Shane Beamer’s #WelcomeHome tweet for Carroll was sent out last Wednesday morning. Carroll, who was committed to South Carolina at one point during his high school career, will play running back for the Gamecocks. He was moved from running back to DB after he joined the Georgia football team about 12 months ago. Carroll (6-1, 195) saw action in four games as a DB. He had three tackles and a pass breakup, all of which was accumulated against Charleston Southern. He'll have four years to play four seasons at South Carolina.
