My Calgary Hitmen In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)
My Calgary Hitmen In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)

Time to do the next recap with My Calgary Hitmen In Six recapping games 7-12 during the 2020-21 WHL Regular Season. Before I recap the games I go over when my plan to make the following episodes for the rest of the season as the schedule has been released for the rest of the season. Calgary Hitmen had a stretch of six games where they've played the top teams in the Central Division with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Medicine Hat Tigers. Just like the previous episode I feel that the Calgary Hitmen have struggled on the penalty kill as they've allowed a power play goal in five out of six games. Right the now Calgary Hitmen are in the middle of the pack with the other WHL Alberta based teams. Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction & Housekeeping Items 02:55 Game 7 07:23 Game 8 11:27 Game 9 14:18 Game 10 17:15 Game 11 19:51 Game 12 22:27 Standings & Stats 27:56 Looking Ahead Regular Season: Game 7: Saturday, March 20th - Lethbridge Hurricanes 3 @ Calgary Hitmen 4 (OT) Game 8: Sunday, March 21st - Calgary Hitmen 7 @ Lethbridge Hurricanes 4 Game 9: Friday, March 26th - Calgary Hitmen 3 @ Edmonton Oil Kings 4 Game 10: Saturday, March 27th - Edmonton Oil Kings 5 @ Calgary Hitmen 2 Game 11: Sunday, March 28th - Calgary Hitmen 2 @ Edmonton Oil Kings 1 Game 12: Friday, April 2nd - Medicine Hat Tigers 4 @ Calgary Hitmen 1 Calgary Hitmen vs Alberta: Edmonton Oil Kings 1-2-0 Lethbridge Hurricanes 2-1-0 Medicine Hat Tigers 1-3-0 Red Deer Rebels 1-0-1 As usual after I recap how the past six games went. I take a look ahead to the next six games on the schedule especially now that the rest of the WHL schedule has been released for the Calgary Hitmen. Keep in mind that the 2020-21 WHL Regular Season will only be 24 games. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy my content to follow along with this Calgary sports fans journey. My Calgary Flames In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)
My Calgary Flames In Six - Games 7-12 (S03E03)

Back with another episode in My Calgary Flames In Six. This time I take a look at games 7-12 during the 2020-21 NHL Regular Season from a Calgary Flames point of view. This segment of games I feel that the Calgary Flames have shown some inconsistencies but can also hang with the top teams in the North Division. Would say that the Calgary Flames have had played more of the top teams in the first part of schedule when compared to the other divisional teams in this North All Canadian Division. This episode featured a lot of the Winnipeg Jets as part of the five game road trip that the Calgary Flames we're on. As well the first of ten Battle of Alberta match-ups with the Edmonton Oilers. Also worth noting that the Calgary Flames have been getting much of their offense from their top forwards including Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Elias Lindholm. Matthew Tkachuk keeps doing his thing as well and Jacob Markstrom keeps proving to be that stud goaltender that the Calgary Flames have missed since Miikka Kiprusoff retired. Other tidbits that happened during this game recap. Chris Tanev might of scored the blooper goal of the season where he scored a goal from his own blueline against the Winnipeg Jets. Will make his first goal as a Calgary Flame memorable. Also Blasty made his return with the Calgary Flames with their reverse retro jerseys worn for the first time. Regular Season: Game 7: Saturday, January 30th - Calgary Flames 2 @ Montreal Canadiens 0 Game 8: Monday, February 1st - Calgary Flames 4 @ Winnipeg Jets 3 (SO) Game 9: Tuesday, February 2nd - Calgary Flames 2 @ Winnipeg Jets 3 Game 10: Thursday, February 4th - Calgary Flames 1 @ Winnipeg Jets 4 Game 11: Saturday, February 6th - Edmonton Oilers 4 @ Calgary Flames 6 Game 12: Tuesday, February 9th - Winnipeg Jets 2 @ Calgary Flames 3 Calgary Flames vs North Division: Vancouver Canucks 2-0-0 Edmonton Oilers 1-0-0 Winnipeg Jets 2-2-1 Toronto Maple Leafs 0-2-0 Ottawa Senators 0-0-0 Montreal Canadiens 1-1-0 After 12 games the Calgary Flames are 6-5-1 for 13 points on the season and in the thick of the playoff race. May come down to who wins the Battle of Alberta against the Edmonton Oilers on who makes the playoffs and who doesn't. I debut a new segment that I'll talk about the Stockton Heat with what I'll call Stockton Heat Quick Hits. When the Stockton Heat which is the AHL team for the Calgary Flames get their games in I'll talk about how each game went and who stood out. Stockton Heat Schedule: Game 1: Sunday, February 21st - Toronto Marlies @ Stockton Heat Scotiabank Saddledome 2PM Game 2: Tuesday, February 23rd - Toronto Marlies @ Stockton Heat Scotiabank Saddledome 6PM Game 3: Wednesday, February 24th - Toronto Marlies @ Stockton Heat Scotiabank Saddledome 6PM Game 4: Friday, February 26th - Toronto Marlies @ Stockton Heat Scotiabank Saddledome 2PM After I go over the games and stats I always take a look ahead to the next six games that the Calgary Flames will play and that'll be a part of the next episode. Calgary Flames will be having a four game set against the Vancouver Canucks and a back-to-back home and home with the Edmonton Oilers for the next episode. My Calgary Flames In Six - Games 1-6 (S03E02)
My Calgary Flames In Six - Games 1-6 (S03E02)

Time to get the 2020-21 NHL Regular Season away for the Calgary Flames and nothing better than playing nothing other than Canadian teams. The 2020-21 NHL season will be more compressed since it didn't start until the middle of January amidst of the global pandemic with COVID-19. I return for the third season of My Calgary Flames In Six where I recap how the previous six games went for the Calgary Flames. Started off with the Winnipeg Jets which was the first match-up since the play in series from the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Then a couple of back-to-backs with the Vancouver Canucks and Toronto Maple Leafs before wrapping up this segment with the Montreal Canadiens. So far I would say the Calgary Flames have some work to do in terms of playing a full game and the penalty kill as I recap the first six games of the season. Regular Season: Game 1: Thursday, January 14th - Calgary Flames 3 @ Winnipeg Jets 4 (OT) Game 2: Saturday, January 16th - Vancouver Canucks 0 @ Calgary Flames 3 Game 3: Monday, January 18th - Vancouver Canucks 2 @ Calgary Flames 5 Game 4: Sunday, January 24th - Toronto Maple Leafs 3 @ Calgary Flames 2 Game 5: Tuesday, January 26th - Toronto Maple Leafs 4 @ Calgary Flames 3 Game 6: Thursday, January 28th - Calgary Flames 2 @ Montreal Canadiens 4 As usual after recapping how the previous six games went and go over some quick stats. I take a look at the next six games on the schedule and give my feelings with how things are at. I'm so far liking this All-Canadian Division just for this season due to the travel restrictions with COVID-19. Intro: Legend application found on iOS and Google Play. Missing The Labour Day Rematch In 2020
Missing The Labour Day Rematch In 2020

Would call this video a sequel to missing the Labour Day Classic tradition in the Canadian Football League (CFL) that I made last week. The following week the CFL has the Labour Day Rematch which is another thing I'm missing in 2020 with everything cancelled due to the global pandemic with COVID-19. The two traditional Labour Day Rematches are the Banjo Bowl with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers facing off each other again but this time in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Also touch upon why the game has been called the Banjo Bowl. However as a Calgary Stampeders fan I talk about the Labour Day Rematch with the Calgary Stampeders facing off against the Edmonton Eskimos again but this time in Edmonton, Alberta. I share my experiences and memories of the game that I remember both watching on TV and live in person which I've made the trip up to Edmonton more often. Especially with the game now being played on Saturday after Labour Day Monday now. There's some years that stand out more so that others both good and bad as a Calgary Stampeders fan that I share in the video. Hopefully just like the Labour Day Classic. Hope that I'll be back at attending games live in 2021 including making the trip up to Edmonton in my red. My Calgary Stampeders This Month - No 2020 CFL Regular Season Edition (S03E01)

I'm back for season three of My Calgary Stampeders This Month however since the 2020 CFL Regular Season has been cancelled due to the global pandemic with COVID-19. There's no actual games to recap but I did go over the original schedule for the Calgary Stampeders and think what could of been. This season was also suppose to be the 75th anniversary season for the Calgary Stampeders since the franchise was established back in 1945. Guess we'll need to defer to celebrating the 75th anniversary season until 2021 assuming the games and fans will return. What was originally scheduled for the 2020 CFL Regular Season before being cancelled due to COVID-19. My Calgary Flames In The Stanley Cup Playoffs - First Round Recap (S02E18)
My Calgary Flames In The Stanley Cup Playoffs - First Round Recap (S02E18)

Recapping the first round series between the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars. This is the first time that these teams met in the playoffs if you don't count the 1981 Conference Championship when the Dallas Stars franchise we're the Minnesota North Stars then. While I felt this year things went better than last year against the Colorado Avalanche. Felt some of the same issues came to front on some top players not stepping up and defense looking suspect at time. Could also pin a few moments where the series was won and lost. First Matthew Tkachuk injury in Game 2 and second allowing Joe Pavelski's tying goal with 12 seconds left in Game 4 that forced the game into overtime. In that overtime Dallas won and tied the series up where Calgary was close to taking a 3-1 series lead. Explain some key moments in each game and give my feelings on each game. Ultimately as a Calgary Flames fan I'm suffering another first round heartbreak. Since winning the Stanley Cup in 1989. Calgary Flames have only advanced past the first round twice being in 2004 and 2015. Schedule: Game 1: Tuesday, August 11th - Calgary Flames 3 vs Dallas Stars 2 Rogers Place 3:30pm Game 2: Thursday, August 13th - Calgary Flames 4 vs Dallas Stars 5 Rogers Place 8:30pm Game 3: Friday, August 14th - Dallas Stars 0 vs Calgary Flames 2 Rogers Place 8:30pm Game 4: Sunday, August 16 - Dallas Stars 5 vs Calgary Flames 4 (OT) Rogers Place 12pm Game 5: Tuesday, August 18th - Calgary Flames 1 vs Dallas Stars 2 Rogers Place 3:30pm Game 6: Thursday, August 20th - Dallas Stars 7 vs Calgary Flames 3 Rogers Place 8:30pm Dallas Stars Win Series 4-2 Around The NHL Eastern Conference Philadelphia Flyers (1) over Montreal Canadiens (8) 4-2 Tampa Bay Lightning (2) over Columbus Blue Jackets (7) 4-1 New York Islanders (6) over Washington Capitals (3) 4-1 Boston Bruins (4) over Carolina Hurricanes (5) 4-1 Second Round Philadelphia Flyers (1) vs New York Islanders (6) Tampa Bay Lightning (2) vs Boston Bruins (4) Western Conference Vegas Golden Knights (1) over Chicago Blackhawks (8) 4-1 Colorado Avalanche (2) over Arizona Coyotes (7) 4-1 Dallas Stars (3) over Calgary Flames (6) 4-2 Vancouver Canucks (5) over St. Louis Blues (4) 4-2 Second Round Vegas Golden Knights (1) vs Vancouver Canucks (5) Colorado Avalanche (2) vs Dallas Stars (3) After recapping the series and touching upon the other series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with who won and second round match ups. I go over the past season and potential off season decisions the Calgary Flames will need to make. Mainly possibly shopping around Johnny Gaudreau or maybe Sean Monahan. Maybe a few other players as well. Who to keep on defense for free agency and will Calgary possibly be a player in free agency? Will Calgary officially name Geoff Ward as head coach? Or maybe seek a Peter Lavoilette or Gerard Gallant who are proven veterans as head coach that are available. Plan to make videos during the off season when it concerns the draft, free agent frenzy and if any significant transactions happen. Thanks for watching and this will conclude season two. If I continue doing this I'll return for season three for the 2020-21 NHL Regular Season whenever it begins. Could be December or maybe January at this stage. New York Rangers Win 2020 NHL Draft Lottery
New York Rangers Win 2020 NHL Draft Lottery

After making my first video on the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery where a placeholder team won the first overall pick. This is my follow up video reacting to the New York Rangers who ultimately won the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery and will have the first overall pick in the draft. Interesting how things played out not only the placeholder team winning the lottery but it was now down to one of the eight teams who didn't make it out of the play in series of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. This was Phase II of the lottery as a placeholder team made it into the top 3. Would of been more of an interesting reaction to the NHL Draft Lottery if one of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers or Toronto Maple Leafs that won the draft lottery for their own unique reasons. All of those teams we're knocked out of the play in series and all eight teams had and equal chance of landing the first overall pick. Alexis Lafreniere is likely going to be selected first overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft who is a star in the QMJHL with the Rimouski Oceanic. Sidney Crosby also played for Rimouski before being selected first overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. How the draft over looks after the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery and going into the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. 1) New York Rangers 2) Los Angeles Kings 3) Ottawa Senators (From San Jose Sharks) 4) Detroit Red Wings 5) Ottawa Senators 6) Anaheim Ducks 7) New Jersey Devils 8) Buffalo Sabres 9) Minnesota Wild 10) Winnipeg Jets 11) Nashville Predators 12) Florida Panthers 13) Carolina Hurricanes (From Toronto Maple Leafs) 14) Edmonton Oilers 15) Pittsburgh Penguins Also at the end of the video I talk about Claude Julien the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens and why he had to leave the team suddenly. Hopefully he'll get better after being rushed to hospital with chest pains. Please like and subscribe if you enjoy my content to follow along with this Calgary sports fans journey. My Calgary Flames In The Stanley Cup Playoffs - First Round Preview (S02E17)

After the Calgary Flames successfully defeated the Winnipeg Jets in the play in series. I preview the upcoming first round series in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs as the Calgary Flames draw the Dallas Stars.
