Its episode 4 of thunder downunder and India wins at last against the aussies at Canberra. Did the toss play a crucial role across the ODI series? India had a comprehensive victory over the aussies, and it was a good victory for the Indians who have struggled for most part of this tour. The initial batting collapse was steadied and given a wonderful finish for the Indians by Hardik Pandya and Sir Ravindra Jadeja. Their partnership was vital as it gave the late surge for the Indians to get past the psychological 300 mark in the last Odi. Though the series was a disappointing one for the Indians they at least saved themselves from an embarrassing whitewash in the hands of the Aussies. Virat Kohli added another feather to his already illustrious career when he became the fastest player to touch 12,000 runs in one day international cricket. The record that was held by the great Sachin Tendulkar was broken by Virat Kohli the previous game and what an achievement for one of the best batsmen in the world. The Australians did not get to many loose deliveries as the Indians had bowled the previous couple of games, the bowlers were on mark and India would be glad to see that jasprit Bumrah has found some form in the previous match. The debutant Natarajan showed that he has the skills to take part in this level of the sport and his 1st wicket of Marcus Labuschagne announced his arrival in white ball cricket. Though the most impressive of the bowling lot was Jasprit bumrah the man who showed he has the talent was none other than the chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. Personally, he was one of the bowlers who stood out and his line and speed control was a joy to watch. The narrow victory for the Indians would give them confidence when they take on Australia tomorrow for the t20 international. Will it be a whitewash for the Aussies against the Indians? Did some of Virat’s decisions the previous game on the field cost India the game? The problem for India so far has been with the bowling and they have been facing quite a bit of flak for their performance the last couple of games. Virat Kohli’s baffling fielding placements and bowling changes did not help the cause and it resulted in India giving away to many runs to quickly. Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed shami have not been allowed to settle by the aussies batsman and the constant change In the bowling line up hasn’t allowed them to get into a routine. Moreover, the aussies batsman haven’t looked like getting out. Steven smith is proving to the world why he is one of the living legends in Cricket. He looked unstoppable and the best part of his innings was that there was no risk and he still scored a hundred of just 62 deliveries. When a batsman scores like that then he is truly scary to the opponents. When smith was out in the middle the runs were flowing like a Tsunami and the only thing the Indians could do was to watch him create havoc against them. The entire batting line up of the Australians have been in sublime form with both the openers giving them much needed starts that totally demoralized the Indians. All one could say is that the Indian bowling is looking pathetic and there is good chance this tour would become one of the worst tours India has been on the last few decades they have been visiting downunder. The batting of the Indian team on the other hand is looking solid, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul showed why they are one of the best in world cricket by the way both of them went about constructing their innings. Though Virat did not look at his best in the middle he still managed to score a brilliant 89 although the asking rate was very high by the time he got out. KL Rahul on the other hand also showed a lot of class while he was in the middle and overall, the one good take away for the Indians is the fact that their batting is looking like its still their main strength. The third ODI is set to take place in Canberra and the Australians will be hoping to beat them to take a clean sweep against the Indians. India need a complete shift in mindset and captain Virat Kohli needs to rethink on the strategies in order to show some teeth in the upcoming game tomorrow. Delhi capitals face the Mumbai Indians for the 4th time this ipl and in the most important Match of the season - the finals. the previous 3 times these teams had met had ended in a one sided affair in favour of Mumbai Indians. Will the Delhi capitals be lucky in its 4th attempt? Mumbai Indians has been the team to beat all season l. Their line up would make any international team jealous leave alone a sports franchise. Their line-up includes the likes of Rohit sharma , Quinton de cock , no.3 belongs to Surya Kumar Yadav, no.4 the pocket dynamite Ishan kishan and then the power house of finishers in Keiron pollard , Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya. The bowling line-up includes boom boom bumrah , trent boult , de nile and the leggie Rahul Chahar. This Xi will cause a lot of issues to the top international t20 sides let alone an ipl side. The Delhi capitals on the other hand have a pretty decent line up with Shikhar Dhawan in good nick from the last game. at last Delhi capitals have found a stable opening partner in Marcus Stoinis. No.3 has still been a big miss for Delhi capitals but they will be hoping that Ajinkya Rahane will come to the party when the team needs the most. Shreyas Iyer has been very hot or cold this season and Delhi capitals would be praying for him to be at his classy best. No.5 and No.6 have the 2 left handers in Hitmeyer and wicket keeper Rishab Pant. Axar Patel plays the role of the all-rounder and finally making up the tail is Rabada , Nortje , Ashwin and Dube.
