He credits Memphis' defense for some of Houston's struggles on offense. He hopes the NCAA Selection Committee puts Memphis in the Tournament because Coach Sampson believes Memphis is an NCAA Tournament team. He believes the AAC doesn't get enough credit. He thinks Houston, Wichita State, and Memphis should be in the Tournament. Coach Sampson discusses his emotions on Senior Day for Justin Gorham, Brison Gresham, and DeJon Jarreau.

Coach Silas postgame: "I wish we could have come up with that basketball at the end."
Coach Silas postgame: "I wish we could have come up with that basketball at the end."

Initially, Coach Silas was very short with his answers after the Rockets' 101-94 home loss to the Miami Heat Thursday night. But, he gave more detailed answers after awhile. The Rockets have lost 4 straight games. Coach Silas did not like the quality of three-point shots the Rockets got versus the Heat. He doesn't have a medical update on P.J. Tucker (thigh) and Victor Oladipo (foot / ankle). Both of them left the game in the second half and did not return. Coach Silas laments the Rockets' not getting a defensive rebound after the Heat missed in in the final seconds of the game after Houston pulled within 3 of Miami.

John Wall: "Basically, we relied on just shooting threes and that hurt us."
John Wall: "Basically, we relied on just shooting threes and that hurt us."

John talks with the media after the Rockets' 101-94 home loss to the Miami Heat. The Rockets have lost 4 straight. John and Eric Gordon each scored 17. DeMarcus Cousins and Jae'Sean Tate each scored 16. He says he and Victor Oladipo have a good chemistry on the court. Rockets led by as much as 13 in the first half. John would like the Rockets to run more pick-and-roll sets and not as much Five-out offense. He'd like the team to attack the paint more. He says he needs to do a better job getting his teammates involved. John discusses the New York Knicks -- the Rockets' opponent on Feb. 13 -- and also this season with no media in the locker room for interviews.
