The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Dallas Stars by a score of 4-2 in game 28 of the 2020-21 season, improving their record to 14-9-5 on the season. Dominik Kubalik opened the scoring after receiving a great pass from Brandon Hagel. Carl Soderberg would then extend the Blackhawks lead to 2-0 on a power play tally, a redirect from a Adam Boqvist shot. Duncan Keith then scored his first of the season unassisted. Alex DeBrincat then extended the lead to 4-0 with a power play goal from Patrick Kane and Adam Boqvist. The Stars would try to fight back in the 3rd period getting goals from Rope Hintz and John Klingberg, but couldn't muster enough to tie the game as Kevin Lankinen shut the door. Kevin Lankinen finished with 28 saves off 30 shots resulting in a .933 save percentage.

Alex DeBrincat Hit a milestone scoring his 100th goal of his career as well as his 200th point. Patrick Kane continued his hot streak picking up 2 assists on the evening as well. Adam Boqvist also found the scoresheet twice with two assists. Malcolm Subban was stellar in net stopping 39 shots on 42 shots for a .929 Save Percentage. The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 6-5 in a shootout, picking up their 10th win of the season, improving their record to 10-6-4 on the season. Carl Soderberg opened the scoring on the power play with Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat assisting on the marker. Patrick Kane would then pot his 9th of the season and his 398th career NHL goal, Pius Suter and Mattias Janmark assisted on the goal. Cam Atkinson would strike shortly thereafter to get the Blue Jackets on the board. Patrick Laine would strike 48 seconds into the 2nd period to tie the game on the power play. Brandon Hagel would then score his first ever NHL goal to give the Blackhawks a 3-2 lead, Patrick Kane and Carl Soderberg would pick up the assists. Patrick Laine would quickly strike back to re-tie the game at 3 with his 2nd power play goal of the game. Dominik Kubalik would then put the Blackhawks ahead once again with a rocket his 3rd 5 on 5 goal for the season. Assists going to Duncan Keith and Carl Soderberg. Adam Boqvist with give the Blackhawks a 5-3 lead with a rocket shot on the power play. His first of the season. Assists going to Patrick Kane and Dominik Kubalik. Oliver Bjorkstrand would then pot two goals to tie the game at 5.
