Former cricketers, including Kris Srikkanth and Scott Styris, took to social media to express their disappointment at the third umpire's decision even after seeing the replays. Notably, PBKS not only lost the appeal but lost their only review of the match. While Styris labeled the third umpire's decision as a "joke", Srikkanth called it "terrible umpiring" in an important match for PBKS, who are facing a must-win situation in the race for the play-offs.
