Although the Tri Nations Cup is all-but secured by New Zealand after their emphatic 38-0 whitewash of Argentina last week, this match is technically not a dead rubber. The Pumas need to win by a 93-point margin to upset the points differential, whilst the Australia need an extra eight points more. In the immense unlikelihood that either side will defeat the other by so many points, there is little pressure on this match to do anything other than win it and not come last. Argentina, however, have been in turmoil this week over the sacking of their captain Pablo Matera and his suspension, alongside Guido Petti and Santiago Socino, for historical xenophobic social media posts uncovered recently and then the flip-flopping on that decision on Wednesday. This unrest in the camp, as well as their brutal defeat last weekend, should leave little room in their stomachs for a last hurrah here and the Wallabies can enjoy an offensive exhibition where they likely share the tries amongst a rotating line-up. Former international scrumhalf Matt Dawson has compared the current England team to the All Blacks side that dominated the previous decade. In the wake of England’s 18-7 win over Ireland this past weekend, Dawson wrote in his BBC Sport column that Eddie Jones has turned England into a relentless, ruthless team that no other Test side wanted to face. Springboks Under The Spotlight After Argentina Win... The world champions South Africa surprised many last month when they announced their decision to withdraw from what would’ve been the Rugby Championship. Instead, Argentina, New Zealand and hosts Australia would contest for a Tri-Nations title. It was revealed that the Springboks wouldn’t travel to Australia due to challenges with COVID-19, with player welfare one of the reasons cited. Another issue was the lack of game time that players had had, with players only having played a few weeks of Super Rugby Unlocked, the South African domestic competition for this year, at that stage. The national side also hadn’t played together since the World Cup Final in November last year. Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus, who was head coach of the Springboks for last year’s World Cup victory in Japan, said that his players would need 400-500 minutes of game time before they’d be ready for Test match rugby. #Springboks #TriNations2020 #Argentina If you'd like to donate & show support to my channel, you can do so by: ► Become a member: https://bit.ly/2UM5Dp9 ► Patreon Account: http://bit.ly/2GqsDm3 Please Like, Share & Subscribe to Walking Tall with G-MAN ►Please Subscribe: http://bit.ly/2IHrfeW ►Business Enquiries: garethmason3@gmail.com ► Subscribe to my second channel: http://bit.ly/2Gi6Ign Connect with me on my Social Media Channels: ► Facebook: http://bit.ly/2Jz5lwi ► Twitter: http://bit.ly/2YRe0zu ► Instagram: http://bit.ly/32vbqBe ► Tik Tok: https://bit.ly/2RtO0IC ► Music by https://youtube.com/ikson or https://soundcloud.com/ikson Why I created my YouTube Channel: Through my YouTube Channel "Walking Tall with G-MAN" I strive to inspire and motivate people to never give up in life as well as using this platform to share my sporting passion. Cheetahs lost a close encounter with Sharks last Friday to be leap-frogged by their opponents into third place of the Super Rugby unlocked table. That 19-13 match displayed their season so far in a nutshell, as they are the team with the meanest defence but also the second-lowest scorers behind bottom-of-the-league Griquas. They play away to another big side now as the Stormers top the Sharks in second place on points difference as the two teams left in the league that can realistically challenge the runaway leaders, Bulls. This looks like another close match as the Cheetah’s defence can keep the score-line down but the hosts will be confident of a possible win. #SuperRugbyUnlocked #STOvCHE If you'd like to donate & show support to my channel, you can do so by: ► Become a member: https://bit.ly/2UM5Dp9 ► Patreon Account: http://bit.ly/2GqsDm3 Please Like, Share & Subscribe to Walking Tall with G-MAN ►Please Subscribe: http://bit.ly/2IHrfeW ►Business Enquiries: garethmason3@gmail.com ► Subscribe to my second channel: http://bit.ly/2Gi6Ign Connect with me on my Social Media Channels: ► Facebook: http://bit.ly/2Jz5lwi ► Twitter: http://bit.ly/2YRe0zu ► Instagram: http://bit.ly/32vbqBe ► Tik Tok: https://bit.ly/2RtO0IC ► Music by https://youtube.com/ikson or https://soundcloud.com/ikson Why I created my YouTube Channel: Through my YouTube Channel "Walking Tall with G-MAN" I strive to inspire and motivate people to never give up in life as well as using this platform to share my sporting passion. Australia pulled off an unlikely win Saturday as they bounced back from a record loss to beat New Zealand 24-22 in a thrilling Tri Nations Test match in Brisbane. With both teams reduced to 14 men in the first half following red cards for New Zealand’s Ofa Tuungafasi and Australia’s debutant Lachlan Swinton for high tackles, the Wallabies dug deep to come from behind to stun the All Blacks. After being smashed 43-5 in Sydney last weekend, the Wallabies were given little chance of turning the tables on the All Blacks, who had already secured the Bledisloe Cup with a game to spare. But they finished the stronger of the two teams and sealed the win when replacement prop Taniela Tupou crashed over with five minutes left to put the home side 24-15 ahead. New Zealand once again won the Bledisloe Cup last week with a dominant performance over the Wallabies but with the Tri Nations still on the line both sides still have plenty to play for. New Zealand are looking to rub salt in Australian wounds after crushing them 43-5 in record-breaking fashion at Sydney last weekend to retain the trans-Tasman Bledisloe Cup after a draw in Wellington and victory in Auckland. Australia are looking to bounce back from their humiliating Sydney loss, a sloppy performance marked by too many turnovers and a failure to create opportunities. France has climbed past Ireland into fourth place in the World Rugby rankings following their 35-27 win in the final round of the Six Nations. The French finished 2019 in seventh place after getting knocked out of the World Cup by Wales in the quarter-finals. An improved Six Nations campaign under new head coach Fabian Galthie had France claim a bonus-point win over Ireland in their last match and finish second to champions England on points difference. France’s victory has had them leapfrog Ireland into fourth place in the latest World Rugby rankings, behind England, New Zealand, and South Africa. The All Blacks are still in second place following their 43-5 win over Australia but have gained 0.72 points to move from 91.12 rankings points to 91.84. Meanwhile, Wales’ dismal Six Nations campaign has plummeted them below Scotland into eighth place. Six Nations final-round permutations: Ireland, England and France bid for championship glory. Title contenders France and Ireland meet in Paris on 'Super Saturday'; England face Italy in Rome; Wales play Scotland in Llanelli Ireland currently sit on top of the Six Nations table, a point clear of England and France. They travel knowing that a bonus-point win will guarantee them the title and that a win minus a bonus-point will likely see the destination of the title decided on points difference on a day when rivals England play away to Italy. #GuinnessSixNations If you'd like to donate & show support to my channel, you can do so by: ► Become a member: https://bit.ly/2UM5Dp9 ► Patreon Account: http://bit.ly/2GqsDm3 Please Like, Share & Subscribe to Walking Tall with G-MAN ►Please Subscribe: http://bit.ly/2IHrfeW ►Business Enquiries: garethmason3@gmail.com ► Subscribe to my second channel: http://bit.ly/2Gi6Ign Connect with me on my Social Media Channels: ► Facebook: http://bit.ly/2Jz5lwi ► Twitter: http://bit.ly/2YRe0zu ► Instagram: http://bit.ly/32vbqBe ► Tik Tok: https://bit.ly/2RtO0IC ► Music by https://youtube.com/ikson or https://soundcloud.com/ikson Why I created my YouTube Channel: Through my YouTube Channel "Walking Tall with G-MAN" I strive to inspire and motivate people to never give up in life as well as using this platform to share my sporting passion.
