No. 11 Montana State 77, UC Davis 37: Dakota Prukop threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns as the Bobcats cruised. Montana State gained a school-record 737 yards of total offense. The 77 points were the most ever scored by the Bobcats against a Division I team. Prukop has amassed 997 yards of total offense and accounted for 14 touchdowns in the last two games. Running back Shawn Johnson caught four passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns, including a 65-yarder that put the Bobcats up 49-23 in the third quarter. The teams combined for 48 third-quarter points. Sophomore Ben Scott started his first career game at QB for the Aggies. He threw for 379 yards with four touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 72 yards. Gabe Manzanares rushed for 142 yards and scored on a 53-yard run in the loss. Portland State 23, UC Davis 14: Kieran McDonagh ran for a pair of touchdowns and Jonathan Gonzalez kicked three field goals to lead the Vikings to a win in their conference opener. McDonagh scored on runs of 6 and 3 yards in the first half as the Vikings built a 17-0 halftime lead. Portland State rallied to cut the lead to 17-14 on a pair of London Lacy touchdown passes. Nate Tago rushed for 106 yards in the win. Gonzalez connected on kicks of 53, 30 and 19 yards. Northern Arizona 38, Cal Poly 35: Running back Casey Jahn caught a 12-yard touchdown pass with 21 seconds to play on a fourth down to lift the Lumberjacks to the home win. Jahn had broken up a potential game-ending intercerception on the previous play. Chase Cartwright completed 22-of-35 passes for 279 yards and four touchdowns in the back-and-forth contest. Cal Poly QB Chris Brown put the Mustangs up 35-31 with a 7-yard TD run wih 6:31 to play. Brown threw for 214 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 91 yards and two scores. Cartwright drove the Lumberjacks 71 yards in 10 plays in 1:15 with no timeouts for the game-winning score. No. 2 Eastern Washington rallied for a thrilling 52-51 road win over No. 14 Montana State in Bozeman on Saturday in a non-conference matchup. Jan. 4, 2014 - Sacramento State 91, Montana 81 Sac State was led by Hallie Gennett, who had 17 points, Alle Moreno added 15 points, Andrea Chenier recorded 13 points and Fantasia Hilliard recorded 12 points. Moreno led on the boards with seven. UM was led by Jordan Sullivan, who recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Kellie Cole, who had 21 points. The Hornets shot 41.1 percent from the floor to the Grizzlies 51.5 percent. SAC recorded 16 steals and UM had six blocks. Northern Arizona (8-9, 5-1) 77, Portland State (7-8, 2-4) 56: Senior Max Jacobsen scored 19 points and true freshman Kris Yanku added a career-high 17 points off the bench as the Lumberjacks won their third game this week. The Lumberjacks pulled away from a 31-31 halftime tie by making .704 percent (19-of-24) of their second-half shots. NAU shot .589 percent fro the game, and held a 36-21 rebounding advantage. NAU scored 50 points in the paint. Gaellan Bewernick scored 10 points with seven rebounds. Quinton Upshur netted 12 points. Gary Winston led Portland State with 13 points. Brandon Cataldo had 10 off the bench. The Vikings shot .396 percent from the field.
