Ron Darling pitches his first complete game of the 1986 season against Los Angeles with Bob Welch going for the Dodgers. a close ballgame until all hell breaks loose in the Mets bottom half of the sixth after George Foster line drive Homerun to left off Dodgers reliever Tom Niedenfuer as Foster comes out for a curtain call Niedenfuer loses it and next pitch is at Ray Knights ribs and Knight Charges the mound and a brawl ensues. Including a few great defensive plays from Eddie Milner and great game all around. Original Recorded VHS recently restored and Digitalized and added to the collection of games from the 1985 season intense ending stretch drive for the NL East Title against the first place St. Louis Cardinals. and the Mets. Original WOR TV 9 complete Broadcast with Ralph Kiner, Tim McCarver and Steve Zabriskey from Wrigley Field. Dwight Gooden vs Johnny Abrego (who only pitched in six games for the Cubs in 1985 just a short cup of coffee in the Big leagues) this game is one of his five starts for Chicago that season and his career. Doc Gooden continues to prove he's the Cy Young Award winner for 1995 by pitching another complete game shutout while striking out seven Cubs. Mets are getting down to the last few games of the season fighting for the top with the Cardinals who are on fire late in the 1985 season and continue winning and keep the lead in the NL East with time running out for New York. *Includes special edition of Kiners Korner as Ralph interviews Mets owner Nelson Doubleday and also includes a few News 9 Updates on Hurricane Gloria throughout the game. Original WOR Broadcast with Ralph Kiner, Tim McCarver and Steve Zabriski from Shea Stadium complete game broadcast. Ray Fontenot vs Sid Fernandez Sid Fernandez pitches 8 solid innings allowing only one hit (Homerun by Gary Matthews) while striking out 11. Back to Back HRs by Gary Carter and Darryl Strawberry in the 2nd and a 2 run HR by Foster in the third provided all the runs the Mets would need against Chicago and giving Fernandez his seventh win of the season as the Mets fight for first place in NL East late so in the 1985 season Boxscore https://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/1985/B09190NYN1985.htm

Recorded and Digitalized off an original VHS recorded tape which has some damage when converting the tape thu DVD Recorder in 2002 the signal in the damaged tape (Top 1st Inning) wasn't getting to the recorder so it may jump around some with some distortion but clears up for the bottom 1st. Ray Fontenot makes his first career start against the Mets and Sid Fernandez. Back to Back Homers from George Foster (Grand Slam) and John Christensen in the third all the Mets needed This game recently discovered on some unmarked DVDs I had from burning and pretty much forgot about this one..up for the first time om youtube I believe now all restored despite's some VHS damage a nice archive to both Mets and the Cubs 1985 season. 'Dr. K' continues to dominate the NL early in the 1985 season one of the youngest starting pitchers for the season, Dwight pitches another complete game shutout allowing only three hits and striking out 13 in one of his best games pitched for 1985 also a couple hits for Doc.
