last night or maybe you will, because the Pirates have had a lot of strange losses this season. Sergio Alcántara scores on a dropped popup to lead the Cubs to a 6-5 win over the Pirates in the 11th inning #Wilmer #Cubs #Pirates
When it comes to the MLB replay system, manager Bob Melvin and the A's have a poor record. Their replay bad luck continued against the New York Yankees on Saturday when Melvin was tossed in the bottom of the third inning for arguing a non-reversal that was pretty obvious. #Yankees #A's #MLB
Do you agree with me that something needs to be done about fans fighting in the stands. Time to start doing some jail time. Thanks to @TDurbin on twitter for letting me use the video #Fighting #Fans #Padres
Crazy Night at SoFi Stadium, it was the first time fans were allowed to be in the stands for a game and some might have had too much to drink as some of them starting fighting. Rumors are this is what the fight was about. I was in that section, 103. The fight was between St. Louis Rams fans and Los Angeles Rams fans. They were arguing over the Rams' owner's decision to move the team to LA. #Fighting #SuperBowl #Sofi
Fernando Tatis Jr. wasted no time making an impact for the San Diego Padres in his return from the injured list Sunday, slugging his 32nd and 33rd homers in an 8-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks while playing right field for the first time as a professional. The 22-year-old All-Star -- batting leadoff -- ripped a double down the left-field line in his first at-bat but was stranded at third in the first inning. He added a solo homer in the third on a towering fly ball that landed in the left-field stands and another solo shot in the fifth that easily cleared the wall in approximately the same spot. #TatisJr. #Outfield #Padres
