OK, so in this video, we take a look at the current Nothern Division playoff race, and try and break down the teams are a threat right now, towards the Montreal Canadiens, who are clinching they're arse cheeks in the 4th and final spot. The current order of the Standings is as follows. Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Vancouver Canucks and the Ottawa Senators. However, the Vancouver Canucks right now have played up to 6 less games than some of the other teams in the division, due to their recent Covid-19 outbreak on the team. This means that while being 8 points out of a playoff position right now, they definitely still have a chance, considering the 2 teams ahead of them have been playing poorly of late. Ok so in today's video, we do a game preview for the matchup tonight between the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers. This is their second game this week, as these two teams already squared off once on Monday night, a game in which the Oilers defeated the Habs by a score of 4-1. The Habs were winning 1-0 right up until 10 minutes was remaining in the 3rd period, and than Connor McDavid decided to turn into a complete madman, and overpowered the Habs, and getting some nice points in the process. The last game between these 2 teams was a really chippy matchup, with lots of hits, scrums, and even a couple of concussions. Will tonight's game be similar? Lets wait and see! Ok , so its time to review this very frustrating game that happened last night, April 19th, 2021, between the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers won this game by a score of 4-1. The Habs had the lead for 50 minutes of hockey, and were receiving some excellent goaltending from both Carey Price and Jake Allen, although when it mattered the most, in the last 10 minutes of the game, they failed to shut down the Oilers. Also, they only managed to muster up 1 goal in another 60 minutes of play, as offense has been a huge issue for them of late. Alright guys, its time for another game preview, as tonight, April 19th 2021, the Montreal Canadiens square off against the Edmonton Oilers, at Rogers place, Edmonton, Alberta! This is the first game of a five game road trip for the Habs, and the last time these two teams met, the Habs won the game by a score of 3-2, with veteran Eric Staal scoring the overtime winner for the Habs, in his very first game wearing that uniform. Unfortunately for Staal though, he hasn't done much of significance since that goal, and has been on the 4th line of late, struggling to generate any offense, much like the rest of the team. The Oilers are just coming off a win against the Winnipeg Jets, while the Habs just lost an important game against the Ottawa Senators. Who wins tonight?! Let me know your predictions in the comment section, GO HABS GO! And good luck Oilers fans. Ok guys, so in this video, we review the game that happened today , April 17th 2021, between the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators. The Sens defeated the Habs in this one by a score of 4-0, with Matt Murray earning a shutout, in a fairly uneventful game from the Habs standpoint. A very disappointing effort, and a very boring game in my opinion. Thank God this one is over, as now the Habs head out on a Western road trip, with Cole Caufield accompanying the team, however it is still unclear whether the Habs can somehow manage to get him into the lineup, unless an injury were to occur to a player on the trip, according to Domonic Ducharme after today's practice. Goals today from the Ottawa Senators Artem Zub, Drake Batherson x 2, and Nikita Zaitsev. Alright guys, so its that time again, for a game preview, FOR ROUND 2! Between the Montreal Canadiens, and the Calgary Flames.. The last time these 2 teams met, was just a couple of days ago, in a game which the Flames outplayed, and defeated the Habs, by a score of 4-1. The Habs looked like deer in headlights during this game, and they were outworked from the time the puck dropped at 60:00, right until the game ended. Lets hope tonight, our Habs give more of a fight, as the Flames are now only 4 points behind , and both teams are fighting for the final playoff position in the Northern Division. So in this video, we review the game last night between the Montreal Canadiens, and the Calgary Flames. In this game the Flames defeated the Habs by a score of 4-1. The Habs played a rather humiliating game, and failed to generate many chances against the Flames throughout the entire game. The Flames had also played the night before, and should have been the team looking tired during this one, although this was not the case, as they played a great game, outworked the Montreal Canadiens, and definitely deserved the win. Jacob Markstrom played a great game for the Flames, and they were able to roll 4 lines effectively. The lone goal for the Habs, was scored by Bret Kulak, the unlikeliest of goal scorers, although Kulak has played sound hockey for the Habs on their blueline, and it was nice seeing him score a goal. Ok, so in this video, we take a look at the possibilities that the Habs currently have with Cole Caufield, and with recent news of the relaxed upcoming schedule that the Laval Rocket have, due to the Toronto Marlies Covid-19 stoppage, is now a better time than ever to call up Caufield? Even if he doesn't play a game, but instead joins the team for good intense practices, learning the systems, meeting the guys, etc. What are your thoughts on the situation? Please, let me know in the comment section, as I always enjoy hearing what you guys have to say.
