Hence, every time they sit opposite each other, it is a treat to watch On 10th of July it happened once again in a 5+2 blitz game. IM Sagar Shah brings you the analysis. The last over the board game that Vishy Anand played was in Bundesliga in February 2020. After nearly 15 months, Vishy Anand is back with a bang at the Croatia Grand Chess Tour Rapid and opened the event with a win against Jorden van Foreest. The game was a typical Sicilian with both sides trying their best to checkmate and outwit their opponent. In the end it was Vishy Anand who came out on top! A very interesting event was organized by Chess24 on the 19th of April 2021. Magnus Carlsen took on all the youngsters who took part in the Challengers Chess Tour in 3+0 blitz games. The idea was to have back to back games and see how many points does the World Champion score against the best youngsters in the world of chess. Magnus performed amazingly well and scored 19.5 points out of a possible 22. He lost only 2 games - one of them against Awonder Liang and the other against Nihal Sarin. We bring you the game between Carlsen and Sarin and show you how accurately the youngster played the game. We also bring to you some words spoken by Nihal's former trainer Dmitri Komarov who spoke about Nihal's strengths as compared to Carlsen.
