FINAL POSSESSION Drama in Game 1 | Panathinaikos - Valencia | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS
FINAL POSSESSION Drama in Game 1 | Panathinaikos - Valencia | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS

Panathinaikos never trailed and outlasted Valencia 67-68 in a thrilling series opener. Kendrick Nunn scored 7 points in the first 2 minutes, sparking the Greens to an early 5-15 lead. It was 17-23 after 10 minutes, and little changed in a defense-dominated second quarter as the interval arrived with Panathinaikos up, 32-39. Braxton Key scored 8 points in the third frame to bring the hosts closer, 49-54. A trio of scores from Kam Taylor kept pushing Valencia and it was tied, 67-67, with 24 seconds left. Then Nunn was fouled in the act of shooting, and held his nerve from the line for the win. Nunn paced Panathinaikos with 21 points, supported by the energy of Mathias Lessort with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while TJ Shorts also scored 12. Jean Montero top scored for Valencia with 15 points, Key added 12 and Taylor scored 11 for the hosts, who paid the price for only making 6 of 33 three-point attempts. Panathinaikos lacked offensive fluency, only dishing 10 assists with 11 turnovers, but the Greens showed enough defensive resolve to grab a priceless win. Full Game: Friday Night Friction at the Stadium | Bulls vs. Pacers (December 16, 1988)
Full Game: Friday Night Friction at the Stadium | Bulls vs. Pacers (December 16, 1988)

Outside Chicago Stadium, the snow was drifting lightly and the wind was whipping off the lake, turning the city into the kind of holiday postcard the Chamber of Commerce loves. Inside, however, the Chicago Bulls were busy nearly handing a gift-wrapped victory to a struggling Indiana Pacers squad. What should have been a blowout turned into a "rough sleigh ride" for the 17,488 in attendance, highlighting the fragile nature of a Bulls team still trying to find its identity after the off-season trade that sent Charles Oakley to New York for Bill Cartwright. The Bulls held a commanding 19-point lead that evaporated as the Pacers' Wayman Tisdale began to exploit a soft interior defense. Indiana clawed back to within a single point with just 93 seconds remaining, exposing the recurring narrative of the 1988-89 season: if Michael Jordan doesn't do everything, the Bulls do very little. Jordan, playing the role of a hardwood Scrooge, finally slammed the door. He drew contact, converted the necessary free throws, and delivered a signature defensive rejection on a Chuck Person attempt to preserve the win. The night’s subtext, however, belonged to Bill Cartwright. While Jordan finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds, Cartwright recorded a dubious "triple-double"—23 points, 10 rebounds, and a staggering 10 turnovers. The big man’s lack of coordination was a source of constant irritation for Jordan, who often complained that Cartwright "fumbled" away the team's momentum. Yet, in a rare display of leadership that pierced the post-game tension, Cartwright gathered his teammates for a speech. Even delivered in his trademark raspy whisper, the message was clear: the sloppy play and near-collapses had to stop. This game serves as a window into the growing pains of a dynasty. With the arrival of Craig Hodges providing much-needed perimeter spacing, the pieces were beginning to move into place, but the friction between Jordan and his supporting cast remained the primary obstacle. It was a victory, but one that left the Bulls at a modest 11-10, still searching for the consistency required to challenge the elite of the Eastern Conference. Big Ten QB Rankings
Big Ten QB Rankings

Bring on the hate. I already know people are going to be upset with a couple of these. Who’s too high? Who’s too low? Who is just right? Dante Moore and Jayden Maiava are easily the best 2 QBs in the Big 10. Some would even argue in the country. Some people may argue that Julian Sayin is the best QB in the Big 10. I think he just has the best weapon. I think Demond Williams has a chance to finish as the best QB. Last year it felt like he disappeared against defenses with a pulse. Let’s see if he can take that next step this year. This is one might get some hate. I think Drake Lindsey is a top 5 QB in the Big Ten. I think last year we saw a few glimpses of how great he could be. Josh Hoover turn the ball over a little too much to be top 5. Maybe that drops now that he’s on a better team. Time will tell. Rocco Becht is a good QB, not a great QB. He’s not a Quarterback that is going to elevate the offense, but give him some solid weapons and he will thrive. Malik Washington didn’t get enough love last season. A lot of that has to do with his receivers failing to hold onto the ball, and he was on a bad Maryland team. Nico Iamaleava was one bright spot on a pretty bad UCLA team. Hopefully with a new coaching staff we see him take a significant jump. Let’s see if Katin Houser can make that jump back into the Big Ten after a good season at ECU. I think he’ll be fine. Not great. I cannot wait for the Anthony Colandrea experience at Nebraska. There’s gonna be a lot of ups and downs. It’ll be fun to watch. This is the one that could potentially make me look dumb. I wasn’t impressed with Underwood’s first season, but some of it wasn’t his fault. A new coaching staff and potentially better weapons might change my mind. Lonergan was one of the few bright spots on a bad Boston College team. I’m sure he’ll be fine for Rutgers. Colton Joseph is dangerous with his legs, and he’s probably going to give the Gophers problems. He is not the greatest passer though, and that will be his downfall in the Big Ten this year. Alessio Milivojevic played really well after he took over as the starter. Maybe I’m not being fair, but it’s only been 4 games. Aidan Chiles is too up and down with too many turnovers. Maybe Chip Kelly can bring some consistency to his game. Peace and love to Ryan Browne, but he’s never done anything to show me that he belongs any higher in the rankings. In his defense, he does play for Purdue. Idk who Iowa’s QB is going to be. I don’t think it matters. It will be a step down from Gronowski in my opinion. #collegefootball #viral #football #foryou #fyp #shorts #BigTen #bigtenfootball #b1gfootball #OhioStateFootball #OhioState #OhioStateBuckeyes #Oregon #OregonFootball #OregonDucks #USC #USCFootball #USCTrojans #Washington #WashingtonFootball #WashingtonHuskies #Minnesota #MinnesotaFootball #MinnesotaGophers #RTB #SkiUMah #GoGophers #Indiana #IndianaFootball #IndianaHoosiers #PennState #PennStateFootball #PSU #PSUFootball #Maryland #MarylandTerrapins #MarylandFootball #UCLA #UCLAFootball #UCLABruins #IllinoisFootball #Illinois #Nebraska #GBR #NebraskaFootball #NebraskaCornhuskers #Michigan #MichiganFootball #MichiganWolverines #GoBigBlue #Rutgers #RutgersScarletKnights #RutgersFootball #Wisconsin #WisconsinBadgers #WisconsinFootball #MichiganState #MichiganStateFootball #MichiganStateSpartans #Northwestern #NorthwesternFootball #NorthwesternWildcats #Purdue #PurdueFootball #PurdueBoilermakers #Iowa #IowaHawkeyes #IowaFootball

Montpellier Vs PSG Handball Semi-Final Highlights | Coupe de France 2026
Montpellier Vs PSG Handball Semi-Final Highlights | Coupe de France 2026

The Giant Falls: Montpellier Stuns PSG to Reach 2026 Coupe de France Final In a match that will be remembered as a tactical masterclass, Montpellier Handball delivered a stunning blow to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), securing a 39-35 victory in the Coupe de France semi-finals. The FDI Stadium witnessed a "Remontada" that shifted the balance of power in French handball, ending PSG’s domestic cup dreams for the 2026 season. Match Summary: A Tale of Two Halves The game began with high-octane intensity. For the first 30 minutes, PSG looked like the favorites. Led by the towering presence of Kamil Syprzak, the Parisians exploited gaps in Montpellier's central defense to take a narrow 19-18 lead into the locker room. However, the second half told a different story. Montpellier’s head coach adjusted the defensive scheme to a more aggressive 5-1 formation, which completely disrupted PSG’s rhythm. The definitive moment came between the 42nd and 50th minute, where Montpellier executed a ruthless 5-0 scoring run. Fueled by PSG turnovers and clinical finishing from the wings, the hosts turned a deficit into a commanding lead they would never relinquish. Player Statistics & Efficiency Ratings The individual performances were the deciding factor. David Balaguer put on a shooting clinic, while Valentin Porte acted as the ultimate floor general. Player Team Goals Assists Efficiency (%) David Balaguer Montpellier 13 2 100% (9/9 Penalties) Valentin Porte Montpellier 5 10 83% Kamil Syprzak PSG 10 1 91% Ferran Solé PSG 7 3 78% Elohim Prandi PSG 4 6 60% Goalkeeping Battle Charles Bolzinger (Montpellier): 11 Saves (31% Save Rate). His three consecutive saves during the 5-0 run were the catalyst for the victory. Jannick Green (PSG): 12 Saves (29% Save Rate). Despite a strong first half, he struggled to stop Balaguer’s precision from the 7-meter line. Tactical Analysis: Why PSG Collapsed Technical Faults: PSG committed 14 turnovers in the second half alone. Under pressure from Montpellier’s active hands, the Parisian backcourt lost their composure. The Balaguer Factor: Montpellier successfully isolated David Balaguer against PSG’s slower defenders, allowing him to maintain a perfect shooting record. Bench Depth: Montpellier’s rotations kept their intensity high, whereas PSG’s starters appeared fatigued by the 50-minute mark, leading to defensive lapses. The Road Ahead Montpellier now moves on to the Grand Final on May 24, 2026, where they will face HBC Nantes. For PSG, this loss marks a significant setback, forcing them to shift their entire focus toward the Liqui Moly StarLigue title race. #handballworld #handball #sports
