Support The Channel https://www.patreon.com/luckymurray Destanni Henderson caught the ball on the wing, blew past Rae Burrell with a vicious crossover and finished at the rim to bring the Indiana Fever to a tie with the L.A. Sparks in the third quarter Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever rookie was leading the charge against one of the most-talented teams in the WNBA, and in the fourth quarter her teammates came alive as well, starting with a hustle play from fellow rookie Lexie Hull.

Couisnard, who was coming off a career-high 33-point performance in a 77-75 win over LSU on Saturday, has scored 20-plus in back-to-back game for the first time in his career. Couisnard, a junior, was 6 of 15 from the field against Mississippi State and he made all eight of his free throws. South Carolina never trailed and led by double figures the entire second half. Mississippi State pulled within 10 points with 14:24 left after a 7-0 run, but South Carolina scored 11 of the next 13 - with seven points from Couisnard. James Reese V had nine points for South Carolina (17-10, 8-7 SEC), which has a winning record in conference play for the first time this season. Tolu Smith scored 21 points and Iverson Molinar added 11 for Mississippi State (16-12, 7-8), which missed all 14 3-point attempts. Mississippi State was held to 31% shooting in the first half, going 0 of 7 from 3-point range, and trailed 35-23 after Devin Carter dunked it at the buzzer for South Carolina. The Bulldogs were outrebounded 24-13 in the half.

South Carolina Gets 4 Star Running Back Commit Lovasea Carroll Out Of Transfer Portal

Support The Channel http://www.patreon.com/luckymurray Former Georgia defensive back Lovasea Carroll announced on Monday that he's transferred to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Shane Beamer’s #WelcomeHome tweet for Carroll was sent out last Wednesday morning. Carroll, who was committed to South Carolina at one point during his high school career, will play running back for the Gamecocks. He was moved from running back to DB after he joined the Georgia football team about 12 months ago. Carroll (6-1, 195) saw action in four games as a DB. He had three tackles and a pass breakup, all of which was accumulated against Charleston Southern. He'll have four years to play four seasons at South Carolina.

Paul Finebaum changes tune on Shane Beamer at South Carolina after bowl win

Support The Channel https://www.patreon.com/luckymurray For a team expected to win no more than four games during the first season for coach Shane Beamer, the South Carolina Gamecocks' Mayo Bowl win over North Carolina last week was quite an accomplishment for a program with roster issues and extremely-thin quarterback depth entering the postseason. Seven victories in Year 1 for Beamer is reason for excitement, Paul Finebaum says. "What South Carolina did blew me away. When you look back to the preseason, it was impossible to predict where they’d end up," Finebaum said Monday on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning. Finebaum's complimentary tone is a far cry from his midseason opinion centered around poking fun at South Carolina fans after a 4-3 start.

At the University of South Carolina, this has remained true for many alumni. Notable figures from all over the country feel a strong influence from their time at USC has had a great impact on their life choices and, especially, their values, making their experiences forever valuable. Scott Eisberg, a sports news anchor for ABC News 4 in Charleston, said his experiences at USC helped him discover his passions and led to the cultivation of his career. Eisberg graduated from USC in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in business. “When it came to journalism stuff, I really put my time and effort into it," Eisberg said. "(The School of Journalism and Mass Communications) gave me hands-on training … We had everything that you would have in a regular TV station.” When asked about his biggest career boost attained from attending the university, Eisberg said his experience at USC helped him obtain internships.

Baker Beal snapped a picture of a new mural in the gym at Illinois’ Rock Island High School and sent it to his older sister in South Carolina. Brea Beal called what she saw “kind of surreal.” Lining the bottom of the bleachers at her former high school was a collage of Rock Island girls’ basketball memorabilia, including two large images of a high school-aged Beal featured among newspaper articles, team photo composites and other shots of Lady Rocks alumni.
