Visiting Site At Old Mosaic Stadium - October 9th, 2021
For a quick vlogging on the go and ahead of catching the Calgary Stampeders on the road. I've checked out and rewarded by curiosity on what's happening or if I'm even allowed to walk on the site where the former Mosaic Stadium or Taylor Field used to sit before when the Saskatchewan Roughriders moved to the new Mosaic Stadium during the 2017 CFL Season. So far it's still an empty patch of land but according to some fans that there's some kind of proposals to build a housing or condo complex. It's in a prime location with history attached to it. I've reflected on my time that I've caught three games at the old stadium before demolition and touched upon what probably is the biggest moment being the 103rd Grey Cup win in 2013 for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Also did touch upon a family remember who lived in Regina, Saskatchewan and took pictures at Saskatchewan Roughrider games but unfortunately isn't around anymore and didn't get to see the new stadium. What memories do you have at the old Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan? I've just scratched the surface being it's on the go and making my way to catch my Calgary Stampeders on the road. Calgary Stampeders Warm Up Rally Montreal Alouettes 2021
Capturing the Calgary Stampeders warm up rally ahead of their game against the Montreal Alouettes during the 2021 CFL Season. This was the Calgary Stampeders third straight home game to open up the 2021 CFL Season and also the first game without Bo Levi Mitchell at quarterback. This was Jake Maier's first CFL start for the Calgary Stampeders for this game. Calgary Stampeders are celebrating their 75th anniversary season which you see in their special home red uniforms. Calgary Stampeders To Place Bo Levi Mitchell On Six Game Injured List
Oh Shit!, is exactly how I have to open up this video talking about the Calgary Stampeders placing quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell on the six game injured list. This will for sure alter the Calgary Stampeders fortunes where already they're down 0-2 at the start of the 2021 CFL Season when this story broke. The Calgary Stampeders are now left with Michael O'Connor as starting quarterback for the next few months and have Jake Maier on their depth chart. Michael O'Connor is a young Canadian quarterback who has championship experience when he led the UBC Thunderbirds to the Vanier Cup in 2015 but very limited in the CFL during his time as a rookie with the Toronto Argonauts in the 2019 season. Jake Maier hasn't played in the CFL as he was originally signed by the Calgary Stampeders in 2020. Calgary Stampeders also had Dakota Prukop in camp, signing from 2020 CFL Free Agent Frenzy but he was released after training camp and has since been picked up by the Edmonton Elks. Bo Levi Mitchell turned out to have a broken fibula that he suffered during the Calgary Stampeders first game against the Toronto Argonauts and played through it against the BC Lions in the following week to start off the 2021 CFL Season. Bo didn't quite look right and did throw up 4 interceptions against the BC Lions. Do you think the Calgary Stampeders will be able to stay afloat without Bo for the next couple of months with Michael O'Connor, or is this season done? Personally am a little nervous but sometimes this is how stars are born. Just like with my Calgary Stampeders warm up rally video, it's been over 636 days since the last Calgary Stampeders game and 622 games since I've been in the stands at McMahon Stadium when counting the 107th Grey Cup. Calgary Stampeders Warm Up Rally Toronto Argonauts 2021 Home Opener
Finally back at McMahon Stadium for the first Calgary Stampeders game day in 636 days. Here's the Calgary Stampeders warm up rally ahead of their game against the Toronto Argonauts to kick off the 2021 CFL Season a little later than usual due to the global pandemic with COVID-19. With it being so long since game day and figuring out the teams routine. I felt a little rusty at capturing it but ultimately I'm glad that there's CFL football again and the COVID Police allow me to attend sporting events again. May also notice that the Calgary Stampeders are wearing their special 75th anniversary season jerseys that look awesome despite the KFC, Pop Shoppe, Popcorn Containers or Candy Cane memes. My Calgary Hitmen In Six - Games 15-21 (S03E05)
After a light game recap in the final episode because the Calgary Hitmen we're in COVID protocol where they we're shut down for two weeks. It got made up for it in this episode to close out season three with My Calgary Hitmen Game Recaps. There's no WHL Playoffs or Memorial Cup to play for in 2021 so these we're the last games for the Calgary Hitmen until next fall, hopefully. After having games rescheduled and made up. Ultimately the Calgary Hitmen only got to play 21 games instead of 24 as originally scheduled but would say they made up for lost time. Especially with an eventful game against the Edmonton Oil Kings and I guess it's the law that the Calgary Hitmen and Red Deer Rebels have to play in overtime.
