Dutch Mascot Girl Throws Up The V Sign Ahead Of Netherlands vs England Game

Oranje mascot who stuck her tongue out was ‘dared to do it by her teachers’ ============================================================= The six-year-old Dutch football mascot who stuck her tongue out for the cameras when Oranje were presented to the crowd ahead of Friday’s friendly against England was dared to do it by her teachers. ‘Teacher Sharon and teacher Jan, said “stick your tongue out when you are on tv” so I thought, I’ll just do it,’ Puck told the AD. Puck and her sister Dejé , who come from Berkel en Rodenrijs near Delft, were both in the mascot line-up and were told to stand up straight with their hands behind their backs during the national anthem. Dejé followed the rules, but Puck stuck her tongue out at the camera and made what she said is a peace sign. ‘I always do that on photos,’ she told the paper. ‘I think Memphis Depay (the player who Puck accompanied) thought I was cool because he said “that is my mate Puck”,’ the girl said. Her parents told the paper they were shocked by the negative reactions from Britain, triggered by the fact the girl’s peace sign was the wrong way round which is considered extremely offensive there. However, one commentator on Twitter said the girl had done nothing wrong. ‘Look what England fans have been doing in Amsterdam. Can’t compare,’ said Elgan Rhys Jones, referring to the arrest of over 100 fans who caused havoc in the city’s red light districht. 1988 Michael Jordan Made History | Unboxing Air Jordan 3 "FTL" | In-depth Review
1988 Michael Jordan Made History | Unboxing Air Jordan 3 "FTL" | In-depth Review

To celebrate both the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 3 as well as Michael Jordan’s 1988 Dunk Contest is the “Free Throw Line” Air Jordan 3. In the final round of the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, MJ raced from the opposite end of the court, planted his left foot on the stripe and launched himself toward the rim. As he drew the ball back toward his shoulder, the audience held its breath and the cameras flashed from every angle. It was a gravity-defying, time-bending, immortal dunk. The judges awarded it a perfect 50, sealing the contest for MJ. The latest Air Jordan 3 arrives in the colors of its 1988 debut – the same worn by MJ during that extraordinary flight. It includes the original Nike Air branding on the back. Down below, a Red stripe cuts across the translucent outsole to mark the spot where MJ left Earth and made history. Other details includes “3:51” on the back pull tabs as a nod to the time MJ took flight and “147” on the tongue to represent MJ’s total score in the final round of the Dunk Contest. The Air Jordan 3 “Free Throw Line” released on February 14th via Nike SNKRS Draw at 10AM ET / 7AM PT. The retail price tag is set at $200 USD.

Redick offered an extended apology Sunday night after a video circulated where he appeared to use a racial slur while wishing Chinese fans a happy new year. Redick said earlier in the day he was "tongue tied" during the segment.  Redick's updated explanation said he was trying to record a video message and mumbled his response and was then unaware of how it sounded. "Had I known it sounded anything like that, I would've been mortified and recorded the greeting over again," he wrote on Twitter. "I ask your forgiveness. This should be a time of celebration. I am so sorry for upsetting anyone." Please read. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/phL6v7Voeb— JJ Redick (@JJRedick) February 19, 2018The video, which was produced by Chinese media company Tencent, shows numerous NBA players but Redick seems to slip-up when his part is featured. "Clearly I was tongue tied as the word I purportedly said is not in my vocabulary," he wrote on Twitter earlier on Sunday. "I'm disappointed that anyone would think I would use that word. The Black Cat Air Jordan XXX is officially revealed, James Harden's adidas Playoff PEs arrive, and the Jordan X takes a strip to Paris. I am your host Jacques Slade and this is Today in Sneaks. Lets start with a Nike shoe that popped up on the web last night that I had not seen before, the Nike Air Turbulence LS. I honestly don’t recall seeing these before, but it looks like they are in stock at a few places and the best part is that the are pretty cheap by comparison. Nike has been playing around with the materials on the upper and maybe that is why they are starting to pop up on the blogs. Either way, If you want to grab a pair, they are only $110 and some are even on sale down to $80. I’ll include some links below for you to check out. Moving on to Bron Bron, the LeBron 13 is taking a page of the Kyrie 2’s book and it taking on the color scheme of an older Nike Basketball model, the Nike Command Force. These first popped up earlier this week and now the official images are starting to trickle down to the blogs. The shoe stays white for the most part, but Nike updates it with a touch of neon on the outsole, on the tongue branding, and over the Nike Swoosh To accent the neon color, a touch of blue has been added to the eyelets and flywire as well as the insoles and heel pull. Details on the exact drop date have not been revealed, so stay tuned and I’ll get you updated as soon as I can. The Houston Rockets are playoff bound, and if adidas Hoops has their way, you will see James Harden rocking one of these new colorways of the Crazylight Boost 2.5. Based on the red, black, and white color scheme, you can tell these were created to work with the Rocket’s jersey colors. Adidas has provided the bearded buy with both a home and an away version, both of which features harden’s 13 logo. The home colorway, black and white drops on April 29th, while the way colorway in red/black will arrive on May 14 Both pairs will cost you the usual $130. The Air Jordan XXX may have just left its mark as Jordan revealed a new colorway of the shoe that has caught the attention of sneaker Twitter. Revealed this morning, the shoe is being called the “Black Cat” Jordan XXX, and ode to MJ and a nickname he was given by his friends. When this shoe was first spotted, many were calling it Triple Black, but both names really work in my opinion. The part of the shoe that really caught my eye was the toe down, it just looks really nice. As for a release date, expect these to arrive on April 16 and though pricing has not been announced, I expect it to cost the usual $200. Finally, if you happen to live in Europe, you will have the chance to make sneakerheads here in the US jealous when you cop the Air Jordan 10 “Paris”. These are said to actually release this weekend and feature a textured upper that pops between the black and fierce purple colorway. For the outsole, Jumpman mixes translucent panels with purple and creates a pretty unique looking sneaker. For the final touch, a purple 75 is stitched into the side Again, look for these to drop on April 9th. For the question of the video, I want to know are elite shoes really elite? Or do you think it is just hype? Let me know your thoughts below. The NBA has fined Clippers forward Matt Barnes $50,000 for directing inappropriate language at a courtside fan who turned out to be Houston Rockets star guard James Harden's mother, the league announced Friday. During Game 2 of the teams' Western Conference semifinal series, Barnes, who had been exchanging words with fans throughout, made a profane remark toward Harden's mother. Matt Barnes has been fined $50,000 for directing inappropriate language at a fan -- who turned out to be James Harden's mother -- during Game 2. Jesse D. Garrabrant /NBAE/Getty Images Barnes said earlier Friday he was simply responding to remarks made toward him and didn't know he was making them at Harden's mother until afterward. "We've made our peace," Barnes said. "We've spoken twice since the incident. She said something and I said something back. I've heard speculation to what I allegedly said, which is crazy and untrue, but it is what it is. They're trying to start controversy. She said something and I said something back. I spoke to her at halftime and I spoke to her after the game and we're fine." Clippers coach Doc Rivers spoke to Barnes about the incident before Friday's shootaround, and Barnes said he hoped to put the situation behind him. "What I said was said and what she said was said. No matter what was said, we both said something," he said. "I got a tongue-lashing from Doc this morning, and we've made our peace, and I'm ready to play basketball." Added Rivers before Friday night's Game 3: "I was not pleased and I made that clear. I made it clear to Matt and to the entire team. "I just don't like it. We're out there and you got play. People talk and you got to play. Maybe I;m harder than other people but I want this team to be a great team in everything, first class in everything, so that's what I demand." Harden spoke about the incident to reporters Friday morning. "In any situation when you're talking about somebody's parents it's disrespectful," he said.
