Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets in Mumbai. Jason Behrendorff got MI off to a great start with the wicket of Virat Kohli in the third over. AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali consolidated the innings with a 95-run partnership. Kieron Pollard ran AB de Villiers out in the last over as MI restricted RCB to 171/7. Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma got MI off to a flyer with a 70-run stand. Moeen Ali pulled things back for RCB with the wickets of Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock in the eighth over. RCB stayed in the game by picking up wickets at regular intervals. However, Hardik Pandya wrapped up the chase with a 16-ball 37-run innings.
Rajasthan Royals beat Mumbai Indians by four wickets. Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 187/5 in 20 overs. Quinton De Kock was the top-scorer with 81 while Rohit Sharma made 47. Jofra Archer returned with figures of 3/39. In reply, Jos Buttler made 87 as RR chased down the target in 19.3 overs. Ajinkya Rahane made 37 while Sanju Samson scored 31. This was the second win for Rajasthan Royals this year.
Mumbai Indians beat Kings XI Punjab by three wickets in a last-ball thriller in Mumbai. KL Rahul and Chris Gayle got KXIP off to a great start with a 116-run stand. Mumbai Indians pulled the match back with the wickets of David Miller, Karun Nair and Sam Curran. However, KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 100 to help KXIP post 197/4 in 20 overs. IPL debutant Siddhesh Lad was dismissed for 15 runs in the fourth over. MI kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Kieron Pollard kept the scoreboard moving. Pollard, who scored 83 runs off 31 balls, departed in the last over when MI needed four runs from five balls. Alzarri Joseph and Rahul Chahar held their nerve and took MI over the line.
