This video gives you an idea of how deep grandmasters calculate in their games. Sethuraman played a mindboggling game against Max Illingworth in the 9th round of the Asian Nations Online Cup 2020. He sacrificed an exchange, then ran his king up the board, at some point came down to 0.2 seconds, but eventually drew the game. We have GMs Surya Ganguly, Sasikiran, Nihal Sarin, Adhiban and Srinath Narayanan all analyzing this game. By watching all them analyze together, you learn how the top GMs calculate and how quickly they see things! Team India's qualification was on the line as they had to either win or draw their final match against Australia. In such a tight situation it was Nihal Sarin who came to the rescue with an amazing win over Australian GM Temur Kuybokarov. With this win India managed to tie the score 2-2 and we made our way to the Quarter Finals. It couldn't have been possible without Nihal's win. Finally India finished 6th and we will face Mongolia in the QF. In this video we have Nihal Sarin showing his positional understanding in the first phase of the game and then some insane bit of calculations to finish off his opponent. He is joined by all other team mates - Surya, Sasi, Sethu, Adhiban and his trainer Srinath.
